  1. Just seen this thread now, what an amazing car, absolutely mint. I tried to get my wife to buy an s2000 but she couldn't justify the asking prices so we settled on a celica 190 T sport, it's okay but I wished she'd have chosen the honda (mainly so I could drive it and she could use my 307 hdi) Good luck with finding your getrag
  2. There you go again Chris, you're always sitting on the fence, why can't you just say what you really feel for once

    hi every one

Welcome Dan, Loads of info on here, have a look in the FAQs and Technical sections etc.
  4. Hi Rob, that is the sort of figure I was thinking of, if I get no better offer by then they are yours, PM me when you are ready mate
  5. I had the same worry but it's not like it sounds, it does set to the touch if you know what I mean, it takes a few days, it doesn't stay sticky like it is when first applied. I'm pretty sure GZaerojon? (can't remember his username) that used to refurb lights regularly used windscreen sealant to reseal them, he said it's ideal because you can seal them up totally but can pull them apart in the future without the need for putting them in the oven.
  6. Help needed please from someone thats good with I.T or has been in a similar position??? I need something cheap and cheerful to take to America for a couple of weeks, we are going to San Franscisco, Vegas and Los Angeles. I am thinking of buying this to take with me to connect to the internet whilst abroad, it needs to be something cheap and cheerful so it won't matter if it gets lost, destroyed etc. I don't want to take my laptop and my mobile is cr*p. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/r.html?R=20COQM1JZMXEQ&C=2IVCYE2PXP6IU&H=11INMLJN4O4Y6FTKGS2JM4AWGLQA&T=C&U=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.amazon.co.uk%2Fdp%2FB007V5XL94%2Fref%3Dpe_82971_30275321_pe_epc_dt3 Can someone tell me if this will work in the USA? I will be intending to connect to the wireless network at the hotels we are staying in. If it isn't suitable can someone recommend something else that will definitely work??? Thanks in advance. Tom
  7. I used this stuff, worked fine http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/INDASA-Windscreen-Sealant-Window-Sunroof-Cluster-Leak-Repair-Sealer-Black-/290677174074?pt=UK_Body_Shop_Supplies_Paint&hash=item43adb5af3a
  8. Just seeing if there's any interest in these. I bought these and refurbed them myself to practice on before doing my own set. I think they have come out well, however i've done my other set now so these are surplus to requirements. If anyone wants any more photo's of them let me know what you specifically want to see and pm me your email address. In my opinion they look in very good condition overall, they have been wet sanded inside and out, then finished with a machine polisher using G3 cutting compund then plasticX so no yellowing at all. If you were being extremely fussy then I would say they are not 100% perfect, you can see tiny little (P2000) scratch marks in the lenses but these are not noticable until up very close. These are much tidier than most s/h sets available. Only bad point in my opinion is the slight marks on the passenger side one (can't get it to show up well on camera, its just about noticable on the photo taken from above, looking down on the lense). These marks are only noticable from looking at the headlight from a certain angle above it. I couldn't sand this out because it appears to be in between the two sides of the plastic. I've taken more photo's of the passenger side light because that is the one with the imperfections noted above. The drivers side one is better with nothing worth commenting on. These lights have had the old sealant completely removed and re-sealed with windscreen sealant, which I haven't smeared all over the place like some i've seen. I've driven the car around for about a month with them fitted and they haven't misted up at all but this was usually on dry days, they don't appear to have any leaks, i've washed the car several times with no after effects, i've used plenty of sealant so there shouldn't be any problems. The chrome rings were sanded down, masked off and sprayed in silver paint then laquered. The inserts are matt black. If you do a search for "headlight refurb", I did a quick thread on the refurb with more photo's and details. I'd be looking at sensible offers only, bear in mind a knackered set of genuine facelifts in need of work will set you back at least £150-£200 and i've done the hard graft so they are ready to fit Please remember these are refurbed and not brand new, I don't want any one coming back to me once they have bought them if they spot a tiny blemish here and there, I have been completely honest with the description so there will be no refunds. I am willing to box up and post to UK only via TNT Cheers Tom
  9. I've only gone as far as replacing the cambelt on mine mate, if you can get the dreaded crank pulley bolt off without having to remove the bumper and FMIC you should be okay from there, theres a fair amount of room to play with. I'm not sure on the procedure to carry out the work you need to do? is the leak definitely not coming out the oil filter or sump plug before you get too worried?
  10. I'm no expert but I reckon you might get away with just removing the radiator. FMIC should be far enough forward shouldn't it?
  11. Here's a sample of mine (just tidied up a bit, excuse the state of the floor paint). My favourite tools of choice include my snap on gun, gas axe and mig welder
  12. Good shout Jamie, i'll get some posted up in the next couple of days. I love tools
  13. I've always found its the older more mature folk that comment on my supra, late 30's - 60 age bracket seem to appreciate it. The younger generation don't notice or acknowledge it, it's just an old toyota that their ford focus could smoke with ease.
  14. I like the white one. Yellow is just a bit too in your face for my liking.
  15. Nice car Dan, Just needs the original 15" alloy wheels to be perfect imo
  16. Escorts are , wouldn't go that far though
  17. Agreed, everyone loves a classic ford
  18. everyone needs the drivers side one. I gave up looking a long time ago. I wonder why the drivers side goes missing?
  19. Any photo's? I love RST's, is it a series 1 or 2?
  20. It's a bit worrying if a mechanic can't be trusted to fit a set of discs. I would imagine it'll be fine to leave it at any garage for something so simple.
  21. Use the meguiars kit mate, very easy to use, comes with two clay bars, lube, wax and micro fibre cloths. All instructions are very simple to follow, made a massive difference to the smoothness of my paint
  22. You state that the car is stock but you don't have a piggy back ecu such as apexi SAFC fitted do you?, is the car modified at all?
