  1. I use a Ctek one too, its on my car permanently in the garage but the leads aren't long, maybe 6ft length total from power socket to the car battery, works brilliantly though. Not sure if they do battery powered one?, I doubt it though, they work by constantly charging up then slightly discharging the battery to keep the cycle running constantly so it would run out of power very quickly if not connected to the mains.
  2. Thanks Bob, must have missed that one at the time. I'll have a read of that
  3. Interesting post, I've read a few "car not boosting" threads and had issues myself in the past, never come across this one before though, please let us know if replacing the hose fixes your issue
  4. I'm thinking of selling up this year, i've pretty much decided i'll get a gtr instead.
  5. In my opinion they will go up again I think there could come a time when an average condition j-spec TT is worth £8-10k , problem is it'll take years before they become a rare classic, the value will drop even lower before this happens and I think it'll be another 8-10 years before they are considered classic and probably even longer before they become really desirable again (its all about rich folk and nostalgia for buying a great car they used to drive years ago, who can honestly say they wouldn't have another 205 gti or xr3i like they used to own back in the 90's if money was no object )
  6. Bear in mind it rains up here constantly Must be about September when I last drove mine, I can't be arsed washing and waxing it etc every time I take it out so don't bother unless the roads are dry......I might get a trip out next June if i'm lucky with the weather.
  7. Hi Jon, these facelifts are mine, I've been waiting on these since November, Rob told me he'd get these collected and delivered to me this week, no chance of that now though, can you ask him to PM me if you get in touch with him?
  8. Ah okay mate, I was hoping they might be tein s/s, couldn't tell by the photo's on my phone. Thanks anyway
  9. Hi Rog, what brand are the shock absorbers? would they be for sale?

    Boot rust!

I can't believe those pictures at least mines still immaculate
  11. Totally agree with Geo here, its the members that make the forum great not what car they drive, as an example of this one of my favourite recent threads on the forum is Jamie's JPS building services which obviously has nothing to do with cars, I personally like to see a bit of variety on the forum and the GT-R's make a welcome change. I can't ever see me getting rid of my supra but I guess anything is possible, I'll take mine off the road every winter and have it as a summer toy, I still love it as much as the day I bought it, having said that I am not in a financial position to be looking at buying a GT-R so I try never to look at them too closely or desirabley Good luck with the new car when you get it Geo, looking forward to seeing a new build thread to go with it.
  12. When was the last time you changed the oil in the box?, If its not been done in ages i'd try and flush out whats in the sump and put fresh oil in, if it helps at all then do a full flush, hopefully a cheap(ish) fix
  13. GTR by any chance ? Nice car i'm sure you'll get a decent price for a 6 speed in that condition
  14. To be fair I agree that heating the garage is a step too far but I wouldn't dream of leaving my car parked up outside (my brake discs would go rusty )
  15. As long as it keeps turning left to right it'll be fine, make sure the motor doesn't burn out though or you might damage the paint.
  16. Meh! nothing a bit of welding wouldn't fix
  17. Best advice would be not to install it by all accounts, if I were you i'd do a search on Bee-R before fitting. Welcome by the club by the way
  18. My money would be on the O2 sensor. Mine was the same until I replaced the sensor on the down pipe.

    Headlight Rings

Something i've noticed is the largest ring on the facelift light is incredibly close to the plastic lense as it is, with slip over metal rings on top of that will they not be touching against it?
