  1. Can I get my car in your one too then?? lol!! :D
  2. Aww thanks Rosie!! Your a http://www.myemoticons.com/emoticons/images/star_emoticon.gif !!!! Got higher res copies that might be useable for next year.
  3. Needs to be got up on a ramp to check things like the U/J's on the prop shaft and all the bushes around the rear subframe/suspension. I'd check all of these first before writing off the diff. The diff,bu the way Good luck with it and keep us up to date with how it goes.
  4. I have similar ones to Mawby. This is another angle to show this dish:
  5. Personally I agree with the comments about waiting for a better one. All the info you have given about it being scruffy etc. and the core plug thing don't sound like the owner has cared much. Sounds old fashioned, but on a car like the Supe, if someone can't be trusted to put decent tyres on it,I wouldn't trust them to put the right oil in the sump. Walk away. There'll be others. You might just be buying someone elses heap of trouble! That could end up costing you in the long run.
  6. When Angie and myself are out in the Supes together, (both black), that really gets peoples attention! :D
  7. What, you mean like this guy in Monte Carlo..... (Discalimer: sorry to REPOST this pic, but i like it, so tough luck)
  8. Regarding this other chargeable work, i.e. the cams. What did the original receipt for £360 say the bill was for? IF it only itemised the mapping work and tax as totalling £360 then it would certainly be unfair for the trader to retrospectively apportion some of that amount to the mechanical work of tightening up the cams. Having said that, I haven't seen the receipt which may well have been worded differently or in a less specific manner. Regardless, it would appear that the trader is trying to blow smoke in our faces by turning the attention to the mechanical work. As Dude says, the £100 is not needed by CJ. To bring the conversation back to the original point, CJ expected the e-mamage to be correctly mapped by a reputable company who, it would appear, have failed in this task. None of us begrudge spending money on these cars, but we all expect to get some sort of value for what we do spend. The real question is 'Why were they unable to map the unit something close to correctly first time around?' It is now up to this company to review their standards and perhaps dig a little deeper where the fine detail of the e-manage is concerned in order that they may keep the great reputation they have worked so hard to attain. It can be easy to become complacent, but when that happens, trouble usually follows. Just swallow it and keep your good name. You probably don't need the £100 either. Hope you get it sorted CJ.
  9. Your solicitor may well get the details from the Police, but you might not. If you are in any way unhappy with the service provided by the Police, you must follow the complaints procedure provided for you. Go to the Headquarters of the force concerned and ask to speak to the duty Inspector. Make an official complaint via him. If, after an investigation, you still get no joy, you can still take it further. I'll have to look that one up though. Good luck. HTH

    manual vs auto

Sorry, Charlie, but where did you get these numbers from??? 4.9 secs manual 5.1 Auto These are the figures I have seen for years now for 0-100km/h. I make that 2/10sec, not a second. Just had to point that out. Oooh, and the fact that my stock (Other than de-cat) auto used to run 12.8 quarters. Try racing Angie sometime to see how the Auto goes! We've ALL lost to her at some time or another!
  11. My UK wheels do. In fact, I just fitted them yesterday as I took off my good wheels. I have UK brakes. I'm using the UK wheels as winter wheels.
  12. No Rosie, you'll always be UNbelievable!!

    Headrests!

But you can remove them! If you can do this much, you can cut a couple of notches in the steel rods that run from the headrest into the top of the seat to make them adjustable.
  14. Just got an email from this lot. Content as follows: Hello Everyone! Hope you are well. Good news on the Fair Fuel Tax front, we are gathering members quicker than ever.....but we always need more! Bad news I am afraid on the UK fuel front, prices are on the up.....crude oil prices are at an all time high and there is a 3 - 4 week delay until those rises affect forecourt pump prices. Sadly we expect forecourt prices to break 90p per litre by the end of October. All the lastest news is there at http://www.fairfueltax.co.uk go and have a read for yourself. Anyway, now the bit where we ask you to help us! Please can you send the site link or this email on to everyone you know as we need more subscribers. More subscribers is more power for all of us to get what we want....cheaper fuel! If you or your company can help us with any publicity \ website links etc. it would be greatfully received! Any PR gurus out there? Cheers, and thanks for your support. The Fair Fuel Tax Team. Register at http://www.fairfueltax.co.uk - Help reduce the cost of fuel in the UK!
  15. Sad indeed. He was always so upbeat about his life and I found he had a gift of being able to express himself in a way that put things into perspective. We all can get so down about things which are at the end of the day trivial in comparison to the troubles he faced everyday, taking them on the chin with gritty determination that they wouldn't beat him. God bless you mate.
  16. I was using Community Webshots, but I guess the albums are only available to those within the community. I created an album in Photobucket and linked to that instead.
  17. I don't know WHAT you mean, Digsy!! Yes, Ian. Railway Tavern Sunday sounds great to me. Alex and Digs, you up for it too? Great to hear you're making progress with the misfire, Ian. Erm, did you per chance discover the delimiter thing on a local test track/rolling road? Thanks for the feedback on the pics everyone. We aim to please!! (Angie just added "Expecially on Sundays"! I'll let you guys figure that one out...)
  18. Yeah they did get rather hot. At one time we stopped and quickly got underway again when we noticed a bit of a smell of hot brake pads! L'Alp d'Huez was just unreasonably steep! I like the new sig, Alex. Any luck in finding a new horse to get back onto?
  19. Cheers mate, but the voting has been running for over a week and it might be a bit tricky. Got about 300 pics to put on my computer now!
  20. LOL!! Erm....yeah. Yeah, that's how it went! We had a great time. I couldn't get Angie out of the drivers seat in Monte Carlo! I was wandering around various parts of the F1 circuit taking pics of her just swanning around grabbing the attention. The Alps were fantastic, if a little un-nerving at times on the hairpins having the odd 'challenge' from the French drivers! THey are insane on those roads! We were treated brilliantly by the French, they were more than helpful and, of course, they loved the car! Everywhere we stayed they were taking pics. France......it's great for the ego!
  21. Cheers, Mark. Using Photobucket now.....any good???
  22. Can you see them now? They did work, then they didn't . I can see them on my computer again now!
