  1. seems that these are standard j-spec. what makes do people recommend in terms of suspension, or are they all pretty much, much of a muchness?
  2. No I guess not :-) I'd go for stabilty more, plus it looks good, in my opinion. My mechanic said "Its a very odd looking car". He says that changing the suspension to TEIN adjustable all round will seriously help my speed bump problem and improve the ride quality. As it is my shocks are quite bouncy, and prob have not been changed since new. That wont help my speedbump problem. Lowering my high back end with help with the level of the car - he says. So i wont be driving around an obvious wedge shape that bounces and catches on each speedbump. I'm guessing TEIN will be a good choice. Carl
  3. I agree Matt. R34 Skyline gtr in bayside blue. I'd have that IF ever I got fed up with my current supra, and wanted to spend a lot of cash on another car. But TBH this supra i have now, just has a few final mods to do to make it very nice indeed. Carl
  4. nice shane, may this love last. My dad saw my supra today for first time and he loved it. Even my mum loves it lol. And yeah. Now I know what my car is for reference.
  5. He asked for a "Bulb shopping list", he didn't say if he has HIDS already or even wants them lol. But yeah, I'm for HIDS in dipped only, makes sense.
  6. You would need two HB4's (9006) for the full/high beam. The other bulbs you could just nick from your j-spec headlight... that right?
  7. i call it widebody. makes me feel better.
  8. Yeah jake. Check my gallery / garage..
  9. LMFAO.. I have already informed them that i have finshed with skylines. but no i won't be posting it.... unless someone asked me if im enjoying my supra....
  10. Right, im gonna get a HB3 (9005) kit then. I can use it on my J-specs and transfer it when I uprade. And it is confusing your right: main/dipped/low beam are the same. And high, and full beam are the same. Thanks guys. Can't get that alan partridge sketch out of my mind where he says "there you go: FULL BEAM!" to that guy from south africa. Funny as hell..
  11. yeah mark your right on this.. all im going to do is the main beam, not the "flashing-other-people-beam) so that costs less too.. thanks
  12. Ahh im glad you mention that class one.. I currently have plastic, but want to upgrade to glass shortly. so i'd rather save my HID kit for when I get the glass. so assuming i have glass headlights, do i need the HB3 or HB4?
  13. Nah mate im talking about the GTS 2.5 turbo- never experienced the GTR. The R34 GTR is a great looking car in the flesh, but im done with skylines for the moment. It is supra time again.
  14. oops, I think I just bought the wrong HID kit.. lol
  15. I have been asked to state from the ebay guy selling them what kit I require for my supra. Im confused: he gives me the options of H1 H4 or H7. Which type one is the supra, and what should I ask him for? Carl EDIT: He has just messaged me saying "HB3 is also know as 9005 HB4 is also know as 9006 according to our databse, your toyota supra will use HB3 as low beam and HB4 as high beam" Can someone clarify what low beam and high beam is? is it the same as main beam and full beam? And nothing to do with sidelights. IF that is right I want the HID on my main bean, and not the high beam (which i would use for flashing at people etc) So I need HB3 kit.. that right guys?

Ok dude, will have to get this checked in due course. thanks again - really helpful. Not really driving it anyway at the moment, need to get it raised. Plus its hissing down with rain and is freezing here.
  17. I've been driving a skyline r33 around for the best part of the year, now I have a supra and the difference is staggering. Not talking so much about the power, I mean the build quality its a world apart. The skyline seems plasticky and like a toy, or a mondeo, or a cavalier. The swiches and the sound of the door close and everything appears to be more solid than the r33. I love it. There is also i kinda of vintage futuristic feel.. especially with the supra i have. The way it feels so solid on the road and stable at speeds is amazing. I guess my skyline days prepared me for these days of supra ownership. (I did own widebodied supras before, but they were the mk2 version - which is probably why i went for widebody this time - love the look so much.) Carl

Thanks mate. If it was spark plug gapping would the symptoms of accelation hesitation get worse under high boost (1.3 bar)? Or is det the symptom of bad plug gapping?

thanks CJ, will look into getting that proffesionally done (I dont know where to locate them, or how to measure the gap) Carl
  20. here it is, Looks like it may be stock right? If so, what are my options? http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/1231/18112007419pc9.jpg http://img99.imageshack.us/img99/7273/18112007417wa7.jpg

update: it as a walbro fuel pump. not sure about the filter. my question now has to be.. if there is no early/ late detonation (detting?!), then what damage will be done if it is simply a case of the injectors being to small so they can't supply the level of fuel needed under near full throttle conditions?
  22. No idea, Ill let you know on monday, when ill take it to a mechanic.
  23. What is the way of doing this? I dont understand the options or techniques.
  24. I have one of these, can any of you guys confirm its right for my 6 speed manual car? I think its a push type, and I need a pull type right? http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/4601/18112007420rn4.jpg Model number ORC-709D-01T
