1. Are the pipe ends beaded or plain? Mine kept popping off even with two heavy duty straps on each end Bought a hand made pipe beader off ebay for £30. Now one clip on each pipe, problem sorted
2. My advice would be to save up another 5k and get a well sorted well looked after car next year rather than rush now
3. Possibly After 15 years of ownership I just want to try something different. If I change my mind after a few years I can always sell it and start a new Supra project with the proceeds
4. Its nice that you have that sort of money sitting about
5. Well I have my eye on another significantly more expensive motor and I need to sell the Supra to add to the fund pot I'm not desperate to sell but the sooner it goes, the sooner I can go shopping for the new one
6. Price now reduced to £15,000 I would prefer to sell it to a forum member but if it doesn't sell this week I'll have to put it for sale to the general public on Autotrader/Pistonheads
7. That is a bit too low mate It is already pretty keenly priced. Certainly wouldn't want to go any lower than £15k.
8. Peter, it was mapped to 1.60bar by Dimitri who I flew over from Greece. I'm not sure what the exact HP is because it was mapped on the road (private of course ) and when I put it on the dyno a few weeks later it popped the intercooler pipe half way through the pull. It made 525HP and 489Ft at 5500 RPM when the pipe popped so it should make around 600HP at redline. The intercooler pipe issue has been resolved since then (by beading the pipe end) but I didn't feel the need to go back to the dyno to get the final numbers. Regarding the paint, it is actually an off the shelf Auto Air Colours paint so it should be easy to do touch ups I have priced the car to reflect the fact that I am in Belfast rather then mainland UK. Although it is only a £50 Easyjet flight and a £150 ferry for the buyer to get it home some buyers may not want to travel
9. Thanks. I have put a lot of time, money and love into the car so it is priced to sell. If it was about money I could get a lot more by breaking it. But that would break my heart.
10. Thanks. I'll be sorry to see it go but I would rather it go to a good home rather than sit in my garage gathering dust!

12. Hi Guys and Girls, a new job further from home has led me to the difficult decision to sell my pride and joy. I have owned the car for the last 15 years and it has been my daily driver for my 7 mile commute to work. I purchase the car in 2000 as a stock UK spec 6 speed and drove it in that form until 2008 when I decided to do a full upgrade project. I sourced and purchased all the parts from Dusty at MVP and the work was carried out by Colin and Marty at Supra Specialists Ireland who did an excellent job and there have been zero mechanical problems since that time. The original PHR turbo was swapped over to a Precision 6266 CEA in 2013 and mapped to 1.60bar by Dimitri who many believe to be the best mapper in the business. Some details below: 1993 UK Spec 6 speed Supra Mileage = 136k miles MOT = 31/07/2016 Full service history (20+ stamps on the service book) Location: Belfast Works List Stock UK spec 2JZ-GTE block. MVP polished aluminium gear knob. The car has just been serviced (Titan Pro S every service) and passed its MOT two weeks ago with no advisories. The timing belt was changed last summer along with new front brake discs on the Brembo GTs. The front tyres are brand new and the rears are about 1 year old (3000 miles). Good Bits The car appears to be rock solid mechanically and has never given me a problem in 15 years other than the normal consumable items. The exterior and interior are in generally excellent condition. Bad Bits The drivers side door has a minor blemish under the lacquer and the door edge is slightly chipped where the wind blew it open against the wall The drivers seat side bolster is a little bit worn and the dye on the plastic trim has worn off slightly (the interior was originally cream). There are a few cracks on the plastic trim inside the boot. Generally the car is in excellent condition SOLD Regards, Simon

14. I have been running the Brembo Monoblock front kit (with 4 pot rears) for 5 years now and cannot fault them. I have driven 30k miles including a couple of track days and the pads and front rotors are only now in need of replacement. The rear discs are still fine. They are very progressive so it is extremely unlikely you will lock them unless your tyres are crap. Even so, it is wise to keep the ABS in case you try to stop on a slippery/gravelly road where even weak brakes would lock up. I had UK spec brakes on the car before and can comment that the Brembos are a massive improvement on the stock Toyota discs and pads.
15. Just got the second two back this evening. I think that they may be even more shiny than the first two. £200 all in.
16. Thats for all 4. Even if it costs another 100 for the extra time it has taken him to split them it is still great value.
17. £200 all in. There were other firms quoting that for each wheel. He doesnt have a fancy workshop so probably doesnt have much overhead. And probably works cash in hand most of the time.
18. No. Nu-look wont touch split rims. Left them with a Polish chap in Dundonald who trades under the name Polishing Alloys. I am getting them done two at a time as I cant take both front wheels off at the same time ( the old 17 inch wheels dont fit over the Brembo front calipers so it is jacked up on one side ). It took him a couple of weeks to do the first two as he had to leave them soaking in WD40 for over a week to loosen the rim nuts before splitting. I would think he probably could have done all 4 in the same time if I had left them all with him.
19. After nearly 10 years on the car the Blitz Technospeed Z1s were looking a lot worse for wear. Last year I had a go myself at refurbing the polished rim but it was very difficult due to the overhanging spokes. I sanded it down with reducing grit paper and finished with Zepplin metal polish. The rims looked reasonable but the centre section was very tatty. As a result I sort of gave up trying to keep the rim polished. So a couple of weeks ago I decided to get them professionally restored as the only proper way do do it is split them and refinish the 3 pieces seperately before reassembling. Got them back today.
20. It is going to be much heavier than an aluminium one.
21. Screamer pipe is an MOT failure as exhaust gasses are vented direct to atmosphere rather than through a cat. Luckily very few MOT testers even know what it is. All our MOTs here are done in official DoE testing centers where the inspectors are fully trained government testers. My car has been through 5 MOTs with the screamer and it has only been picked up once! That particular tester only knew what it was because he had one on his modified MR2. Luckily as a fellow enthusiast he turned a blind eye:thumbs:
