That makes sence! So how about these pulleys without a dampener? No good i guess as you may end up damaging the crank? or am i way of base here and there the best thing since sliced bread?

O, i thought it was to do with pulses coming down the crankshaft caused by the firing of the pistons etc? Jamie does your new pulley have a dampener or is it a solid cast?

Are you better off with a light weight crank pulley? Are the pulley and crank not balanced together? If i fit one of these light weight things am i asking for trouble or are they really worth doing? Thanks.

you was on the m40 some where between 5- 8 pm tonight just before the road works in a dark coloured supra. I was driving my new skyline, and before you say im a loon! ye video! Anyway whats the price for this car now? i cant find it! Im fed up of looking for a nice skyline now and thinking about a supra again O and i would say £800 quid is cheap for the repair. If it was being repaired at my paint shop we would be painting the door, front wing and quarter panel which would include the roof and the other quarter panel aswell ( no line or edge to blend into on quarter ) Plus 2 quarter glass removal and boot lid etc. I think the ' pig ' quote is about correct! Not sure if ' supraloopy ' is planing on painting it with halfords spray cans or somethink

and if you blow the engine up i might be intrested in buying it off you at a discount price for my next project! Do the n/a's have the same 6 speed box as the tt?

hi peeps, i have plans for a new project, im after a straight supra in good condition sort of ( not bent/crashed ) Dont need the engine ! but do need all the rest of the stuff, gearbox diff etc. Basically a rolling shell but no engine or knackered engine! Also needs to have all its lights, doors etc. Let me know whats around, Cheers.

Looking at the pictures i might be wrong! It seems it was fitted to a diesel turbo not a N/A, i guess it used the boost off the turbo to charge the air can? Like i said this was a long time ago, hence i never remembered it was a diesel!

How funny, but belive it or not you can get a dump valve kit for a N/A! ( not the speaker one ) I cant remember exactly how it worked as we fitted a kit to a customers car proberly 5 years ago now! What it had in the kit was a air tank ( about the size of a car battery ) that i think was connected to a one way valve on the vacumm side of the engine, this then filled the air tank some how that was fitted with a dump valve on the end ( hks, bailey etc ) There was a micro switch on the throttle that when you realised the throttle it would trigger the tank to blow compressed air out through the dump valve! And there you have it! A N/A with a dump valve! And to prove the kit helps you pull, the chap smashed the car up 20 minutes after picking the car up because he was busy looking at some girls at the bus stop who was apparently giving him the eye ball after hearing him coming down the road! I will see if have some pictures of the kit HIDDEN away any where for you guys and girls

you can do what i did and just get a massive loan to pay for it! Think later and all! Only thing is i owe more on the car than im selling it for! At least its not on Hp tho, a personal loan instead, At least i can sell the thing and not worry about having to clear the dept for the new owner, they will just take my house of me instead if i miss a payment

I dont know of one yet myself, anyway how much torque does the car have? This is what you need with a auto car / paddle shift, as you all know, when you stick a big single on a auto supra you have no speed untill its reving, as the RS6 is a V8 they like less revs and pure power. Mine is pushing more torque than BHP, in fact at a mere 2600rpm my RS6 is pushing out over 700Nm of torque!

Personal preference really, must say im not over keen on them myself, but when put to a vote of 10 people i know, i was the only one who didn't like them, as it happens the high power RS6 comes out the factory as standard with them! Anyway, i own a paint shop so if anyone wanted the car and did not like the wheels i would have no problem with painting them any colour you want for you!

Please stop saying that! I really want to keep it but i can not afford to run it every day, The car really is the best car i have ever owned and i hate to say it but it does make the supra feel like a tin can after you have had one of these cars! BUT i still have a soft spot for the supra and if have to pick a car i can afford to run every day, and also packed with power,( or dare i say it a down grade to the RS6)' then i need another supra! Im more than happy to sit in a supra doing 100 mile round trips everyday! Yes the RS6 is a better car but not to my budget doing that many miles a day! The rs6 is a weekend cruiser or a 10 mile trip to work car! Not 100mile a day car!

Bloody Hell! i cant even remember posting that lot:blink: O well there is a link for you all with a bit more info, but how come the price has changed in the add when it is a old add? I even decided to keep the car for another month or so to! If i remembered that lot was there i would of given a simple BUMP! Anyway as the add now says, the new price is for a week only, as the guy im buying my new car off will only hold it for 1 week for me! And yes the new motor is a weapon and i will be back over on this forum with a great big smile on my face, just with very little money left in my bank. Im not going to tell what im buying yet but you can start guessing when i say its famous and been on t.v etc
