  1. My SRD twin fan set up has a manual override and works very well. The car runs hot, it has big twins and a built engine but I can sit in traffic switch both fans on and bring the temps down as low as 78c in the summer.
  2. Yeah they always come up nice the old CCWs, I used Meguiars NXT Metal polish with various polishing polishing drill bits and they several coats of Poor Boys Wheel Sealent Thanks buddy, much appreciated
  3. Engine all successful fired up, initial 100miles dyno running in, all new software down loaded to replace the out of date early version. Map is being built due to the original old map being somewhat far from desired fuelling goals due to the fresh engine and new manifold.   4. New polished SRD alternator to support the fan set up on idle, now produces 138amp @800rpm increasing to 180amps @1800rpm

  7. Engine now pretty much ready to go in, SRD are reconditioning the aircon pump, fitting a new 180amp polished alternator and updating some of the old design oil lines etc

  13. Before I start I must say, If Carlsberg did tuning shops I can confidently say they would not be nearly as good as SRD Tuning....... check this out. So after splitting the engine for all the above we moved to the turbo side of things. Now the car has an uber rare “Trust” factory twin turbo kit. These were only available for two years in Japan being extremely expensive which which lead to it being discontinued and replaced by the much more affordable GReddy T78 & T88 kits and then totally eclipsed by the HKS GT2835 kit came out in 1999 or 2000. Now modern big singles are much more efficient but I have always been a fan of big twins and this set up works really well. However nearly 20yrs old I wanted to keep the twin set up but with a more modern design on the existing proven manifold. This twin manifold used GReddy forged ridged flanges and a JUN exhaust flange plate with a single waste gate made from steel. The obvious upgrade would be to remanufacture the existing manifold in 304 stainless steel in a thicker 3mm for increased strength and heat resistance. However for a one of, SRD commissioned an all mandrel bent (rather than cast elbow) 2mm wall manifold based on the original with an improved waste gate collector design. All made from the exotic 321 stainless steel, which is a titanium stabilised stainless steel. 321 is lighter and stronger than 304.....at 2mm its the equivalent of 4mm 304. It also maintains more strength and toughness at extreme temperatures. A few pics of the old rare and now new one off SRD manifold.

  16. 2015 Uprated 100amp SRD alternator, offered for sale as changing it out for a polished item. (May need the pulley off of it if replacement item doesn’t come with one, will check) £SOLD
  17. Repairs or simply just Spares! Offered if either of these can help someone out..... if not don’t worry I will make a lamp or something out of them. Set of 2JZ GTE Carrillo Rods & Crank, The engine spun bearing on Rod 6 during a dyno pull. Bearings used when it failed where Toyota OEM so softer than replacement race bearings. Car was shut down immediately after the run so not driven around for miles on a road failure. Rods all have CARR bolts Rods 2,3,4,5 nice condition. Rod 6 spun the bearing will need replacing Rod 1 measures (0.16) ....recommended wear limit (0.20) I would also replace Rods £SOLD. Crank is in good condition but will need a visit to the machine shop for a regrind due to Rod 6 bearing failure Crank £SOLD **
