  1. Looking for a bucket style seat, preferably reclining and with sub-frame. It's for a PS3 gaming chair so not masssively fussed on condition. Ideally looking for something free or very cheap. I've been checking Ebay but I keep missing the ones I'm interested in. If anyone in the Gloucestershire or Watford areas (or anywhere in between for that matter) has something lying around, I should be able to collect and take it off your hands. Thanks!
  2. Looking for a decat pipe for the 1st cat on my '93 J-spec TT (non VVTi). Would like one second hand in good condition to save a few quid otherwise I'll get a new one in a couple of weeks. Anyone got one they don't want?
  3. Mine just arrived too. I don't really know what I'm looking at quality-wise, but they look pretty
  4. I got a high mileage 2004 Leon Cupra TDi recently. Looks great, a lot of fun to drive, can get 53mpg on a long journey if I work hard (43-48 if I'm not being careful) and it's got 150bhp so 0-60 in 8.6s and shed loads of torque. Not sure I'd go back to a petrol run around now. Ryan G can remap them to about 180bhp for a very reasonable price too
  5. So if I were to upgrade from small OEM brakes to large OEM brakes (i.e. calipers and discs), would I also need to change the BMC? Is there anything else needed for the conversion? Would a BMC brace be the same for small as large OEM brakes? Cheers.
  6. I'm interested but can't really collect - any chance you could get a price on postage? Cheers.
  7. Out of interest, where do you take the buggy to use properly? I'm assuming you don't only drive it on the road? Would love one myself but can't really justify the money atm
  8. I think someone threw up in the engine bay.
  9. Ditto. Supras will always have a special place in my heart, and I hope I never lose or have to sell mine, but Corvettes definitely do it for me. They have a similar raw appeal for me as TVRs do. I imagine the modern Corvettes are slightly more civilised than a Tuscan, but I love the noise and raw, untamed NA power of them. One day
  10. Cheers, I'll speak to them. I'm already on the list I'll have them anyway, was just curious
  11. Do the lines differ for UK/J spec brakes? I currently have the original J-spec set up but I want to go UK in the future and was wondering if I would need to change these when I do?
  12. Hmm, this is all sounding a bit too conspiracy theory for me. I don't disagree that the government tend to do some dodgy things with changing schemes, I just happen to think that this scheme, as it is now, is a good idea. Off away for the weekend now anyway. It's been a pleasure discussing with you
  13. In the 70s and 80s systems like this weren't even conceived let alone possible, so the comparison is hardly fair. Trust issues aside, of all the things we can get angry at, I just really don't see this as one of them. I'm also not sure what liberties and freedoms we're likely lose from this. If they were saying we're not allowed to do certain things then that would be different, but while they're just collecting information, I don't think there's a problem.
  14. I know the systems are real. I happen to know a lot about them. These 'journalists' (I use the term lightly) twist fragments of knowledge and understanding to scare people into over reaction. Think of the bigger picture. The systems are designed to stop bad things from happening. If you're not planning on doing anything bad, they won't care about you. I'm fairly certain the government has no plan of tracking down people likely to fart to demand they ask for permission. They have bigger agendas. Motoring offences also have nothing to do with this. You're irrationally throwing out your gripes and blaming some new computer system for them. So what if you're recorded on camera walking down a high-street doing some shopping? If you're walking down the high-street holding a gun and threatening people, I'll feel happier knowing you're being recorded. What can they possibly do to you using the 'Big Brother footage' if you haven't done anything wrong? Nothing. The idea is not nonsense. The only nonsense is that projects such as this are usually run by idiots and suffer for being wrapped in endless levels of bureaucracy. That's what people should get annoyed about, not the scheme itself.
  15. I believe nothing in that article, it's bollocks. Besides, even if it's true, I'll happily fill in a few more forms for the sake of aiding national security. Not that you'd have to fill in any forms. If a scheme like this was actually implemented, it wouldn't be paper based, it'd be an automatic system and you wouldn't have to do anything yourself. I have nothing to hide so don't give a crap what information the government want to keep about me. What are they going to do with it exactly? Nothing. There's nothing they can do that would bother me, except sell it, which they can't and won't.
  16. It's possible but you might have to search around and wait for the right one. You'd get a lot more choice on an NA for that price.
  17. Neither NA or TT is particularly economical. Combined driving you're probably looking at 20-24mpg in a TT (based on my experience) and probably a bit more in an NA (although I don't think it's massively better). My 8 mile journeys to and from work in a TT auto get me about 14mpg but that's because of traffic and short distance. Performance wise, an NA should get you 0-60 in around 6.5s and a TT in about 5s. I don't think there are definitive figures but they seem to be generally accepted as being about right (I think). 4k should get you a nice NA Welcome along, by the way
  18. Hmm, close, but more like: Golly, I do like spinners! I would just love to own an exhaust spinner like the one in that splendid video. Come to think of it, I'd also jolly well love to have some shiny spinners on a set of huge wheels. Not to mention a whirligig-on-a-stick (see photo) in place of my aerial. They look super! I can't think of anywhere else on the car I could put a spinner, but if anyone has any ideas, I'd be extremely grateful for the suggestions.

  20. I haven't read the novel(s?) but saw the film last night and thought it was excellent. One of my favourite films of recent times. A friend explained the original ending to me and it sounded good but they would have had to change a fair bit through the film to make it work properly. I thought the film ending was good as it was, although I may have been bitter/annoyed about it had I read the original. I might have to try and read the original now. I didn't notice the music being particularly loud. Rorschach was awesome - really liked his character. I think the chip fat scene was possibly my favourite - saw it coming with the first shot from behind the food counter, got very excited in the anticipation and wasn't disappointed I didn't bother reading many of the posts on this thread, but thought I'd add my opinion
