i gave colsoop a pm and deciding to get mines polished, looking at the pictures etc it looks the part, im going to have a look around places near by, see if anyone is capable of doing a good job

wow that looks stunning, is all that polished? u ever get any bother with it when water gets in? i'll send colsoop a pm as well

Anyone know anywere i can get this done, im in glasgow. i was going to get them polished but dont fancey the idea it getting fucked if moisture gets into it. powder coating was my other option but i prefer shiney

have a supra and an mr2 N/A, i would definetly get the supra ive heard that the mr's are a bit wild when the turbo kicks in for driving around round abouts etc, the supra is a more gradual build up until the second turbo kicks in. i dont know what the N/A is like but IMO if your getting a supra dont go half measures get the TT. i use the mr2 for the winter (stupid idea i know) but its a great motor for running about in- much prefer my supra though

was wanting the whole dash to have it sprayed,dont want the gearstick just the rubber bit that holds the ashtray etc how much?

do you have the rubber coated dash, gearstick surround?how much?

how much for the dash? as in the rubber coated parts from the gearstick round to the window air vent (am shit at describing things lol)

Right going to start making the basic frame tomorow, trying to sort out exactly what i need right now i have the basic kit from halfords but that won't be enough so heres what i think i need so far feel free to correct me please: Polyester Resin + catalyst epoxy lay-up resin?? floewcoat resin (do i need this?) glassfibre mat glassfibretissue gloves brushes rollers? mask stretchy fabric files staple gun cutting tool i.e jig-saw sanding tool? wet-dry paper MDF Thinners mixing tubs is that all i need? heading out tomorow to get a few tools the rest i will order from the net.

i'll give it a try and let use know how i get on, might even start tonight cheers for the help

basically i: 1-pick what i want my setup to look like, 2-make an outlike of it, cover it with strechy fabric secure it down, 3-put a few layers of hardener over it, cut out the holes, remove the excess (do i smooth it down??) 4-put the fibreglass on with more resin, few layers whats after that? do i sand it down so its all even ? i won't doing the boot as my first attempt lol going to try a few smaller things first before i start being brave

Right im going to try and explain this best i can lol does anyone know where i can get the small filters that u put between hoses to stop things like oily resisdue going through the air lines? i think thats how it goes lol when i bought my HKS dump valve i had one with it, small plastic thing with a small white filter inside it. hope that helps cheers M

yes they where fitted without checking the clearances

just so the post isnt left without an answer, the car was stripped down again at the weekend, connectors, coil pack etc was all checked and fine, the car was then shimmed (supposidly it was pain in the arse) was then put back together and since then its running great. No misfiring at all anymore =) love it again lol
