Thanks mate… they are a good looking wheel. Tough toss up between these and the Classics CCW though all the way… well until a set of OEMs rock up

Yeah agreed, so fond of the OEM look. Thanks buddy

Also a big thanks to everyone for their effort and messages of support with this build. OEM + here we come

One for Lee this… insisted we put the active spoiler back on the car. Look forward to seeing this all up and running. *Big thanks to Phillip for sourcing, supplying and delivering *
-
From Sard to TRD to OEM… Spoiler Off to @baldy for paint joining the bonnet & bumper. *Shout out to Tom & his Mrs, nice to meet you both and thank you for sourcing the OEM stock spoiler*
-
Tough one this letting go the genuine Varis RIDOX that the car came over from Japan with. Complete new OEM front bumper sourced with new lip and grille *Big thanks to Lee & SRD for supplying & Great to meet Amy the new owner of the Ridox*
-
Me either buddy, Lee I believe also had never seen one so really looking forward to seeing it up and running as the car slowly goes back to all oem. To think that this was a factory option 20 odd years ago really does tell you something about Toyota and how special the Supra was . Cool Car

Front subframe and Toyota REIS system cleaned ready for recommissioning. Looking forward to seeing how this drives

Will do mate…. Recently sourced a stock bonnet after a swap for my carbon fibre one. *Big Shout out to Will* thanks for the bonnet and great to meet you. Very fortunate to now have @baldy at the end of the paint gun for this next step prior to the car off to SRD for the tear down

Yeah he can’t wait to drive around it with us. Every opportunity he gets he sits in it and is surprisingly interested in what’s going on with the build for a 3yr old. Keeps chasing me up for the bonnet that is currently being changed out. Nice son and dad project.
-
Definitely mate, luckily these where just left stored in a huge warehouse and simply forgotten about in there Toyota packaging. First interference was when I cut open the box….
-
chase that dream… this is how they all start… one good nights sleep and then a quick call to SRD
-
Thanks mate, it’s been a journey to get here but grateful of all the support from old and new friends along the way
-
Thank you very much, kindly appreciated. Credit to Steve the previous owner and SRD who’s team project manage the builds and compliment the servicing. Look forward to the updates on your black car
-
No not at all. The black Wangan box was fitted a few years back and is perfect. Drives like new and those who have also driven her say it’s the best box they have ever felt. No faults, leaks whatsoever. They are still in the factory create wrapped, sealed and greased internal and externally by Toyota.

….. should be a good one, a little different and SRD are looking forward their expansion into exclusive Heritage builds. Very pleased to have a build slot. Much appreciated, the black car is awesome, SRD did a blueprint 1000bhp build on that in 2018. Was meant to swap it out for a R34 when the RSP landed but couldn’t let it go..

Think you right… I know of three create 161’s and I am privileged to own two of them. Think there are though a few 160’s floating about still created like these in the states.
-
Yes we all had a giggle when the second create new 161 came up and was like… got to have it what are the chances lol. Funny thing is, the RSP came with an absolute mint V161 as well that has yet to be installed… got a video from Paul Cheshire giving it a clean bill of health after it was opens and inspected and simply resealed. Also I bought a low mileage 35,000km stock 2jz out of another local Supra to swap into the RSP (so can sell the built engine) but had to buy the gearbox on the back of it as well Going to end up with more V161’s than Toyota. Here’s the lose box from the RSP and the other one from the separate engine bought. All this to go back to stock
