man, this thread is funny... That seth green parody, just plain wrong. The real thing I got about 15 seconds into and closed, I wasn't sure if it was a male or female (or both), and it sounded odd...

Working in computer repairs, the majority of the computers I repair are dell! Admittedly its typically down the user error, but it does frustrate me.
-
Really depends where you go and who you're mates with! Depends how much the re trim'd cost, because you CAN get a good full resparay for £1500. If you do most of the car stripping yourself, it costs less. Anyone remember the line from 2 fast 2 furious that those guys with the muscle cars make about the main characters cars? 'cereal box cars' Applicable? I think so!

Awww... Keep it up mate, you must be racking up the miles in that pissrat of yours!

Dont even go there. I dont have the belly Well insulted now!

How about this: Pay £2000 for it (obviously the sell would want more, but irrelevant) Spend £2000 on new paint job and getting it retrimmed, and you've got yourself a nice car for £4000. Cheap nice supra I reckon

Ironic or not its a sensible idea (when you've pretty much run out of places) to go to a discussion forum where people are (typically) very helpful. Of all the forums I go on, this is the one I'd get the biggest slatering on for ANY mistake, go check VZi, retro rides, saab forums etc. Look at the first reply he got, thats the sort of reply he should get. Something helpful. You've said what you wanted to, so now p*** off and be unhelpful elsewhere. He's sorted now, thanks to another member of the forum. Oh and, I dont just pop back for these little digs, I just dont postthat often

Good old bloke CJ, haven't seen him since he dropped a bunch of stuff off at our work, glad we got to say bye properly, and glad to hear he's doing well! If you get the chance, pass all of our regards onto him and tell him to swim more so he doesn't get fatter

Its nice, I'll say that. Not sure where'd I'd put it on the price scale tbh, its a really awkward subject. Personal opinion, I'd say yes, its too cheap for a facelift.

gotta echo everyone else, great apart from light covers! Lovely blue, would like to see a supra in that sort of blue, but satin finish. get the URl and put before it and after it...

Potentially, yes, but it'd take a LOT of work. Comparison for me is the rear lights on the latest aristo. Only seen one good example, personally I'd want to plate them over. Thats how much I dislike the shape of that lexus. And to think it is meant to be a replacement for the old soarer...

Tbh the ONLY thing you can do is return it to the manufacturer... Thats the biggest annoyance with modern electronics, they cant be worked on.
-
I reckon thats the card you want... But I also know you can buy them from our website (as a computer shop, not a dead cheap interney shop) for about £100 inc p&p, which GUARANTEE'S you'll find them cheaper than that... Depends on make, but get the 512mb one.

Wasn't the bloke who did 150 odd in Scotland (he wasn't in England anyway)? Stricter rules for that up there... And its a lie, the fastest caught motorist was a motorcyclist doing over 180mph! That was quite a long time ago I think. I've done a ton and 8 once, and damn, that was scary. Maybe that was because it was a car that was designed to be driven at 85 tops

I was about to ask how old you were! lol, have you tried getting a quote with sky insurance too, since they are the official sponsors of the forum? They quoted me £2300 with induction kit and exhaust on a j-spec N/A. To which I thought no-siree! Will be looking around a lot more when I actually go to buy a car. What no claims have you got? Welcome and nice supra mate! -
Tell me where in that I said 'randomly' I didn't, its a predictable box and if you're driving right, as you said, you know where and when it drops down. I personally just hate not having control of it all... Thats by biggest reason, and I realise thats 100% personal taste, I just cant stand not being able to do it myself. And say what you like about the manual selection on the auto, its just never going to be quite the same.

Nice to see I'm agreed with . Its the best AGP card out there for definite, and the only thing I'm put off with using it on PCI-E is the fact its not dx10, if only they had a decent mid range dx10 card. Faster than the 8600/2600, but cheaper than the 8800/2900. I'd still rather it over a 8600 even if it is dx10. Had this discussion with a mate this morning!

Been there done that (not posing as a couple though). Went to school in Woodstock, so we've been there plenty of times, fun runs etc. Lovely large grounds, MILES of walking if thats what you like. They've got an adventure area, a maze, butterfly house on top of the palace itself, can be good fun if you go with the right person/people. As said, best off staying in Woodstock, it will NOT be cheap though. If you've got an idea what you're doing and where you're going, it'd be cheaper to go for a b&b in a different village.

if you spend less that £500+ then yes... They're heavier for a start. And on top of that you get bob which basically means that the suspension soaks up the effort you're putting into cycling. Bad news if you have a steep hill to go up for example. Imagine standing up and sprinting on it and all the power goes down and through the suspension, you end up bouncing along. More expensive bikes can come with a lockout, you flick a switch and the rear sus stiffens up. You still have the added weight, but no bob. No point in having a full sus bike for purely on road cycling though. I'd get a city style bike. Cross between mountain bike style frame etc with v brakes, skinnier wheels, low rolling resistance tyres. If you want front suspension, post up on here and we'll say whats good or not. But I wouldn't bother for your budget. And yes, go second hand, not halfruads.... Or if you want new and have a local proper cycle shop, go there, at least for advice.

I maintain if you can find a x1950 (any model) they are the best you'll get before you go to directx 10.

Kinda depends on how good a driver you are, how good your timing is...etc. Essentially for the manual to beat the auto I think everyone will agree you have to be pretty much PERFECT on takeoff and shifting, which is damned tricky. Not that I own a supra Personally I'd go manual, I've not driven either, but I've been in both, and I intensely dislike the way it drops you down in an auto, the engine noise of an auto and not being able to select what gear you drop into, or if you want to drop up for cruising so you use less fuel. Personal opinion...

Well done mate, as said, what sort of insurance quotes are you getting? I'm looking at getting a supra too when I hit 20 (not long now!), hence the curiosity. Also, who with? And whats happening to the MR2 then? -
who cares, it still makes me (us) chuckle...
