  1. It'd be nice if the winner got to drive their car over Leepu and his mate! Couple of numpties if you ask me!!
  2. Have a good one, matey! See you at the East Anglian get-together next Sunday.
  3. Too many horses. You can get too much of a good thing.
  4. Use the text in the 'IMG Code' box and it'll link straight to the pic. Like this:
  5. Looking at the interior of that boat reminded me of the movie 'Overboard' with Goldie Hawn and Kirt Russell. You aren't building shoe racks in one of the cabins are you?
  6. Nope - aerotop means it has a targa roof.
  7. In the last couple of years of the factory Supras they ran the V8, didn't they? (I know they ran the 4 cylinder engine prior to that as the per intro sequence of GT4. )
  8. Totally stock, (i.e. with both cats still in etc) my old car (RZ) ran 13.68. Once I'd decatted it and added a fuel cut defender, I managed a 12.87 at TSC2 in Woodbridge about 4 years ago. I never really got around to running my aerotop TT down the same strip when I ran hybrids, so I don't know if they would have given an advantage over the quicker spooling J-Spec twins or not. Angies car ran 13.48 in the same trim, but we never got around to modifying it. She ran low 13's (13.17 I think) in a decatted supra at the 'pod. I always reckon that your 1/4 mile time is made or lost in the first 60ft. You HAVE to get the launch right at the get-go or you might as well abort the run as you're very unlikely to ever make up the time for a bad start..
  9. Tell her to send his request to her in writing.
  10. So? You have a Supe and we aren't eating until 2pm - get yourself up to Norwich for one last get together!
  11. Bl00dy hell, mate! I was in the states when you were going through all that - sorry I missed it. Glad things are sorted now and you have another (better) one. I'd be interested to know the details on the companies who are bringing in write-offs and selling them here. (Feel free to pm me!) Mine is a euro-spec, bought new by the chap I bought it from in Germany. He's the secretary & treasurer of CCCUK, so I figured it would have been difficult for him to conceal any mishaps as all and sundry would have found out about it. (Of course, I HPI'd it just to be sure - after all, it could have been financed or something like that) So far so good anyway - had it almost a year now and it still has a habit of surprising me with how well it handles. Feels like an overgrown go-kart at times! Have you posted any pics of your new 'vette on here?
  12. Tom - I didn't know you'd had a problem with your '04 C5. Glad you got things sorted and weren't put off by such a bad experience.
  13. I know an old farmer that used to live up the road from me who over the course of a couple of years had both knees replaced. He'd got to the point of selling the farm and getting a bungalow etc before having the op done. A year after getting the second knee replaced, he was buying land again and going back into farming. Marvellous difference for him and totally rejuvenated him. I know of at least 3 people who have had similar results. My mum is having a knee replaced in the next few months - hope it does the same for her.
  14. We'll be there. Digsy + Sarah Brian + Angie
  15. Thanks for that - I'm pleased with it myself!
  16. That black one was on the trip to the south of France with Wayney off here. Plenty of pics in his thread about 'All Roads Lead to Gauge....' There's some more pics of it here: CLICK I like the C6, in fact I preferred it before buying my 'vette, but the more I see them at meets and stuff, the more I prefer my C5. (strangely) Still a nice car the C6 though, and you can't argue with that performance!
  17. The C6 Z06 is usually a fairly hefty step up price wise. The one you're looking at looks good, but be careful with this company as others have said. I see it has Bauer Millet mats in the footwell - give them a call and see if they have had any involvement with the car in the past. Bauer Millet in Manchester are an official importer of Corvette and have a good reputation to keep. If you have anything else you think I may be able to help you with, feel free to pm me. Brian.
  18. Ok, I'd better come clean here - it was my wife (Angie) that spotted the fact that it wasn't a Z06 in the first place. DOH! ( Hangs head in shame)
  19. Sorry mate - I wasn't meaning to sound like I was picking you up on that. I thought it was a Z06 too until I looked more closely at the front of the car. I like those Z-wheels too. They're nice when they're chromed.
  20. Some beautiful pics there Wayne! We normally go to that part of the world about this time of year - it's fantastic - everyone should do it at least once in their life. Was the C6 'vette modified in any way? The performance sounds really impressive as because it isn't a Z06 so should be around 400bhp stock. Not that I'd be so surprised though, as my C5 only puts out just over 350bhp and it still surprises me how good that is. We had a play with a Carrera 4S on the autoroute yesterday and destroyed him. We just got back from a France/Germany trip late last night. We spent 5 days around the Black Forest. The roads there are some of the best for driving on that I've ever seen. Long sweeping bends on beautifully smooth tarmac through mile after mile of pine forest. Many of these roads are really wide too which helps as some of it is very high speed stuff. (Often with the long drops off the edge that you talk of too) Then there's the autobahn...... Why did I come home again?? I know it'll involve views containing the 'vette, but I'll post some pics later.
  21. Once a week is little and often enough thanks very much.
  22. Did Millau last year. Be sure to go down into Millau and out into the country along the road that goes under the viaduct. There's a viewing area there too which is open until about 4.30 or something like that. Have fun!
  23. Nasty stuff. (Work safe) Not to mention a very sad story.
