  1. I'm sure I have all that plugged in,the amount of times I've had the dash in and out lol
  2. Had a wee run up to temp on the driveway, both pipes going in and out the matrix are cold, car goes up to temp fine. Will try again 2moro if the weathers alright on a slop, radiator is full and topped the other coolant up to the line
  3. There's no traces of coolant around the engine bay so I doubt I'm loosing coolant that way,it usually leaves a stain when it drys up.il run her at the weekend with the cap off and double check the levels, will let use know how it goes Cheers
  4. I would change the thread title if I could, can't seem to find the option,it's fine everyone is replying now lol Yeah car runs fine otherwise, heats up fine, has never overheat.there is no dampness in the footwell either. Once the pissin rain gives me a break I'll try parking her on a hill and let use know how I get on.who knows when this rain will give in though M
  5. Yeah I meant no hot air,my bad. I've already checked the rod and I can see it operating,I'll try parking it on a hill and see where I go from there.will keep use posted Cheers
  6. Had this problem for a while but never bothered my arse to fix it. Heater speed works fine,a/c works fine,no air lock and the arm that switches between hot and cold works fine and is connected That leaves me with the matrix and I also read on another forum that the solders on the heater control panel can bugger up,any1 had this issue or know how to check it? It's not a stuck thermostat either, heating stays cold no matter how long I drive around Cheers M
  7. i got mine painted black- much better than the old rubber shit thats on it. looks fresher, to much carbon can look tacky imo M
  8. Just read on here that j-spec supras don't have egr?is this correct?I havnt mentioned mine is a j-spec so my fault for that
  9. The plugs are new,I bought them about a month ago when I turned the boost up,that's when I gaped them.I'll check the resistance, plug gap and have a look at the guide for doing the egr and let use know where I end up .cheers
  10. Is there a way I can check the tsp and egr?I'm going to pull the plugs out today and check my gap, positive I set it properly but never know
  11. It's low revs, can be any gear really,am not hammering it when it happens am just putting my foot down to accelerate.
  12. If i have changed gear and I put my foot down it feels like nothing is happening and after a few seconds it shunts up to speed, happens a lot when cold but I've noticed it a few times when I have changed gear? I hear the turbo spool up but it's not revving or spooling in a way that it would be a worm clutch, they seem to stay the same until the jerk/hesitation has went away
  13. Aww mate ur patter is class....try again fs Anyway back onto my point, how can I check my egr?il pull the plugs out over the weeken and il double check what I've set them to Cheers
  14. Cause u don't get paid enough in that place also stop spammin my post
  15. Hi all This has been happening for a while now but Ive not bothered my arse getting round to finding out the problem. Mostly from cold when I accelerate it seems to take a few seconds for it to react, then as if it catches up it goes. It happens when the car is up to temp as well,if I'm on the motorway and drop a gear, foot down,it doesn't want to pull for a few seconds then it catches up. Any ideas or things I can check? Ps before Scott says I'm a mechanic,I'm not anymore back to the engineering trade. Forgot to say : it's a tt manual, decat, boost controller set to 1.2,plugs gaped to whatever the setting on here told me .8 I think it was.
  16. The one I had to start am sure is a one bar one so I'll try that and let u know how it goes Cheers M
  17. Turned the boost controller of today peaked at 0.8 so the ring is restricting a fair bit is it not?
  18. Just read that over, man I rabble when am tired Away to sleep before I talk more shite!!
  19. Can't Remember I fit it ages ago,I will measure the one I have in the shed 2moro.il leave the boost the way it was for now and give everything a check over 2moro.Been hammering around in it all night so if theres any damage done itl be done by now lol.before I changed the ring the car could reach over a bar no bother but il check over the lines 2moro and then try the other ring, perhaps I'm restricting a bit much ...oops Cheers Scott
  20. I had the gain turned from soft right around to sharp and the boost seething on the controller at max as well thats what made me think this smaller ring is causing the grief. The reason I put the smaller on in was because it felt like it was misfiring but now I have set the plugs up it seems good just lacking the boost pressure? Sorry if that doesn't make sense it's been a long day lol
  21. Right I fit different plugs gaped to 0.7 ad turned the boost up but doesnt seem to get to 1.2 fully until 3 and 4th gear, the restrictor ring I have in the exhaust is smaller than the one stated to get because I thought it was overboosting when I first got it done-I now know better. Do you think switching to the other RR will allow 1.2 consistently? Also my boost gauge when I go over 1.0 has a red warning light that comes on?havnt got a clue what type of gauge it is,was already in the car-do I ignore it?
  22. Nice one, that's what I like to hear.keep us informed because if there decent enough I'll get them and save some cash :-) Cheers M
  23. Been looking to change the suspension for a while now since the back shockers are destroyed.I was reading posts about tein and hsd coilovers and due to price I would go for the hsds but....through my work I can get BC coilovers for a decent price-I fit a set on a nissan stagea today and they seem like a really good quality. Has anyone had any use with these or heard anything? I know you will get different setups like street etc but I'm sure these where just ur basic model, adjustable ride height with separate spring pre load setup Cheers M
