  1. Angie and myself are definately going next year. This year we were camping in Beausejour campsite.(Infield, near Porsche Curves) As we didn't arrive until Friday morning, we were near the back of the campsite, but this worked out well for us. The ground was flatter there (good for the tent) and after 2am it was fairly quiet, so we managed to get a little sleep! There was also a free shuttle bus which took us near the pits. Bus leaves every 15mins. I'm willing to try Houx Annexe, but I need someone to confirm that the ground there is ok for camping in a tent. Some of the "campsites" looked like the tents were just pitched on gravel! Need to book up fairly soon, so if someone can tell me Houx is ok, I'd appreciate it.
  2. OK then. Lunch at the Bird in hand anyone??? Let's make a mini meet out of it.
  3. I see, just one mention of IanC having to race against Angie again and he's off! You big girls' blouse!!! :baa: I'll join you for a drink Darren. Angie will have to race round the test track on her own! Babycham for you then Ian?
  4. DOH!! Just re-read your post and can now see that you want to do something different to what I thought. (Thinking J-SPec) To do what you want shouldn't be too different as you still want to swap between the same two circuits at the same points, albeit that the functionality is slightly different. Pete might still be able to help!
  5. Pete Betts used to sell a little unit to do this. Although he doesn't actually sell it anymore, he still does the diagram for buiding your own. Try emailing him and he'll point you in the right direction.
  6. Is there another light that is on at the same time when the engine is running? One that most don't necessarily spot is the active front spoiler light. If you have the active front spoiler, the green light next to the 'Active On' switch below the stereo will flash on and off when the car is running. Just a thought. Oh, and another thought...a Supra will eat a GT4!!
  7. Anyway, to get back to the original point. It seems even more imprtant now that I need to hear from someone who has fitted ONLY the Eibach springs to their otherwise stock suspension to let me know what the overall effect is. Anyone?
  8. Interior light fuse (apparently) is in the fuse box under the bonnet. Fuse No 11 according to my diagram. Should be labelled as 'DOME' ar something like that. (Too late to go outside and take a look!!)
  9. I know that sinking feeling when it fails on emissions. Mine did that last year. For me it was the Lambda sensor that was dead. You can check the output from the sensor on the diagnostic terminal in the engine bay. (Can't remember how the particular terminal pin is labelled, sure someone will point it out to you shortly!) As you rev the engine you should see the output voltage rise and fall. If it stays at just a fraction of a volt with no variation, then you probably need a new one. I got mine from Chris Wilson (on this board.) for about £70 ish. Easy to fit too. You can find the sensor screwed into the downpipe between the manifold and the first Cat. Hope this helps.
  10. Cheers Mark. (Oh yeah, and thanks alot Justiin...most helpful! LOL!) Ok, so where can I get a Whiteline kit for £700 ish? Also, are there any pics of cars with Eibachs fitted as they are the cheaper alternative which could be a good interim measure. Thanks.
  11. Thanks for that mate. Also, how highly do you rate them? Much of an improvement on the stock springs?
  12. If anyone has 'before and after' pics of their Supra with/without lowering springs, could you email them to me or point me to them. I'm thinking of buying the Eibach lowering springs, but the last one I saw that had them fitted, seemed to sit higher at the front than at the back. Personally I think the car should sit at least level, or with the nose lower than the tail. Unsure whether to go for these or for a set of ride height adjustable coil-overs. (Much more expensive I know, and would be a more satisfactory solution to the problem, but I'd like to save a little cash for now if poss!) Cheers.
  13. Cheers for that Nathan. I called the importers today and enquired about the wheels myself today, only to be told that they don't make them for the Supe at all!! Now I'm totally confused! Help, Ibrar!!
  14. Does anyone know if the US Supras have the same spec brakes as the UK spec ones? Just been speaking to a company in the States re wheels that fit over US Brakes. Want to know if they'll fit my UK ones.
  15. The floating flange thing sounds plausible. Can't even find anything on line though. Cheers anyway, Phil.
  16. My guess is that it's called a wobbly bolt because somehow it's mounted eccentrically, so that as it turns it 'wobbles'. In some way or another they get it to go into the hub so that the end is in line with the bolt-holes in the wheel. I just wanted someone who knows of this type of thing to tell me if it's a satisfactory sort of thing to be doing. If so I can have the wheels in a couple of days. Otherwise it'll be at least a couple of weeks.
  17. OK this is the story. I'm about to buy a new set of OZ Superleggera III wheels. Apparently, OZ can supply the size I require, but the stud pattern is Mercedes fitment which they machine slightly to fit the Supe. They have suggested, as an alternative to machining the holes, supplying something known as a 'wobbly bolt'. I assume this is some type of eccentric set-up to allow the bolts to exactly match the wheel holes. I'm unsure about this as I have never heard of it before, but I am assured it is completely safe. Anyone here know anything about this?
  18. And beaten by a woman....not only that, but a BLONDE woman!! :p
  19. Caption, Pic 1: Matt: Now look, Alex, if you don't give yourself a kick up the @rse and use that throttle, you'll be standing on your own like 'Billy no-mates' behind me.....ok??? Alex: OK Mr Harwood, Boss. But I did my best....honest! (Sniff!)
  20. Well done Matt. It seems strange that on a surface where traction was at a premium, someone said that RLTC might not have been a good idea. Angie had a good run at the start of the day hitting the 1/4 mile in 13.244 secs at 111.8mph. The car is a J-Spec TT. The only mod other than RLTC is a full de-cat. (Yes, Dom....the bit*h did it again!!! At least Matt beat her this time!) Her full timing sheet as follows: 60ft 2.396secs 330ft 5.977secs 1/8mile [email protected] 3/16 11.154secs 1/4 [email protected] My best was 13.564:( :( It seemed that RLTC was invaluable today.
  21. Oh...and Angie is going to punch your teeth down your throat next time she sees you! It's all over something you said about 'Blonde' and 'intelligence'???
  22. Csn I tell everyone the story about the window lock out button now Alex? Pleeeeaasee!!!! I think it follows on nicely at this point!
