  1. That sounds like a plan. Do it! I'm up for whichever solution offers me a plug and play. Will happily pay £50 if that's the one that's the easy fit. I would offer to be a guinea pig for the other one, but if it didn't work perfectly, I'd be lost and we'd be nowhere nearer an answer.
  2. Erm, so with this iTrader thing, am I meant to reply to the one you left me or start a new one somehow?
  3. Hi Ray, Mine arrived yesterday, all snuggly and lovingly packed. Only had a quick butcher's but they look pretty darn slick. Nice one! I'll get onto the iTrader thing pronto! Cheers!
  4. I run the Supra and a Leon Cupra TDi (group 13 I think), they each cost me £900 last time I took out policies, both as a 24 year old - Supra with 3 years ncb, Leon with 2.
  5. Do any of you guys run in the mornings? I've only tried it once - in my lead up to doing the Great North Run last month and it was horrible. I felt ill the entire time and felt pretty rubbish all morning at work, too. Just wondering if anyone else has had a similar thing and overcame it in any particular way? I should probably just try different combinations of food/drink before and during but thought I'd ask anyway. I haven't run since I did a 10k the week after the GNR. I really want to start running again but I have so much on in the evenings I can't really dedicate the time to it. If I can do it in the morning though, it will solve all my problems
  6. As someone who enjoys the forum but isn't 'in with it' as much as I need to be to keep track of all the things I'm interested in - I think it's a great idea. There are a lot of people who have their finger on mkivsupra.net's pulse and know anything and everything going on that's interesting, and have no need for a magazine. While I try and read as many threads as possible, I just don't have the time or patience to filter out the chuff and get to the stuff I want to read. If someone else does the filtering for me and presents me with a shiny magazine I can just pick up and read every now and then, I'll be their best friend forever. This forum is a great pot of knowledge when you can trawl through it to get to what you need and is a great medium for chatting about the cars we all love, but if you're not in the groove of it, you miss out and don't receive all the value it can offer. If there is another medium for delivering some of that value, why not go for it? Obviously not everyone will be interested or think it worthwhile and that's fine. I think there will be enough people interested to make it a success - be it as an 'annual' or more frequent publication. Apologies for the ramble... do it
  7. Going from manual to auto is easier than it is to go back again (if you've been solely auto for a while), and even that isn't bad. I currently have both - auto Supra and manual Leon. The auto is a doddle to drive - it has a stop pedal and a go pedal - and I prefer it by a long way. You'll be fine The only thing I do now, and it's very rare, is that I forget to use the clutch in my manual and wonder why I'm juddering as I slow down. I've never looked for a clutch in an auto.
  8. Oh, you are a sweetheart How do you want payment - I can do paypal now or bank transfer this evening?
  9. Am I too late for a set with logos, Ray?
  10. I'm not sure if my rear wheels are 9 or 9.5 but I have Falken 452 275/35/18 on them and they seem to be fine so far. I previously had Michelin Pilot Sport 285/35/18 and they were fine also. Don't know if that helps.
  11. Just had some of these fitted 2 weeks ago, otherwise would have had them. Free bump.
  12. I feel sick. Burn it. Please.
  13. Shame? Shame...? It's a damn outrage! It's an insult to the car that we all know and love. I'm off to burn down their office and sacrifice the writers to the Toyota Gods. Who's with me?!
  14. £15k for the car, sell the paint job for 10k and you have yourself a nice Camaro for £5k. Bargain.
  15. I'm unbeaten. Probably because I don't race, but still, 100% record Actually, I did once teach a Prelude a lesson. He was driving like a nob. It was a proud moment. Until I realised my undertray was dragging so had to pull into the hard shoulder of the motorway slip road and lie under the car to tape it up. That wasn't such a good moment. Put up the Veyron vid! I'd love to have my ass handed to me by a Veyron - they're the tits.
  16. I was expecting to be BPU this year after stock last year. Garage didn't complete the work so was still stock. Turns out I forgot my licence so couldn't compete anyway. Then got 2 huge blisters in my left front tyre and have an oil leak that's lost the entire sump contents on various roads across the UK over the weekend. Car now left in Watford at my girlfriend's parents' house while I had to get train back to Cheltenham. I'm not happy.
  17. Would you do a special price on all the plastic trim bits?
  18. On the subject of Cheltenham, I dropped an AFR gauge off at Ajec Racing today as my Supra is in there having some work done and at that time there was a gunmetal Veilside kitted supra in the car park (looked very nice) and a white stock looking one on the dyno. Not seen either before. Fingers crossed I should be getting mine back tomorrow all BPU'd and dyno'd ready for Pod Not seen a black one in Cheltenham yet. Sorry for the hijack
  19. It was about 1 in the morning and I'd just got out of a van having been driven for 8 hours from Scotland to Malvern after a week's mountain biking holiday. On my way back to Cheltenham, I was fiddling with my CDs and didn't see the road bend slightly right before it moved to the left. I just clipped it and it swerved me a bit. Car was fine though and there was no one around. Not as dramatic as you might imagine That's what puts me off getting an aftermarket bumper - I regularly drive places with pretty nasty ones. Plus I like the current look. Just need a bonnet scoop to complete my version of Mr Toyota's vision
  20. I've hit a curb at 60 before That was the left front wheel though and not the bumper. Also not in the Supra. I've been pretty good so far at remembering to take mine up - not hit anything with it yet *touch wood*.
  21. I personally think it's a waste having the active spoiler without manual control. It looks awesome down, why wait until you hit 60 to have it on show?
