Hi Soop Buddies, Sold the Soop to a chap called Rob who is a newbie in the club, nice chap, he will no doubt introduce himself soon. I had three people after the Soop and Rob came in with a good offer and the whole deal was done very quickly. I will now be listing loads of Soop parts I have collected over the past six years. Cheers Phil -

Boo Hooooo:cry::cry: Yesterday was one of the worst days of my life, I stood and watched my soop drive off with its new owner:(:( It felt as if I had lost someone very close to me, hit the wine last night to try and make things feel better, feeling kinda numb now. Will sort out my pile of soop bits and put them in the parts for sale. I will now pass into the retired section and go with the elves into the West. Feeling very sorry for himself:( Phil -

Hi All, Im sitting here crying into my wine, not because Ive sold the Soop but that I sold her (within a couple of days on pistonheads) and then the chap who bought her has backed out because he couldnt get the finance, evidently he has seen quite a few Soops over the past year and mine was just what he was looking for but....................No cash to buy. Anyway Jake - Thanks for the kind words my photos are sh1t and yes it is a TVR colour that has a lightish blue base with gold over the top, so when light hit the paint it flips to gold, like a summer sky with golden rays, just the way I like it. mr keef - Your right, the photos are sh1t, my son has taken some more with a proper camera and I will substitute ASAP. nutter - Yep she is the dogs, I dont want to sell really but with my daughter getting married and the property business going bad Ive got to. Anees - I would like to say you could get two adults in the back and it has been done but leg room???? def not. TyranoSupraRex - Yep and that been done! Suprash - Hollo mate, as it says above selling is sh1t, it was bad enough selling the soop the first time, I felt like I was selling a member of the family and now to be told "sorry no cash" what can I say. Anyway thans for your good wishes Im off to open another bottle of wine. Cheers soop pals Phil -

Hi Buddies, Soop selling seems a bit slow, so far had one silly offer and got another viewing this week. Come on SupraGirlie come and have a look the tt aero is rare and this is very low milage, I searched the internet to get an idea of how much to ask and couldnt find one for sale. Geneb give me a ring when you get back from hols, I will email you my contact details. BEERSHZ it took a long time to choose the colour, I wanted a colour like the sky on a summers day and the gold flip is just like the suns rays and I do like the sun. Paul me old bud havnt heard from you in a while, thought you didnt love me any more. Ive put my beauty on pistonheads now but would love to sell her to someone from the forum. Phil -
I’ve sat at the keyboard a number of times recently hesitating writing this. I’ve driven quite a few cars in my many years and without a doubt my Aerotop is the best, with the roof off and the sun shinning, it’s just perfect listening to the roar as I put my foot down passing under bridges and through tunnels and listen to all the admiring remarks when I’m stopped by traffic lights. I will probably regret selling her for the rest of my life but with my daughter getting married and business getting tighter the soop has to go. I have owned this car for nearly six years now. Initially I bought the soop as a mid-life-crisis need to own a fast car for a few months. Then the bug struck and I met Dude from ‘Katana paint and body’ and Paul E then ‘Miami GT’; they showed me how to bling the soop and make it go faster. Anyway enough of the history and stuff, as it says she is a 1993 Twin Turbo Aerotop. I am the first UK owner, she was imported in 2002 but not registered until 2003 as she was being transformed from a bog standard silver version to what you can see in my garage pics. She is always kept garaged when not on the road. She has covered 32158 miles GENUINE MILES with receipts and past MOT’s and has just been MOT’d and the tax is until 31/10/08. She has also just had a service which was done at Toyoda Tech who are a much respected local specialist near Fareham. Improvements can be seen together with a few pictures in my garage, I can email more photos if required. Additional bits: Fully wax undersealed, TRL fog light conversion, TRL speedo converter de limiter. THE NUMBER PLATE IS NOT INCLUDED Bad points You will see a grown man cry when you come to pick her up. She may benefit from setting up on a rolling road but I can‘t see how because she runs so well. I am located near Southampton for anybody who is serious and wants to come and have a look. I am looking for sensible offers before I put her on eBay with a buy it now at £12,500 and the reserve probably a couple a grand less. Feel free to ask me any questions on 07785 777788. Thanks for looking.

matt - wish I had chance to give it a bit of a caning but just the acceleration run from the slip road onto the motorway showed the problem:( , so no big grin that day. Got a boost controller, no, and as I understand it, they are mainly used for raising boost levels and are limited in there capability of reducing boost levels, Ive got a boost gauge which hasnt been above 1.1 even with Dude at the wheel. Cheers Phil

Phil - Hi m8, yep certainly was fine bofore, only got it serviced because Im slightly excessive about these things only done about 1k miles since last service. As anyone who saw my engine bay at Santa Pod knows it was all very clean and dry. I will probably do as you suggest and whip the under cover off and have a clean and see what I can see, only prob is Im away for a few days so it wont be until next week. As for crank oil seal premature failure - always a possibility but strange on the day I pick it up from a service. The service included - Fuel filter, Drain plug, Oil filter, Vent hoses, Engine oil, screen wash. Jake - only caught you at the last moment I was chatting with my son, gave a wave but it must have been to late, your supe is looking fine too and I do like those wheels. Cheers Phil

Sakura - I'm waiting for the chappy to get back to me with what to do next now the AA can do no more, I hope he comes back with a good positive action to resolve the situation, yes the engine bay didn't have a drip of oil in it before the service. Ill certainly pm you after Ive heard from the chappy. Jake - Exactly my question, made even more of a puzzle as Dude replaced the crank seal last year without a sign of oil since. By the way m8 was that you in Chandlers Ford the other day. DB - I think it seems to be a dynamic leak, at first a load of oil collected under the car and then it slowed and seems to have stopped, I dont think it can be the crank seal as that was replaced and Ive only done a max of about 1k miles since with no show of oil. Thanks for the replies buddies Cheers Phil

Update AA man says it doesn't look like its a loose filter cos that dry, he also said it doesn't look like the drain plug though he couldn't be sure, he says it looks like it coming from the front underside of the engine but cant see because of the engine under cover and the amount of oil that's all over the place. So he says sorry there's nothing the AA can do at the roadside to sort the situation, so I said can they relay the supe to the chappy who serviced it - no he says, because I've made it back home (eg less than .25 of a mile from my home) they will only take it to a repairer of their choice unless I can nominate one closer. Anyway the AA man says you will need a special truck to pick this up with (it being quite low) and the AA don't have trucks like that. Now I'm quite a cool sort but I'm starting to feel just the beginnings of being pi55ed off, I then spoke with the chappy who serviced my supe who said try the AA again, I phone the AA and guess what .......there's nothing they can do except take it to a garage of there choice etc, etc, etc. To cool down a bit I went and washed the supe to cleaned the back end of the 5h1ty oil coating gracing the lovely paintwork. Well after that phoned the chappy again and left a message with the excellent news. Update to follow Sakura - thanks for the kind thoughts m8. matt - AA man couldn't see were it was leaking, it was the yellow low level warning light that was on. DB - No red light so hopefully no damage, thanks for the reassurance. Cheers Phil
