  1. Hi Bought a brand new HKS EVC 6 today, as my car is suffering from boost problems LINK, thought it was a faulty solenoid. After plugging in the new solenoid found out that this was not the case. Now I have 2 EVC 6's, HKS INFO So for sale brand new boxed, HKS EVC 6, full english instructions with 1 years warranty. £330 delivered next day to your door. HKS celebrates the 20th Anniversary of the original Electronic Valve Controller (EVC) with an all-new EVC boost controller model. The original EVC released in 1987 was the first commercially available electronic boost controller, and revolutionized the aftermarket industry. HKS’ 20 years and five EVC generations of boost control knowledge has been harnessed into this all-new EVC. The new HKS EVC has improved boost stability for maintaining pressure at high RPMs providing increased top-end power, and a new mapping feature allows boost pressure to be precisely tuned for throttle + RPM (or vehicle speed). The new EVC also offers a selectable kPa or PSI unit of measure, and a unique warning feature where if over boosting occurs, boost pressure can be programmed to drop to a user preset level. The new target boost setting and volume knob with three button user interface makes setup and tuning intuitive and simple. The design of the new EVC features a sleek black case with a clear acrylic faceplate and a positive lit LCD display offering a sophisticated look.
  2. Well its not the solenoid now have 2 EVC 6's. Any other ideas will be appreciated
  3. No worries cheers for your help, ordered complete kit today, fingers crossed this will sort the problem, if not there will be a cheap EVC 6 up for grabs
  4. when turn the EVC off get just over bar which is what the springs in the wastegate is rated at, not got a bov, intercooler pipes seem all good, would of thought if was problem with intercooler pipes would hardly see boost. If i bypass the solenoid will only make stock boost or what the spring is rated to. Did you manage to buy ur solenoid separately
  5. Getting a drop in boost used to make 1.6ish bar now around 1.3, its a single T04Z, got 60mm wastegate Lee P had it off and apart yesterday all seems mint, diaphragm and gaskets all good, Pessure tested all the vacum pipes there all fine. Checked the fuzzy logic is off. makes little over a bar with EVC off which is probably the spring rating. What problems where u getting when ur solenoid went, also pain that seems they don't just sell the solenoid. Don't want to buy complete kit to find out its not the problem
  6. Hi Need to eliminate a problem , does any one near or around Brighton have a EVC VI. If possible hoping to meet up and swop over the solenoid component, (3 vacum pipes and a multi plug) should take couple of mins. As believe this is causing my boost problem but don't want to get a new one to find out nothing wrong with it as only sell it as a complete kit Any help would be most appreciated, cheers and fingers crossed
  7. Hi, looking for some help and advise. Went for a drive today then after couple of hours I noticed the car did not feel as aggreesive as normal realised I was only making 1.1bar full boost normally 1.55/1.6 when really cold. Checked the boost controller settings are fine, under bonnet all hoses and vacum pipes look correct and present these are only few months old so shouldn't have any cracks or leaks. Any help would be much appreciated. Also wanted to say thank you to Nic for getting me a copy of the EVC VI mannual
