  1. to discover that we're too late to get our pics into the calendar voting! DOH!! And after all this effort. Maybe next year then, Rosie? Here are some pics: On the road to the Col de Galibier On top of the Col de Galibier. (alt: 2500m+) Note the glacier on top of the mountain in the background. On the road to Monte Carlo Monte Carlo Harbour "The Tunnel" in Monte Carlo under the Grand Hotel Amazing place to take the Supra. We were surprised just how much attention it attracted. More than Ferraris and the like. Every time we stopped, people were coming over to take pics! Met up with lots of great people on the road and at places we stayed. Bumped into a group from Pistonheads in the Alps. Then on Saturday night in Monte Carlo, the Super Car Rally 2004 was in town. (A bit like Gumball but with class!!) We are now planning our next trip there maybe next year. I'll post some more pics later of the supercars.
  2. DPA relates to PERSONAL data and how it is kept. A pic of your car doesn't constitute personal data. HOWEVER, if someone gets this pic. and doesn't examine it correctly, but just assumes that because it took a picture, you must've been speeding, and then incorrectly issues you with an offer of a fixed penalty notice or 'go to court', opt to go to court, ask for a copy of the pic (Refer to it as 'advance disclosure' of evidence, they should send you it.) and then let a local rag know about it. If it goes to court, get a journalist to be there to see it thrown out. Could be entertaining!!
  3. Won't do the looks of the car any harm, though...
  4. The chassis number on teh plate should tie up with the one stamped into the bulkhead. You'll find it on the drivers side of the firewall in the engine bay. It's quite high up and should be easy enough to read. Obviously should show no signs of having been tampered with.
  5. Nooooo!!! I had my GZ Aerotop resprayed black earlier this year. I also had the UK bonnet scoop fitted at the time of the re-spray. And guess what.....I too have a Stillen front bumper! And I thought it would be different....DOH! Yours isn't an aerotop too is it?
  6. Closer to the mark than you might think Dibbs!!!
  7. If the plug is there you should be able to find it by removing the drivers side headlamp. It is attached to a vertical bracket near the radiator from what I remember. HTH
  8. Darren, I'll take a look in my famous 'entrails' box to see if I have the plug and any relevant wiring you could use.
  9. The other place to check is the block connector behind the drivers side kick panel. It's a large blue one and is easy to find. The kick panel should pop off with the plastic cover that goes along the length of the sill. Not even a screwdriver required for that one! Hope you sort it mate.
  10. I have an original 1993 advert for the Supra from the US. It claimed 0 to 60 in 5.7secs. But then the 5.9 figure we usually see is for 0 to 62.5mph. (100kph) Could account for a couple of tenths I s'pose. I normally see 5.1 for the auto. But then you can get good launches more frequently in an auto!
  11. Be sure when you back up the back end that you put an axle stand under the 'unsprung' part of the hub carrier assembly and then drop the car slightly to allow the whole hub carrier to return to it's normal position rather than having it all hanging down with the suspension at full extension. Without doing this it can sometimes cause the handbrake cable to pull slightly and give the impression of there being more of a fault than there really is.
  12. Angie and I are off to France at the end of September. A new ferry company started up earlier this year called Speed Ferries. Website here They have based their business model on Easyjet, so the earlier you book the cheaper it is. We got the car and up to 4 passengers for £50 RETURN!!! (Yes, return...that's £25 each way - bargain!) Cost me £165 to go from Newhaven to Dieppe in the summer when travelling to Le Mans. DOH!! Anyway, Speed Ferries go from Dover to Bologne and it's only a 50min crossing. (Not much longer than the Tunnel!)
  13. Fancyplates is where I got mine too. They even do custom sizes. I just specified the size of plate I wanted in mm and they did it for me. Excellent stuff!
  14. Yup. 1. Heckler 2. MR.B (Dark Pencil) 3. Darren Blake 4. V 5. Secondjump 6. Soop Dogg 7. Angie
  15. Looks like Ebay have removed this item now.
  16. The other thing is that even when they DO get caught taken to court AND found guilty, the courts virtually let them off! They either get no fine at all or they get to pay 50p a week for the rest of their natural. Sometimes community service or a conditional discharge. Pathetic! :flame Dev
  17. Does anyone else agree that Mobil1 should be in a Supra engine? I have had bad experiences of it in the Supe and I have heard stories of it getting past various seals including the crank seal and cam seals. (GULP!) From what I haev heard, Mobil1 being a 0 weight oil, is too thin for the temps that our engines work at. Any comments?
  18. Finding the buttons under the foam at the 'shoulders' of the seat is the trick. But when you manage to locate them, they're easy to remove. Cutting the notches takes about 2 minutes with an angle grinder! Just be careful not to cut too deep though.....
  19. Thanks everybody for a great afternoon. Most entertaining watching Angie and Supragal dancing around every time a wasp flew by!! Great BBQ on Saturday night too Darren. Thanks mate. See you all next time!

How can we agree/disagree with a QUESTION???? You came on here and asked a question of what people thought your car was worth. People gave answers. You didn't like said answers. You got up the ar$e with anyone who thought your car wasn't worth what you thought it was worth. You practically offered IanC a fight. (Not the first time you've made these sort of offers in the last few days, eh, Paul?) You're 6'3". IanC is 6'7". You should get back in your box before you upset the wrong person. I reckon your car is worth maybe 12k tops. Less if the buyer knows the things you've done to it. (Like the fact you ever went near it with a spanner!) Nuff said.
