  1. Agreed Jake. Txt spk is soooooo last year!!! (Not to mention soooo Nova!!) So, what I want to know is if Suprabitch goes, will her shadow go too? No prizes for guessing who I'm talking about...it's strictly for fun!!
  2. How come I can't edit out all the mistakes in my last post???
  3. Don'tworry about it mate.I didn't think of you rcomment as bein racist at all!
  4. No offence because I've never met you but you sound a bit rude....... lol
  5. They're working for me, but as they're in Quicktime they take a while to start after saying 'Done'.
  6. Would probably still be in my old Corvette. If I had a bit more money I would be in a Viper GTS.
  7. Between 1984 and 1987 I was in the RAF. I served an apprenticeship for those 3 years and the other lads on the course kind of became my family. For me this was probably more true than for others as I didn't grow up on the UK mainland and had left my family to 'join up'. At weekends, when I couldn't go home, I would sometimes stay at a mates house, and we'd go out clubbing Saturday nights and generally having a laugh. Anyway, I ended up leaving in '87. My best mate, Andy Collins kept in touch for a while, but with various moves, we lost touch with each other. One day while in the Nottingham area in about 1994, I called into his parents house to see if I could contact him. As it turned out, he was living in Saudi, working for an electronics company. He was coming home later that week to visit. I went up the next week to meet him and we had a chat about old times, and had a beer or two. Over the next couple of years, he moved on and we lost contact again. Since 2000 ish I have tried to track him down again, to meet him again and to try to organise a reunion of all the lads. I hadn't had any joy until Wednesday this week when I finally found his name on Friends Reunited. (I had checked here before but without any joy) So there I was reading about how he had learned to dive whilst living in Saudi and had then moved to the Cayman Islands to work as a diving instructor when the text changed direction. It stated that it was being written by his sister as he had gone on a dive in December 2001 with a group of novice divers. He had entered the water ahead of them and simply disappeared never to be seen again. That's it. He's been gone for 3 years now, leaving his wife of only 2 years. And here I have been thinking I'll get in touch via his parents the next time I'm passing that way. 3 years and I never knew. Gutted. The message is just to never put off until tomorrow, contacting that friend you haven't spoken to for ages. Keep trying to contact them. You never know when it's too late. Brian.
  8. Happy New Year all!! (Only an hour late!!)
  9. Yep. Frog. Hated the sound 3 years ago. Hate it now.
  10. Thanks everyone! Had a great night out with Angie, IanC, Digsy and Alex. How come it only seems like yesterday that I was about 21?? Then you wake up one morning and you're pushing 40....how the hell did that happen?? Anyway, next year is the big 4-0,so I'm hoping to be off to New York over my birthday and the New Year with friends. I really should be trying to forget birthdays these days!!
  11. Very cool indeed! Have you checked out the 'Real Picture or Gameplay' feature in the Environment Section? Not too difficult (got 18/20) but when you look at the direct comparison pictures of the same scene, it really is very impressive! Roll on the release!
  12. That's about 25mph in top isn't it? (runs to find some cover....)
  13. We had a party! (See edited post above for list of participants.) Off to bed now. Santa's on his way! Night night!
  14. Anyone else still up?? We're all pi$$ed!! That's me, Angie, IanC and Digsy. ALex wasdriving so he had to be sensible....BAD LUCK MATE!! HAPPY CHRISTMAS!!!! Gawd bless us, every one!!
  15. Yeah, I did try to cover my arse with teh 'probably' bit! Wasn't 100% sure, so thanks for clearing that up Jake. End result for "Mr. no MOT" could still be years of paying for it though! Cheaper to hire something for a few days...
  16. Yep. This is just clarifying the situation as it has always been. It's nothing new I'm afraid. Speed limits apply all the time, not just when a Police officer is about to nab you. We all know the limits and if we decide to go beyond it, we realise as (ir)responsible adults (!) what punishment we stand to receive if caught. I speed on a fairly regular basis in 60 and 70 mph limits, and if I get caught for it I don't really think I have anything to moan about. Not nice if I do get caught, but I can't really argue if and when it happens.
  17. There is NO 7 day rule as stated before. It is true that the punishment is USUALLY very lenient. I have also heard the question asked 'Will your INSURANCE be valid without an MOT?' Almost all insurance companies. if approached by the Police when they have stopped someone who hasn't got an MOT, will say that 'If a claim were to have been made, they would have come down on the side of the insured'. However, this is fine providing you haven't actually had to make a claim as a result of an incident while driving with no MOT, but if you WERE to have an accident, I have actually seen people left out to dry by the insurance compeny with regard to the damage to their own vehicle. They did pay out the 3rd party costs, but refused to indemnify the insured for their own loss. However, they would probably have been within their rights to refuse to pay out ANY of the losses, including to the 3rd party! This could see you paying for the rest of your natural! You pays your money, you takes your choice! Personally I don't think it is worth the risk...
  18. I daren't say who's got one but those who know me will know who I mean. Audi A6 - I like/have to shave my hairy arse. hahahahahahaha!!!!
  19. Surely it's the people who pay him money for virtual homes that are even sadder. At least he can make cash out of it. That was his objective. Virtual or real, this "property" is likely to make him money. That ain't so sad!
  20. Sounds like competition time!! Who can find the MOST OTT Christmas Lights in the UK??
  21. Not to be out done, another Stillen nose in black with UK scoop and number plate:
  22. Not another black Supe with a Stillen nose!!!!!! I put mine on to be different! Seriously though, at least you guys walked away, could've been alot worse. Good ol' car looked after its' occupants. Supras are good at that! Paint and metal can be fixed. Look forward to seeing it back on the road next year.
  23. I think he may have been joking as he's "in the know"?? But yes you're right, there's not a fixed minimum. If someone has no money, there's no point in giving them big fines as they'll pay 50p a week for the next 20 years! Fines are always based on your means. But FFS, why not put him away for a month or two? If only to protect the public from him!
