  1. that link gives me a 404 error.....
  2. Auto Art do a really nice one. It even has the space saver spare wheel and tool kit in the back. Also has a retractable active front spoiler! I'll see if I can find a site where you can buy one. I got mine from a company in the States called EWA. IanC got his over here for just over £40. It is also 1/18 scale which is actually very common for the good quality models.
  3. Excellent post Ian. This will be of use to many, many people on the BBS. Good Man!! (Have I seen that engine before somewhere....?)
  4. N/A....TT....Auto.....Manual????
  5. keep it simple to start with. Check the EFC1 &2 fuses in the engine bay fuse box. They are both 30amp (green usually) and should be labelled inside the lid. Hope this helps.
  6. The TRL "circuit" talked about earlier in this thread is only a couple of regular automotive relays! I did this to my car over a year ago. Sat down with the diagram and a mug of coffee and knocked it up in about 1/2 an hour. Not too difficult.
  7. I swear by Optimax I'm afraid. The change is more noticeable the other way, i.e. when you have run on regular unleaded for a while and then change back to Optimax. Try running on Tesco for a week until you are used to how the car performs. Make sure the tank is low and then fill her up with Optimax. Then tell me you didn't notice any difference. The results can be heard when you drive it hard. Under full boost they pink like a b@stard on ordinary unleaded. I've had 3 TT's all behave the same! I only EVER use Optimax now.
  8. I would have expected to see a solenoid rather than a motor to operate the central locking. Shouldn't there be one in each door? Have't looked carefully myself. I'll take a look tonight on one of the three spare doors I have in my garage!!!

    I am New

Welcome to the site. Glad you like it. These guys (and girl) do a good job!
  10. Nice car mate. Welcome aboard! Hope to see you at future meets.
  11. Could be the starter solenoid contacts. Over time they end up getting a bit burnt. Don't know about the supra one, but I have take nothers apart and cleaned the contacts up with a wire brush and they've been fine when reassembled. This would give a single and fairly posutive sounding 'CLICK' if it is the problem. When the battery is failing, the solenoid usually fails to stay energised and you get a weaker sounding series of clicks until the battery goes way down hill to just a single click.
  12. How much crap do I hang onto that 'might come in handy one day'???
  13. Right, here we are, Chris. (Excuse all the crap in the shed at the back of my garage!!) This one is from the other side of the glovebox. (If you can imagine that!) The part you want is the blue box with the orange connector. As you can see, it is just by the air vent nearest the passenger door. It's pretty much in line with the top of the lower glovebox. This is another angle of the same part in situ on the back of the dash: They can also come in various assorted colours. Here's one (removed) in a nice shade of red! Hope this helps. Brian.
  14. Only just spotted this thread. And there I was thinking "I bet it's the central locking ECU on the passenger side behind the dash." I have seen one of these and I think I might even have 2 of them lying around in my garage. I'll take a pic later tonight and hopefully get it posted for you to see. I may even have one still in situ on the back of a removed dashboard I have in the shed. From memory, it is almost up against the left side wall above the passenger footwell, alongside the glovebox. But it is attached to the back of the dashboard material, the big bit that goes the width of the car that the glovebox sits in. The Power steering ecu is in the same area I think.

    Pet Hates

People who brag and go on and on about what they've got and expect everyone to be jealous. We don't give a sh*t!!! Rudeness. Manners cost feck all. People who say "Is that a Celica?" :flame Dev The alarm clock going off when I thought it was still 4am. Inconsistent rules, you know, one rule for us and another for them. Like 'Two Jags' Prescott telling his driver to get him to a meeting at 100mph and no-one gets done. Accelerated promotion schemes for graduates with no brains. People who spell my name 'Brain'. The space bar on mykeyboard because it onlyworks intermittently and this is the onlypart of this post that I haven't botheredto correct! People who criticise and have no reason to do so.
  16. You look like you've got the same wooden flooring as I have in my lounge!!
  17. It's the button you use to lock it normally. You have to press it twice within 2 secs. Used to have one of these on an aerotop and had to do this everytime we left the car with the roof off. But it may not be the interior sensors. If it still goes off when you try this, then it'll have to be something else. Check the plungers under the bonnet etc. too. After that get in touch with Matt Harwood. Good luck!

    I'm Back!!!

Welcome back Alex. Nice car! Doesn't seem to be any marks on it either when you see it in the flesh. Although, I have to say, I think you still have a thing for the colour of your old car, cos this one's closer to being brown at the moment! lol!! Get it bl00dy washed, it's a nice colour!! :D
  19. Have a word with IanC. He damaged an outer rim (The centre part of his split rim was fine) and had Image Wheels near Birmingham make him a new one, despite tha fact that they weren't actually a set of Image Wheels in the first place. HTH

  21. That didn't bother you when it came to Baabara!!!
