  1. If you try launching a small case diff at a drag strip with your power it will most likely break. It would work fine for normal road driving though... The Jspec auto LSD is the small diff type. A friend uses one on his 550hp 6 speed car and it works perfectly well. It's a very fun road car as well due to the way it accelerates with the shorter auto gearing. For a large case diff you need a TT6 diff from a pre-facelift jspec or a UK Spec car. A UK Auto diff will be perfect as well. All (Jspec and UK) auto diff's come with the shorter 3.76 gearing, and the 6 speed are 3.26(jspec) 3.13(uk spec) Just your gearing changes so no remap would be needed. The shorter ratio diff helps acceleration but reduces top speed. The longer gearing is also better for any 1/4 mile racing
  2. There's no excuse when using a new phone now either, most of them finish off the words for you!!
  3. Car looks great, especially the clean bay! It looks virtually brand new. Nice work
  4. Thanks mark Yup first time out in the Supra. I used to go in my Subaru before, it was running high 10's but launching a 4wd is a piece of cake in comparison! You got a great time considering your setup with the BFG's etc. 2 step helps no end, it holds the boost right there and at the correct revs as well. You have a roll out feature as well to prevent the tyres blowing off at higher boost launches. Hopefully it works out next time. I know the car can do it, just depends on if it needs a driver mod as well. Cheers
  5. I did used to, but haven't been there for a good few years... I Could always try and contact them though to see what they say?
  6. Power engineering in Uxbridge has a Dyno Dynamics dyno now, may be a good one for London owners?...
  7. My mate was after a set, and at this price they are a bargain! I'll point him this way
  8. We needed more boost on the launch. I only left with 14 psi, so it unloaded completely and bogged instead of hooking right up. In theory with more boost it should just hook as soon as it unloads. After talking to a few guys on the overall setup with some tweaks a 1.2x should be potentially possible... It's a big old tyre, but works pretty well
  9. He is a busy lad indeed. That run in period is just your journey to the dyno! Look forward to seeing it do the business for you
  10. Thanks guys, its all a learning curve and a steep one at that! It is the best 60ft of any stock chassis supra in the UK so I'm moving in the right direction. With the help of the experienced guys like Stu/Dude I hope I can pilot the car to it's full potential. If not then I'll get one of them to drive it and get an 8! Lol
  11. Very happy for you Jurgen! Bet you can't wait to get that S8 in there and open it up on the road again! Do you have to do a run in period or is it gonna see boost right away?...
  12. Boost wise I run around 36psi which was around 1160 last time it dyno'd. Off the line I only held the two step up to 14psi, the track wasn't in great shape so we thought we'd ease in. It's the biggest rush ever though when the car hooks. Steering begins right away and you literally feel the front end trying to lift the wheels right off the ground. With the drag tyres on low pressure the car moves around the whole way down the track. Stuart and guys with his sort of setup have some nerves of steel driving those machines down there at 180+!!
  13. Thanks guys, can't wait to get back out there again now. A bit of a wait till the next test n tune but should be worth it especially if we cut an 8!!!
  14. Had an amazing day at the pod today. Got to see some awesome machinery and see Stu's beast hurtle down the track. 170mph at low boost is something special!!! It's a special machine. It was my first time out in the pod in this car and I was pretty nervous beforehand. It was also the 1st time the car has ever seen a drag strip since being built up. It didn't help that the linelock also decided to fail on the day especially when I was using brand new slicks that needed ALOT of heat to get going. That all meant that the 1st run out was a 2.2 60ft!!!! As well as that we only had 35 litres of race fuel, and on the stock fuel tank that meant fuel surge!! The motec like the syvecs pulls up the safety parameters when the fuel pressure drops so it meant I had to let off and cruise through the top. Time ended up on that run to be a 10.5@137, which was pretty promising as a starting point. We then decided to just concentrate on leaving right and getting the 60ft down. Ryan readjusted the launch control and off we went again. This time the burnout was better and the car hooked like crazy!! End result was a 1.34 60ft, which was amazing for a stock chassis 6 speed car. On a full run with that launch a 8.9-9.1 was definitely on the cards. Next time we'll be a little more prepared and come early enough to get more than 2 runs in, but all in all was a great day! Big thanks to Ryan.G for doing his thing, and Gary/VJ/Simon/Ebo for help getting the car ready on the day Also Cody Phillips for all the advice on the setup and help getting it right suspension and build wise! Here's the vids of the 2 runs. The 2nd vid is the 1.34 60ft
  15. Cheers bud Just done that now I had a buyer but once I gave payment details he didn't get back to me...
  16. Good luck with the project guys, sounds like it will be an amazing car when complete. I'm sure your target for 9's won't last long, it's probably gonna be going for 8's by the end of summer!!
  17. One of the best looking around! Looks awesome
  18. You used to be able to get a Yokohama A048R in a 27".. It's what SW used to get his 247 as well. Im not sure if they are discontinued or not though... Nitto offer a 295/45/18 though. Haven't tried the Nitto's but apparently they are a good tyre
  19. Hulk video is up They were at 120 at the end of the cones! I wasn't accelerating till 1/4 way down the track! It stops well though
  20. As above the Motec M800, with the advanced features unlocked. Includes Traction, 1MB Logging, ALS Launch control, etc This is the same spec as the flagship M880 ECU, and comes with the adaptor loom for the Supra. Comes with UTC Connector as well. Looking for £3000 ono for everything. RRP is over £4k for the same package and spec
  21. I'm sure the mods have to open it up to other forums to make up the numbers anyway. Didnt that happen last year as well?.. Not sure why everyone gets so po faced about this stuff, facts are that these events are expensive which is why every other club opens their events up. Supra nationals in the US was a supra event but now look at it. Each to their own though.
  22. Going 200+ Down a uk road isn't the best. Plus it's got nothing to do with jurgens car, he's part of the mkiv supra club 1st . The GTR forum have a good few NON 35 cars that are quick and would be nice to see them as well. 30-130 started out for Evo's only as well. The only way to spice up events is to create competition. It's all for a laugh anyhow.
