  1. Looking for a replacement aircon compressor for the Supe (6 speed uk spec if that makes a difference).
  2. its not all about the power now is it, its about how the power is transferred to the tarmac. perhaps some of these "supercars" have a thing or two over the supra after all - not to mention I am assuming they are a lot newer than the 20yr old designed supra. With an unlimited budget you could buy or develop the same technology (electronic stability control etc) that they have and you could keep testing and tweeking the car to continually improve it. The reason why supercars keep getting better is that they throw truckloads of money into development and testing.
  3. Really there is no such thing as the perfect spec or setup. Technology is always changing so todays cutting edge will probably be improved in the following months or years. Lets face it, if you could afford it, wouldnt you keep trying to upgrade your car? If you won the lottery tomorrow, wouldnt you spend a chunk of it trying to create the ultimate car?. Unfortunately most of us are on a budget. Some of us have more, some have less. But we all try to get the most of what we have. Fortunately we are all starting from a great base as even the standard car is a match for most modern cars this side of 50k. Spend a few thousand and you will match anything up to 100k! There is no right and no wrong. Everyone has a budget and everyone has a preferred driving style. All I know is we have a great car wether it be a streetcar at 400 bhp or a drag monster at 1000.
  4. Already got one thanks:spank:
  5. Open to sensible offers.

    tt ecu

Just taken one out of my car today if you are still looking?
  7. Just off the car and working perfectly a MAP ECU 2, plug and play harness and new air intake sensor. Would make a good value starter kit for someone going single on a budget. Also OEM UK spec ECU.

    Thanks Ryan

Just a quick thanks to Ryan G for his work today. He flew over this morning, fitted the HKS DLI and AEM ECU then mapped the car to 1.4 bar. Things went perfectly untill we got to the dyno. Then we discovered that my security wheelnut key had gone missing. Obviously the dyno session was scuppered. Only nthing to do was map the car on the road. As I had wasted a couple of hours going back to the house to try and find the key, we only had an hour to do the final map and get him back to the airport. It made for an interesting drive. Numerous full throttle pulls on a busy motorway at rush hour. Ryan seemed unconcerned that we were hurtling at warp speed towards the other cars in front of us. Maybe because he had his head burried in the laptop he couldnt see our impending deaths:shock: Anyway we got the car tuned and him back to the airport with a few seconds to spare.
  9. Excellent. I`ll drop him a line and see what he thinks.
  10. Will he do polished split rims? A lot of the wheel refurbers wont touch them as they are scared that they will not be able to reseal them after they are split.
  11. Yep, I would have thought that it will take me an extra couple of hours per wheel as the bits under the spokes (which are the grottiest bits) will take ages to do. It will probably take me 4 weekends to do them all
  12. I am about to do mine so was interested in how long I need to allow myself. I do have a DA polisher but because my wheels (Blitz Technospeed) have the spokes protruding over the rim it will have to be a hand job (and not the pleasant type )
  13. I assume the rims are stainless steel. How long did it take each wheel?
  14. Did you remove the lacquer and polish the bare metal?
  15. Well it depends on whether you value your wallet more than your hands and arms. I would prefer do it properly and forget about it for two years rather than have to rub down and reseal or wax every couple of months.
  16. Nonolex Professional Wheel Sealer. Pricey but it claims to give 2 year protection:thumbs:
  17. Might it be something as simple as having the vent from outside button pressed rather than recirculating? I find that I often get fumes inside especially when in slow traffic.

    Exhaust Db test

The Blitz website claims 91Db for the RX on a Supe though I was led to believe it was 95.
  19. It has a flange for welding to aluminium intercooler pipe.
  20. I still have my Arc one available if you are interested?
  21. So basically a 50k Nissan spanked a 250k supercar. Sad for a Toyota supporter to say but why would you waste your money on the Lexus?
  22. The last time we did the car the sparkle was mental in the sun. Now it is very subtle.
  23. No probs. Will take some more photos if the sum comes out. We didnt put nearly as much sparkle on this time. Last time it looked awesome when the sun hit it but it didnt look as good when it was overcast because the sparkles sort of blocked out the blue underneath. This time we have gone for a compromise. It wont look quite as awesome in the sum but it will look good all the time in all conditions.
  24. No it is Nightmare Blue Sparklescent with Hot Rod Sparkle purple and blue mixture.
