  1. What they fail to mention is that CO2 is not the main greenhouse gas in the atmosphere - nor anywhere near it.
  2. If I recall correctly, he was answering a question put to him directly by RedM about what God said the last time he spoke to him. So he was answering a question, not just coming on here making claims. Now - the reasons behind asking such a question might not have been simply because the person putting it wanted an answer, but I won't go down that path as it would mean that I'd have to make assumptions about that persons motives.
  3. It always amuses me how people who don't believe in God, or Christianity or whatever religion and who often say that 'people can believe what they like as long as they don't try to ram it down MY throat' etc. etc. will go to exhasperating lengths to argue with a believer, usually resorting to ridicule, to try to 'disprove' the existence of God. From where I'm sitting, it looks almost like you're trying to ram atheism down my throat by ridiculing 'AJ's beliefs in a public forum. If Alex truly believes what he believes in, then who am I to hold up his reasoning whilst turning to all of you on this forum and saying words to the effect of 'This is no better than a fairytale/it defies belief/you'd have to be a child to swallow this story as fact' etc etc. Alex obviously feels he has good reason to believe in Christianity. Let him believe it without ridicule.
  4. But surely if the hair was sucking the blood from the brain, the hair would then be red? Are YOU blonde, by any chance?
  5. Nothing inherently wrong with the brakes at all - that's an early GTS - they didn't fit traction control or ABS until about 2002.
  6. Yep - iii And for trading they only charge you £10 pre trade regardless of value. You can open a trading account isa and trade from within it to your hearts content providing you don't put anymore capital into it over the normal threshold each year. That way you can (potentially - with the right trades of course!) make lots more than the normal interest rate. Just thought I'd mention it as it's well worth looking into.
  7. Stop giving it gas when you're trying to start it - it's not a carburetted engine - the EFI system will take care of fuelling it - trying to help it along like that will flood it. Have you looked at your plugs since trying to get it running?
  8. We have some ex-TVR owners on the Corvette boards. Most if not all of them tell stories of service bills regularly well into 4 figures because there's always something that needs fixing/replacing. Annual maintenance spends of around £6k are not uncommon on Cerberas. Most can't believe the world they've come into with the 'vette servicing being less than £200 and no major service required until 100k miles. Generally, I spend less than £125 a service on the C6 and buy a set of tyres every 2 to 3 years as I only do about 7 or 8,000 miles in a year. That's it. So I won't be even looking in the direction of a TVR. (Although I hear they look lovely. )
  9. RLTC only stops complete pulses to the injectors. It can't interrupt the 'current' pulse
  10. Prices (and stock!) are very different today. Did anyone actually make a call to them this morning?
  11. Me too. Saw it run at TOTB a few years back. Very very quick car, but obviously a 'drag only' type of thing.
  12. Not one car photographed on a forecourt. They're all in driveways, on car parks, on the street etc. Very odd. Site hijacked, perhaps?
  13. Thanks for posting the link, Russ. I've always said that if I was in the position to afford it, I'd buy it back if it came up for sale again. Not that I'd sell the C6 Corvette, mind - it's now pretty much my achilles heel in the way the Supe was a couple of years ago. After doing that video, it took us a year before we could bare to sell the Supe - in fact, the C5 Corvette had arrived and left before I put the Supe up for sale. Getting the C6 made it a little easier on us. (But we still get all nostalgic when we watch that video)
  14. Come on Ireland!! Could we get TWO grand slams in a row? I'm hoping so. (but I worry about the French...)
  15. My point was actually that he was cleared of his 'misdemeanours' by a court. To still claim that he committed the offence might be seen as libellous.
  16. I'm not remotely interested in the whole "JT sha66ing someone elses Mrs" thing, but if you're going to accuse Gerrard of an offence for which he has been cleared in Court, at least get it right and refer to him as "Stevie Affray" and not "Stevie GBH".
  17. That's one of the nicest Supras I've seen for a while. It sits just right too. If I was being REALLY fussy, I'd paint the end caps on the wing black - I wouldn't bother doing the whole wing-ends silver; it just goes with the whole black on silver thing as it is. Maybe a different set of alloys, but that's personal taste. Can't believe you've put that together looking like it is for that sort of money - you should be proud of what you've done there, mate.

    Laptop 'help'

Aren't you thinking of one of those low profile racing earwigs? Pot was talking about a rogue earwig - they're not so sleak.
  19. Normally if you take the car into your possession, they won't pay you out until you can prove it's been destroyed by coughing up a certificate of destruction. I managed to get mine back so that I could remove everything I wanted before I had the shell crushed. So I got loads of spares to sell and once I sent them the certificate, I got paid out too. Worked out quite nicely in the end.
  20. Lol. (And by 'LOL', I don't mean that I wear a bowler hat)
  21. Yep - you can bring a car in from N. Ireland without any problems - you can even register it at DVLA with the N. Ireland reg. number which is handy if you want to keep the age of the car to yourself.
  22. I first saw that pic in an email in 2006 that went like this: As I walked down the busy footpath, knowing I was late for an important meeting, my eye fell upon one of those unfortunate, homeless vagabonds that are found in every city these days. Wearing what can only be describes as rags, carrying every worldly possesion in two plastic bags, my heart was touched by this person' s condition. Some people turned to stare. Others quickly looked away as if the sight would somehow contaminate them. Recalling some long ago Sunday School admonition to "care for the sick, feed the hungry and clothe the naked," I was moved by some powerful inner urge to reach out to this unfortunate person. Yes, where some people saw only rags, I saw a hidden beauty. A small voice inside my head called out, "Reach out, reach out!" So I did.......... > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > > My court case has been set for the end of the month .
  23. If my car was suddenly boosting to that level above normal, I'd be checking the hoses on the wastegate vsv. Could be 5 second fix.
  24. I was just thinking about whether we should do anything as a club for this. There is the most unimaginable destruction out there now. They need help like few before them. Donated. Please don't let it be another 13 hours before the next name is added to this list. I'm sure we can all afford at least a tenner without even thinking about it.
