  1. No Supra but will pop down for a look in s2k
  2. aw shucks carlo ! I was only asking is all lol . hmmm my wedding sounds like a great idea to me haha
  3. Is there room for an S2k at this
  4. Congratulations to one truly mad bastard !!!
  5. Hmmm could be very tempted at that if engine ever goes in my one Cheers mate Thanks mate ! Plans are wheels first once funds are available , then lower it , won't slam it though due to the speed bumps in my estate will decide at a later date about kit as its growing on me day by day . In the meantime just drive it and enjoy it Ya mate the R32's are generally wrecked over here , I wouldnt pay the tax on a GTR to be honest with you . A mate of mine is selling a mint 32 gtr but I couldn't justify the running costs to be honest . 9k ? Blimey , thats about 11000 euro lol , I must advertise in Uk when I come to sell this ! Yes , I often thought about it, I had not driven the Supra since November 2010 but a time comes when you get sick to your teeth driving a Nissan Primera thats touching 200k miles every day of the week . Been looking at cars for the last 6 months and despite the prohibitive tax I'm glad with what I bought It's great fun , much different to the Supra , I don't think anything will ever give me the same sense of satisfaction that the Supra did but it'll certainly do me for a while !
  6. bloody awful ? no to be fair they're not that good lol !
  7. @jason : they are a lot of fun alright , was out in it yesterday in heavy rain , certainly demands your attention when right foot is down
  8. insurance is 750 on it fully comp . supercharged one would be wild at the moment I'm happy with it , I guess when I get a major thirst for an earlier power delivery I'll suss it out , must resist temptation lol.
  9. Your welcome , tough business to make it in , worked in car sales for bit myself with Toyota here . If you build a good reputation and have good stock and are reasonable with people there's no reason you can't make a success of it. Unfortunately a lot of car dealers have this smarmy image attached to them , distancing yourself from the stereotype can only help you in the long term .
  10. Best of luck with the business venture , always seemed like a very helpful member on here .
  11. Thanks folks @ abtin90 : Trust me mate I cannot believe either how expensive tax is . Since 2008 cars registered first in 2008 or later in the top emmissions bracket are 2258 a year to tax . Thank your lucky stars uk motor tax is so cheap . Plus you guys have far superior roads to us .
  12. With the way things are a Supra was out of my league unfortunately as I was looking to get back into something interesting . The tax here in Ireland is less than half on a 2ltr @660 and a 3ltr @ 1390 so decided 2ltr was max engine size . I went to look at a few R32's , went through a stage then of wanting a dc2 , finally a lot of searching I settled on an S2K . This was the second one I viewed and bought it. It needs a slight bit of tidying and a few touches but happy enough over all.
  13. Tommy I'd say it'd well fancy a few tit in a bun meals from hillbillies up the road lol .
  14. Amazing effort, absolutely love all the little touches though . Makes it truly unique . Best of luck with rest of build mate.
  15. I'm not sure about the UK but the car scene here is on it's knees , supra ownership is very small at the moment , lads with their cars on the road is minimal at best , a few years ago I must have known 30 plus owners , now I'd say about 3 things have regressed that much . The supra needs big pockets for big projects , hard to run them now never mind put in massive money for modifying
  16. Insurance quote Carlo with Aviva on the mkiii Claire main moi named €410.55*Comprehensive €379.86*Comprehensive Value €298.45*Third Party Fire & Theft
  17. With the wind blowing right and the car full of plutonium I reckon the Micra could take on the mighty delorean in a time travel race haha . You'll have to bring it to a show for the crack , park it in the Supra glovebox
  18. Haha speaks "Micraboy" , I know your alter ego , driving around at night catching criminals in your datsun Micra with your cocky stride and musky odor You'll never be the darling of the datsun fathers who cluck their tongues , stroke their beards talk about 'whats to be done with this Jellybean?'
  19. I had a look at a Skyline in Kilkenny Sunday with Alan , thing wasn't a dog , that would be a compliment lol . Looked well on the outside but drove like a bowl of jelly , bad pocket of rust inside front valance , interior very shoddy , had a bad tip at the front at some stage of it's life. Either way whatever I end up with we may get the Supra-Skyline meets going again , wonder would I qualify for a free datsun valet
  20. Cheers Gareth , the market here seems to be fond of retro japanese cars lately , ae86's etc make massive money still here . It is a wonderfully clean example having seen it at the terenure car show that Jellybean posted it's pics from . I know it's only 210bhp but to be honest I don't have a need for something with massive horsepower just enough for a bit of kick every now and then . Looking at R32 GTST Skylines at the moment also , decisions decisions lol .
  21. Looking to get back into a Supra but road tax here is too prohibitive to tax a mkiv at nearly 1400 a year . Has anybody here ever owned one of these ? Just looking for general advice before making more serious enquiries http://cars.donedeal.ie/for-sale/cars/2466044 something like this I'd be looking to pick up. Mark
  22. Where is the Ferrari 355 that is advertised as per thread title ?
