I'm no expert as you have gathered, but I'd say it was peak boost pressure, i was practically (almost) flooring it, thats when the car started its protestations. well the plug gap i will work on with a mechanic and get you the statistics so you can make an informed diagnosis, if i wish to seriously resolve this problem. I will look at the paperwork and see about the fuel pump and fuel filter, or contact the previous owner. Greatfully, Carl.
  6. thanks miko. will consider it as a last option.
  7. Cool Anja, my real name is Carl as you probably guessed. nice to meet you, will keep you posted if there are any developments on the height front, literally!

Well class one it would be at highish revs im thinking from about 4k to 7k revs in third or fourth gear at around 80-90 L3Pt0n5 (!). I could recreate the scenario and repost if im being too vague. I think sensibily I would do well to reduce boost pressure to 1.2 bar max. Im too newb to know what misfire sounds like, but to me it sounded like the car was saying "Carl you idiot, I know I'm highly modifed and all that but the last guy who modified me left with with standard injectors, so don't take the piss and ease up a bit on the throttle mate".. that kind of sound. AFR and EGT (what the hell is EGT?) gauges seem to involved to me, rev counter and speed in enough for me, plus im a well known worrier so this won't help - need to keep my eyes on the road. At the end of the day, its a quirk, i would live with it becuase i can ease up on the gas, but if it is a question of spark plug gapping rather than a costly injector replacement, then it could be worth it. Also I flagged it up just in case you were gonna say "Carl, that sound means your car is about to blow up". And class one, the engine was fully warm.

hello class one, i have toms racing ecu. no master alarm visible. its just hestition when i try flooring it, letting of the accelation a little cures it. thats why i thought it may be a fuel supply - injector - problem since i still have stock injectors. But im not sure mate. Carl
  10. that 29 is from where to where bro?
  11. very helpful keancy, and i will wait till the 26th. im taking my car to my skyline mechanic, to get him to see what they are. i thought they were stock.

I had some stuttering under high boost (1.3) and at high speed. is this an injector problem, mine are standard.
  15. lol... hmm.. sounds like Playschool. will see if i can take my splitter off. and will check out H/F's monday.
  16. Its a pull type, not the push type the supra needs. Open for an exchange for a pull type also.
  17. I think I have 335's on mine, but i have wide wheel arches so they are covered.
  18. How does one go about it here? The damage is not that bad.
  19. I have 4 inches keancy from ground to front bumper.. you?
  20. My car's veilside bumper is 4 inches of the ground with factory J spec springs. What would happen to the handling or safety if I raised it another 3 to 4 inches using an electric suspension cup kit all round? I was worried about wind going under the car at speed (70 mph)and making the car steering light! Who knows the truth about this? Carl
  21. interesting. I best change my driving style around uneven roads for the moment, in a way that is the cheapest and yet the most challenging option. The Difference in clearance between my old car and the new one is big, 4 inches off the ground in the supe, and 6 inches in my other car. Honestly what can lift it 2 inches for the least money, so I can make a choice. Carl
  22. yeah, MArk_rz and trick TT you are not alone in this. I got that veilside wing too. will manage for now, but in future i can see it would be a good upgrade.
  23. I agree that normal beams give off enough light.. But Mark, did you say that you have HID bulbs but no HID kit? I'm about to buy some bulbs for mine today. Also headlight removal.. how do you go about changing the bulbs? Carl
  24. (thanks..) looks like a great system, if I boutght the kit need to get a labour cost from a trader. Any recommendations to fit this?
  25. Yeah mine needs a main beam one too on the left. will try powerbulbs also, and hopefully fit it myself.
