  2. Going BPU now, i have a j-spec 1993 TT, what size is the restrictor ring? im fitting a boostlogic exhaust system which is 4" connection so i will be going from 3" onto a 4"- if that makes any difference. cheers M
  3. right i'll get the diff oil changed over the weekend and let use know the outcome. anyone know of a nvh testing kit in scotland?lol
  4. right i had a look at the brakes they're doesn't seem to be anything wrong that i notice. do supra's ever suffer from the springs hitting off each other? i know mine has Tein springs on it and they're pretty close to each other- not sure what shocks are on, they look like standard ones to me. just another idea?im running out
  5. its not the exhaust checked that. got my alignment done at "the garage" http://www.the-garage.co.uk was 75 they did the whole lot, aligment camber toe n wotever else its called. thers another place in bonnybridge called progrip think he does it for 55, the same stuff, havn't used him yet but i've heard good things about him
  6. no bother i'll give that a look over 2night, u got a drawing so i can see what part your talking about?
  7. handling has been feeling good, it was crabbing a bit before i got the tracking done but that is sorted now. r u meaning the bushes that the subframe bolts tighten onto?
  8. full wheel alignment has been done recently and i havn't changed anything since then to throw it off much
  9. the noise only happens when i go over bumps. getting the bearing changed removed some of the noise (sounded like a clatter before) now its just a bump bump lol am shit at describing things but i try my best lol some more ideas please
  10. what you mean?anything i can check?
  11. right this is becoming a pain in the arse, rear of my supra is still clunking so far i have; checked the subframe bolts changed the bootrubbers changed the droplinks changed the passengers side rear bearing had the rear struts stripped and checked all bushes are good no excessive play what do i do now? im completly lost!!!
  12. Thor prefered. pm me going BPU, what size does the restrictor ring have to be, j-spec, can't find anything on it??
  13. right i've had a good look at everything today, as i said before i've had the strut etc stripped down to checked bump stops, shocks and everything has came back fine. i gave the whole hub a shake (big shake lol ) and couldn't hear anything. did the same with the exhaust.i've changed the droplinks also i checked all the bushes even tryed to wedge some of them to see if there was any play, could'nt find nothing. i'm going to try torquing the subframe again, then i'll take it out a test drive 2moro from the lock up- if still the same then its onto the ball joints. i have also emptied the boot of everything for the drive encase its somthing in there but i have tryed that before
  14. any pictures? where is this company based?
  15. cheers for the list, i'll have a look 2moro at all the things you've mentioned, whats the best way to check if thers play in a bush?
  16. looking to get my dash sprayed, whats the best way to get the rubber coating off? i know you can get them acid dipped (or somthing along those lines) where can i get this done? cheers M
  17. a diagram from a manual or somthing to show where ALL the bushes are would be helpful, anyone have something like that- clunking seems to be a common problem
  18. it isn't the exhaust i've been under the motor and gave that a good bounce around, i've changed the drop links, that was the first thing i done. i've checked the subframe there all fine as well. anyone have a drawing of al lthe bushes at the rear i can check- so i don't miss any...cheers M
  19. mines doesnt sound as severe as that, i've had the suspension checked out and there was nothin up with it, puts me back to square one as i don't know what else to check
  20. what you mean suspension legs? the shocks? i've never felt it through the floor, can only hear it, sounds nasty
  21. i've had a look on here in the search and had a looked at everything but can't solve this bangin/knocking noise from the rear, i've had the suspenion sturts off and all stripped to check the bump stops, i've had a look at the bushes and all the bolts undernear- all tight. what else can it be? ive took everything out the boot as well, the boot rubbers have been changed but no difference. it happens when i go over a group of small bumps, somtimes when i hit a large pothole i get a loud thud but doesn't happen all the time- its both sides. M
  22. fair enough, wont pay anymore than wot was paid for to begin with which in my opinion is fair enough for somthing second hand
