ah well, you live and learn

    Help On Ice,

did you keep the Addzest ICE install as I'd be interested in knowing what model it was or seeing pix as I have a Addzest monitor I'd love to get the leads for.
  4. What addzest system is it. I bought for spares a Addzest NVA9400F but I also have a Clarion NAX9500E which is basically the same system. I could plug in the Addzest system and stick in my Sat Nav disc to see if it works on the Jap NVA9400F. To be honest the Clarion SAT NAV system doesn't work for my in Northern Ireland and I was trying to see if I could get a updated disc myself. I bought the Addzest system because it had a 7" screen but I can't get the leads for it to work. Let me know what Addzest system you have got and I will see if I can help you out.
  5. Excellent, I'll run this in my EVENTS ON THE HORIZON section in my Motoring column in Daily Mirror on Friday
  6. you see that's why you are the Events Organiser, no messing about.. I like it :-) I'm way to soft LOL
  7. Darragh, Dee just just PM'd me on the RMS site and this is what he said: "well let Darragh know he'll need to give me a ring or something to get it booked and be there on time this year lol" Maybe best to get a Supra stand organised soon as there seems to be a big interest in this already. I'll leave it in your capable hands if that's ok. It wouldn't be a proper Jap show woth a good show of Supra's and 2JZ's thanks Darren
  8. Your all right Darragh, I have been in touch with him throught the RMS forum, he had mentioned he was your mate. Will be good to have a Supra stand and all of us to be together this time. Hadn't realised this was father's day. That will have to be my father's day present then, to get to go to this show.
  9. NI Jap Show 2010 Venue - Junction1, Antrim. Date - Sunday 20th June Time - 11am- 6pm Entrance Fee - Donation to charity Seen this on RMS site might be good to organise Supra stand (Darragh) I'm going to do a report for the Daily Mirror. This should be good event and it's for charity too. See link http://www.reallymeansounds.com/forum/news-events/114978-ni-jap-show-2010-a.html
  10. Rollcall : 1. Supramkivcork 2. Suprababe! 3. GaryAfc 4. Chiefgroover 5: Supradaz: Daily Mirror
  11. I'd definatley come down or up, wherever to feature this, might not make it for 2 days but at least get down, take pix and get all the information to run a good piece on this. With a bit of luck I will be able to give this a really good show as I have 2 pages everyweek so more copy and more pix of Supras. Me biased......NEVER
  12. Just to confirm, my motoring column is for the Daily Mirror in Northern Ireland and I thought I had posted this in the 'IRELAND' section, maybe it was moved. I'd love to feature cars from England too but as it's only printed in Northern Ireland you'd not be able to buy the paper. I could cheat from time to time and run the odd Supra from England and not let on your not from here but don't want to dissapoint anyone if there car doesn't get featured. I'd also run the risk of upsetting my readers as I have loads of other makes and models of cars to feature too as well as the odd chav mobile. Maybe I should rename it 'READERS SUPRAS' and just run a Supra everyweek but as much as I'd love to do that I don't think I'd get away with it. thanks
  13. PM Marty "Bondango" off this forum as he runs the 'Supra Specialist Ireland' garage based in the North. No better guys to sort out your Supra than Marty or Colin. here is there website: http://www.ssi-performance.com/
  14. thanks mate, I will pen you in for some time early next year, I have a few others to go first, as much as I'd like to run a Supra every week it might not go down too well with other inferior car owners LOL
  15. Hi Guys, I started a READERS' CARS section in my column everyweek, see left hand side of this week's spread. I don't want to be running too many Chav cars so by all means if you want your Supra featured email me on [email protected] with a brief description of spec and a few jpeg photos of your car. I can't run a Supra everyweek but will male sure to get your car in asap. Next week I'm going with one of my mate's RX7's Here is this weeks spread:
  16. Ha ha, I'm not too bad, I'm just back from Scotland where Scottish Rally Champ David Bogie took me for a spin in his Evo IX rally car, that was a bit hairy on the gravel but looking forward to a GTR adrenaline rush, I'll bring clean underwear, just in-case LOL
  17. No probs that makes it easier for me then if I don't go through them although I can always mention in the copy that the amazing Nissan GTR is available to buy from Charles Hurst.. ass kiss, ass kiss. They have given me a few test dirves before so it's good to keep in with local dealers. I'm thinking of maybe runnig this the week before Christmas (18th December) as I have a free slot and we could meet up anytime before that then that gives me plenty of time to work on it. The problem I have is I work for the Sunday Mirror as my real job and I always work all day Saturday. Sunday, Monday or Tuesdays are my days off so if any of them suited you over the next few weeks that would be great. I'm in Londom training for four days next week so hopefully we could organise a day after that. Oh I'm at Top Gear Live on Sun 06th of Dec so that's that day out too. Have a flick through your diary and see when would suit you. Thanks for this Ernie.
  18. That sounds cool Ernie, I'd love a spin and if you had time for a quick interview as well that would be great. I will get onto the PR company who deal with Charles Hurst and see what they think of my idea to interview a GTR driver and your take on what it is like owning a GTR in the real world. If they let me have one for the day then that would make an amazing photo oppertunity but I'll be lucky if they let me go along and wash a GTR insted but we will see. When would suit you best, before or after Christmas? If you'd like to see your Supra in the Daily Mirror then I'll think of some feature to run. It is always good for me to have features on a backburner. Maybe when supramkivcork organises another Supra/Skyline weekend. But what car woud you prefere to bring to that. The GTR or your Supra, now that's one situation I'd love to find myself in LOL
  19. Thanks Mark will be nice in the new year to see some more events being planned as apart from Top Gear Live I've all but ran out of events to list. Please keep me informed of anything as I'd be glad to list it. Just my luck though if Ernie has sold the GTR. It's only a few months back he had it at Bishopscourt. Wonder why he sold it? but I still might go along to see Nissan and see if they'll give me a spin in one even if it's only as a passenger.
  20. Wow that was a blast from the past seems like ages ago since I did that page. You've missed a few good columns since then Ernie, did you see the one where I used a pix of your car? Bishopscourt when Mick Begley was there. I'm actually running two pages now everyweek. Here is the last two weeks in-case you missed them too. I was thinking of running a story on a Nissan GTR owner like yourself Ernie if you'd be interested. I was going to go to Nissan and ask for a test-drive but it would be a nice angle speaking to someone who has actually owned a GODZILLA for a while and how you have got on driving one on Irish roads. Plus you could take me for a spin to see how it really drives as you never really get a feel for a car if you only have a it for a few days. What do you think? Would you be up for an interview. I don't have to run a picture of you and can delete your number plates but might be an idea for a feature sometime in the new year. If your up for it I could approach Nissan and see what they can offer me. What Nissan dealership did you get yours from as I deal with a company who does the PR for Charles Hurst so would be handy if it was them. Anyway have a think about it and PM me back. thanks Darren
  21. Hi there, the aerial unit does it include the mast as that's the bit that's broken on mine. If so I'll take it delivered to N.Ireland(still UK) BT635DZ and pay with Paypal. thanks Darren
  22. Thanks Ernie (Chiefgroover) hope you didn't mind me using a pix of your car, I grabbed a couple of snaps just as I was leaving and you had just arrived. Hopefully next time I will get a chance to say hello. Would of loved to see your GTR having a go down the strip. Ha ha Jim your right my column picture is crap, I think I have a face for radio only LOL.
  23. Was a brilliant day and it stayed sunny all day too which helped. The Gaijin is an awsome machine and Mick Begley loves Ireland so he will defo be back soon. Actually Mark if you get a copy of the Irish Sunday Mirror this week I'm also running another page on Mick Begley and his attempt to be the fastest 4x4 driver on earth. Keep me posted if your planning any more events so I can run something on it.
  24. Hi there, here is a preview of my review on the Irish Drag Racing at Bishopscourt on Sunday. Will be available to by tomorrow(friday) morning in the Daily Mirror (N.Ireland ed only) Make sure to pick up your copy.. only 45p.. bargain after all my hard work. thanks Daz
