  1. Guys here is my motoring colum that will be printed in tomorrows Daily Mirror. Don't forget to get your copy in the morning, only 45p, a flippin bargain Marty and Darragh check out your Supras to right pix! thanks Daz
  2. don't know when he got her Jim, nice car, Marty says it standard apart from BPU upgrades but still he did one hell of a burnout in it and scared the life out of my one-year-old son, he didn't stop crying for ages LOL
  3. Jim try http://www.sideways-racing.com and go to the gallery then scroll down to the very bottom(last additiopns) and there are some there. Not sure where Darragh is getting the pix of him and Marty doing the burnout comp.
  4. it's all right wayne emailed me back with his email address, apparently his mobile isn't workin' some of the pix look amazing, did you make it home on your tyres?
  5. No worries Darragh I'll not use your mug shot LOL. I was speaking to Wayne earlier and he gave me Phil Ray's number but there's no answer. I will try him again later as he was supposed to send me pix. You don't have an email for Phil Ray do you. I also got a PM from Mr Mick Begley looking for me to send him a pdf of the page I'm doing so I will fire that over to him when I'm done with it tomorrow.
  6. Yep this was a brilliant day, even my wife enjoyed it, wish I could of stayed a bit longer, sorry I missed you burnout Darragh, but I had to go early cause my one-year-old needed to sleep and that wasn't possible with the Gaijin letting rip down the strip. I'm iving the drag racing a really good show this Friday in the Daily Mirror. I've managed to dedicate almost a full page to the event. I'll post up a pdf of the page when I finished with it tomorrow. PS Darragh I might even be able to squeeze in a pix of you and your trophy and I'm sure you'll get a mention for winning the burnout comp.
  7. Well you just give me feedback buy saying your getting your misses to buy the paper on a Friday. Any mention on a forum is great as I can print it out to show to my bosses. They love to see positive reactions so it's all good. thanks Darragh
  8. thanks I've probably seen him down at Bishops Court. I will email him my plans, thanks for getting back to me.
  9. cheers Darragh I'll give him a bell in the morning, you don't have an email for him do you as I'm supposed to be doing other things in work at the minute instead of messing about with my column.
  10. Hi Darragh, do you mind if I give the drag racing a mention in my Motoring column in the Daily Mirror. It comes out every Friday and I list up and coming events going on in Northern Ireland. I might even alocate a story in the coming weeks or wait until the event has happended and give it a bit of a review the week after that way i can get pix. I will let you know when I have a better idea of how much space I'll have. I did plug the Supra/Skyline weekend and also did a bit of a story on it too so it would be nice to have this mentioned as it is in the North. Hope that's ok with you, can let me know as I might give it a mention this week if I have time. thanks Daz
  11. Yep I drive a Blue NA-Turbo Supra and was at Junction One. I'm on my 4th column now and I'm trying my best to list as many up and coming events and car clubs. I have to run test drives to keep advertisers happy but I want to feature as much performance and Jap features as I can get away with. I have the new Landrover Discovery 4 for next week, amazing machine, it would be great for pulling a drift car or two LOL. I'm going to the 'drift school ireland' on the 20th of September so look out for my review on me trying to drift. I will be contacting Kearney to get some info on Japfest, I forgot to mention it this week DOH Feel free to keep me up to speed on events or car clubs, anything that I could mention. my work email is: [email protected] my home email: [email protected] my mobile: 07880711113 work address: 415 Holywood rd, Belfast, BT42GU Or please by all means if your in the North buy the Daily Mirror on Friday and any positive comments I can pass onto my bosses so hopefully I can keep this going for a while or maybe even get a two pages instead of one. thanks for all the feedback, it's much appreciated
  12. Hi there I've gone NA-T and now my clutch is about to die so I'm after an uprated clutch for a 5-speed manual ie stage 3 - 6puk Something that would be good for about 400bhp as I have no plans to go higher than that bhp. I thought I'd post here first to see if anyone had one lying around before I buy one from America. thanks
  13. If you are going to break the NA-T kit up first dibs on the 'braided fule line'. Mine NA-T fue line has sprung a leak and I need to get new pipe made but your would be the exact size. thanks Daz
  14. Well said Scooter, With the amount I've spent on my NA-T I could have easily bought a good modified TT Supra but I like to put the car off the road over winter and get my hands dirty. There is loads of headaches as usual with car tuning but there is something to be said for doing something a little bit different and going against the grain. Check this out for a USA NA-T power reading.... 728BHP http://www.supraforums.com/forum/showthread.php?t=505654 ..not bad for a car that's not even a 'real Supra' aka TT Apparently running a stock 2jzge, stock head, stock intake manifold, stock distributer with a dli, a bolt on boost logic na-t kit with a DBB 71, aem and fuel, and a boost logic r154 conversion kit. Anyway just my thoughts as I love all Supra's and 2JZ's
  15. Hi Stuart, Just out of curiosity did you manage to get the NA-T kit sold? Last time I looked you were looking bids over £500.. bloody bargain I think. Just wondering if I was ever looking to upgrade or go more horsepower in the future would I need similar manifold for a bigger T70 turbo. How much power do you think that turbo of mine could handle. What bar of boost? assuming I have TT head gasket. Over winter I might opt for a TT head gasket and my mate is going to modify a TT inlet manifold with my N/A manifold so I can run TT thottle boddies. It would be nice to move the inlet away from the turbo. I expect it will get well hot in the summer although it never gets too hot here in Ireland.
  16. Excellent, if you get back to me with a total price including postage to N.Ireland BT635DZ then I'll most likely take it. Is Paypal ok as it's the easiest and safest way for me because of my location.
  17. Exhaust is sounding good then. Had had a Blitz Nur Spec R posted to me from England to N.Ireland for £25 so anything around that I'd be well chuffed. Got the Nur Spec pinched before I got to put it on that's why I need replacement. Don't suppose you know if the HKS Priest is loud or not. I have a Tanabe Hyper Medalion but it is very quiet so hoping the HKS is on par with the Nur Spec R.
  18. Is the back box the only stainless piece. If so what is the rest of the pipe like. Does it need any welding or do you think it would polish up? thanks
  19. Just seen the pix, is there HKS stamped on the tail pipe? How much to post to N./Ireland BT635WW
  20. Would like to see pix of that exhaust please as didn't have much look on google.
  21. hi all, I'm havin Co emmission problems with my NA-T and car has failed Mot. I know the car is running way to rich as I havn't had the ECU mapped properly but got a bit of a shock when I found out the Co is 10.75% vol and Mot should be 3.5% vol or under so it's over just a bit LOL. I am running 440cc injectors and an Emanage Blue ECU but can't get the Emanage to knock the Air flow back any. Has anybody succesfully used a Emanage Blue to take away Airflow. In the manual you put in a minus figure but we have tried but aren't getting the Co to drop any. We are thinking of putting the old injectors back in but it's just a bit of a nightmare having to re-wire in the old injectors and then re-wire the 440cc's back in after mot. If that's what need done then so be it but just thought I'd ask if anyone could shed any light on how to use the Emanage Blue correctly to adjust the fueling. thanks in advance.... Daz
  22. Top man Chris... thanks for your answer. I knew someone would know what I'm banging on about. I just found on the N/A-T forum this: "The GE has a brake booster check valve. Its installed on the large vac line between the intake and brake booster." But thanks for clarifying that I will be safe to use my N/A brake booster hoose. I'll sleep easy in my bed tonight thanks again.
  23. I found this on a Lexus forum so basically this is why I'm asking about the one way check valve and was wondering if the TT has the one-way check valve. quote: "I am guessing that you are concerned about this because you are considering boost options and you heard from someone that you need to put a one-way check valve on that hose if you run boost. If you add boost to an N/A car that doesn't have the check valve you can have two problems: 1; It becomes harder to brake when the engine is making boost. 2; The diaphram in the brake booster can blow out (get damaged) from the pressure."
  24. Hi guys Can anybody answer a question for me. Does the TT supra brake booster/servo hose (from the inlet to booster) have a one way valve inside the hose. The reason I ask is that I have done a N/A Turbo conversion and would like to upgrade the booster pipe if it does indeed have a one way valve in it. thanks in advance Darren
