  1. Yep, 9 lebsteif for me. I absolutely love the car in ndwgolf's pic, maybe the best Supe I've ever seen. But for a front cover the background may be a bit busy for my liking. No 9 is perfect for a front cover - maybe darken down the sky a little as it's a tad over-exposed but it's an easy fix. There's plenty of room for a logo etc too.
  2. Unfortunately Angie and I can't make it this year - first time since 1992 that we haven't been there. I'm not sure how I'll cope! Maybe I'll have to have an all night BBQ or something. (That'd please the neighbours!) Anyway - I've dragged out our video of the journey to the 2005 Le Mans when Ian C, Digsy and Alex all came along with us. Just to get you all in the mood. I still want to go! CLICK
  3. So, Greenie - just how worried are you about getting throat cancer?
  4. Yes - that one belongs to Nigel Dobbie - the bloke that blew past us at Rouen on teh way to Le Mans in 2005. Price is down to about 22k now - not bad for an '03 Z06 So, Dave - you in the BRDC then?
  5. Best you get yourself off to the doc then - you need it recorded. And no, I'm not implying that anyone should do this sort of thing just to get more money out of an insurance claim. I had this happen to me once and didn't bother having it recorded or getting treatment for it. I've had trouble with my back ever since. Get yourself looked at mate. Hopefully it'll just be some muscles tightening up.
  6. Very good! I take it that was a managers '3 minutes'?
  7. Might be......... Good to see you both again. Hope you enjoyed the racing - the GT3 race was a bit close don't you think? I embarrassed myself at breakfast in our hotel - some bloke standing next to us in the queue for the fried eggs was wearing a t-shirt with some Le Mans 2006 stuff on it. So I ask him if he made it there last year - turns out he's a driver and does all the 24hr races in the world! He was in the C5 Corvette No.18 yesterday. Doh.
  8. At about 11.30 to 12 noon - Southbound between the Mildenhall roundabout and the A14. I was in a bright yellow Corvette going Northbound.
  9. As above - was being driven into the paddock area behind the pits shortly after 10am I think. Anyone? Also spotted Faye & Keith (No Supra though!) on foot as they crossed the bridge on their way to Club.
  10. We're off to Silverstone for the FIA GT World Chamionship round 2. Go Team Corvette!
  11. It's a nightmare job! 3 power supplies, all sorts of switching for things to de-activate the cruise control (brake pedal/neutral switch in an auto/clutch in a manual etc) in all it joins into (I think) 23 points in the stock loom. Take a look behind your dash panels around the area of the clock. If you don't have a 26-pin (2-row) green block connector, forget it! I did this on Angies car which didn't have the wiring already in the loom for cruise and did the whole thing with a soldering iron. I wouldn't want to do it again! I only did it because someone on here said it couldn't be installed retrospectively. Next time I'll try to ignore such comments and accept them as close enough to the truth! Oh - and the plug in the pic above is for the cruise control throttle cable actuator. It should be taped up to keep moisture out.
  12. Or if he can FIND the sound system in there! I rather liked the 'Marge Simpson' - 'Born to Cook' sticker in the boot!
  13. All the very best of luck, Col. Hopefully you'll be popping back once or twice a year? Maybe some meets can be arranged... Enjoy! Brian & Angie.
  14. Please don't take this the wrong way, but reading your post, it doesn't sound as if you have a huge amount of mechanical experience. I apreciate you'll want to learn (which is always good) and like all of us on here you have to start somewhere. But are you sure that brakes is the best place to start? The penalty for getting it wrong is a bit more severe than if you didn't for instance, tighten up an intercooler hose correctly. Hope I'm not upsetting anyone by saying this, but I'd hate to hear of anything going wrong....
  15. Aren't you talking about a *JET* car there as oppose to a rocket car?
  16. I guess that says something about how far down the drain Porsche have fallen these days!! (i.e. it's not a high value item - NOT because the Liverpool keeper ownes one!)
  17. I find this sort of thing very disturbing. People that do things like this should be looked at very closely. There was a study of psychotic killers done a few years ago and almost all of them displayed this sort of behaviour when they were kids - torturing and killing defenceless animals. Sometimes their own pets. These sick people just might be the serial killers of tomorrow. Should we be sorting them out now before they might go on to the next level?
  18. I'm afraid this is provisionally sold. I'll keep your name just in case if you like?
  19. Unfortunately I never had it dyno'd. However, I was running it on the same set-up as Ian C (our technical moderator) who owned them before me and I have it on good authority (from Ian) that they put out about 480hp, maybe pushing towards 500 on a good day at 1.4bar with all other parts being the same. What I can say is that it certainly felt like that sort of horsepower!
  20. 550's/resistor pack/E-Manage blue/fields harness/AEM Wideband are all provisionally SOLD. (Didn't even get the chance to put up the separate threads!! I love this forum!) Turbos still for sale, though.
