4 Wheels is what you need definately, even though i am 36 and class myself an experienced driver, it's so easy to lose control of RWD when it isn't bone dry. Wasn't even racing the STI he was trying to drive me off the road and up my backside, so put my foot on the gass to turn right and hey presto - game over.......not even a rush of blood to the head, but merely to get out of a situation!

Lost mine in the wet once it goes it goes and no amount of skill will save you........just have to be sensible ALL the time.

I did go for a TT Supra, but there isnt much in it between NA and TT. THAT WAS A JOKE RIGHT - IF NOT YOUR TURBOS CAN'T WORK!!

Yes but it's a UK and these hold a good premium, even in current climate to European buyers, so yes would say value is easily between £5-6k. You can get hold of J-Specs for silly money, but i always wanted a UK Spec....... better IMO

John Grose Accident repair Hard work - but got there in the end - how hard can it be!?

Had accident 2 months ago which was my fault. Insurance Company (Budget - Fortis) tried to write my UK 93TT Auto off with only £3k worth of damage (These were Toyota part prices with Labour). They offered me £2k pay off and I went beserk. Send letter and usual evidence of other similar Supra's (Hard to find same examples!!) so they could see what my car was worth - I said £7k, although i would of taken between £5-6k). In short I said i would report to FSA etc and then they agreed to repair. Funny part is that after work started they found suspension damage and the repair bill came to £6k in the end!!!!! Apparently the garage paid £1,600 for an undertray fromToyota!!! That will teach the Insurance Co to try and take the biscuit as they have probably lost more now than actually offering a decent payout to write it off. I had a courtesy car for over a month as well and it all adds up. Basically to anyone having trouble with their Insurance Co with payouts/repairs - keep the pressure up, it makes it worth while in the end. The result is another UK TT remains on the roads and she has been repaired to a very good stanard and am well happy!! Kind Regards Steve

Went to Jet Tyres in Canvey - always very good prices. Just going to get Alloys refurbished now. Seen a few places that do 17inch for around £200 all in.....

I got offered £2k UK 1993 TT So be prepared to be offered about £1k! I ended up threatening FSA action and they repaired my car in the end at a total cost of £6k!!!!!!!!

Also seen a place called #topgear# in Great Dunmow, looks like a good selection. Would F 235/40/18 and R 265/35/18 fit on UK TT ?

Anyone recommend any places in and around the Essex area? Rochford Tyres look pretty good. Looking online, but would prefer to be able to take a good look around a warehouse/large specialist outlet. Anyone got any recommendations, also from other posts see that 18 inch seems best for handling etc (well apart from standard 17's). What about size tyres - stick to standard 235/45/ and 255/40/ or perhaps bigger rubber? Budget around £1k + Thanks Kind Regards Steve

Yes I had them too and have been on meds for around 10 years now. It's like hell on earth when it first started - thought i was dying most of the time! Used to get it driving through Dartford Tunnel - meds usually control it and now at 36 i am pretty much ok! One thing not to do, which i did was take up drinking to cope with it!!! That created a whole new load of problems!!

Does the Jap Spec Brake Light (on boot lid under spoiler) fit a UK Spec (93 Plate)? The UK TT i have has (i believe) a dummy light (as i believe the UK only have the LED's fitted from 95 onwards) , but the J Spec has light and LED's - if i were to buy J Spec could i get it fitted to a UK TT? Thanks Steve

No Diesel needed for me. The Supra being no spring chicken, requires a bit more respect than a Scooby, which has management and 4 wheel drive to keep you on the road. Put it this way, when it goes, it goes and no amount of skill will keep you on the road. Won't do it again and to be honest was suprised i did it this time. Rush of blood and trying to be berty big b....x and failed, wouln't have minded if it had been a Evo or GTR behind me but a Chav waggon of all cars - sure he was straight on the net to tell the tale!

Lost mine on a roundabout with Traction control off in the wet - put it this way the gut in the Subura STi was p ...ssing himself laughing!

Was looking at the UK 94 TT on there last week, but he's since put it up from £6995 to £7995!!! Was going to have a look, but my car is being repaired now.
