  1. Yeah either that or long arms / fast legs
  2. If I remeber rightly (after having had it fitted to mine) it's re-valved konis with custom springs, and as nick says it really is the dogs. Check out my reviev ( search time ) for a low down on it.

    Brakes

I've got the Chris Wilson road pads in (uk brakes) and find them absoloutley fine from cold and the squeeling isn't too bad at all, in fact sometimes there's none.
  4. If you do give them a call ask for Giles, he's a sound guy and can talk the hind legs off anything re turbos !, it's what he works with all day long (and has done for years) he knows his stuff.
  5. Superchargedtt: Just had a look and found a credit note they did me for 5% as the units were a little late, it's for £72.50 + vat so working backwards from that (easy to do when you are a bit backwards like me !) they were £1450 + vat and yeah steve that was on an exchange basis for the pair which were stock apart from being shagged (especially no 2). Give a great kick up the arse especially in this cool weather, can't wait to get some cash in to replace my Cadbury Flake esq Intercooler . Turbo Technics 01604 705050.
  6. Steve, mine were also done by Turbo Technics. Give them a call and ask for Gavin, he knows his stuff and's a friendly bloke too. Without digging out the bill I seem to remember mine being aroud 1500 quid which I didn't think was too bad (inc 2yr guarantee).
  7. I went for the hybrids when mine went (turbo technics) and have to say I'm well happy with them, are you sure it's the turbos though and not valve seals ?.

    Induction Kit

Hi Mark, I'm far from an expert on these things but I'd have thought your first and most effective mod to achieve what you're looking for (nice noise) with the added benefit of a bit more go would be a nice new exhaust system, I'm sure some of the other N/A guys on here will be able to confirm either way.
  9. Steve, I too can vouch for the quality of this kit, If I was only able to keep one of all the mods I've had done to my car this would be the one no doubt about it. I've got a review of it up on here somewhere if you search my previous posts.
  10. Yep that's them, the two with the grey bits on them running next to the whiteish hose.
  11. If it's a case of it's gradually lost performance it could be down to a blocked heater matrix as a few peoples including mine have blocked, do a search to find out how to unblock it.
  12. Bolts- When these work lose the car handles (unsurprisingly really ) like an absoloute nightmare, front and rears worked lose on mine and on throttle it felt ok, however as soon as you backed off the car "crabbed" really badly, kind of felt like you were moving fwds with the body of the car twisted a few degrees off centre, which come to think of it....it probably was !!
  13. Hmmm' this is of interest to me as after having my last set of pads fitted they not only "Clonked" (a word which incedentley describes the noise perfectly) but also rattle to the extent that on a bumpy road my car sounds like a milkfloat !, think I'll check out those retainers pretty damn sharpish !!.
  14. Sorry to have not seen your p.m earlier. Glad to hear you got it sorted mate, it's gonna be cold again b4 you know it !, amazing how much crap come out of 'em innit. You'll soon know if it's knacked as the passenger footwell will get wet.
  15. Mine also does it but it's by no means just a knock, it rattles that much it sounds like a milk float doing 80 oner cobbles !. Stops well though .
  16. Turbo Technics hybrided (if that's the right word) mine for me for a fair price and a two year guarentee. You can get them on 01604 705050, ask for Giles he's helpfull, realistic about time schedules and even rang me several weeks after I'd got them back to check that I was happy with everything. Excellent product with top customer service, recomended.
  17. If it does turn out you've discovered the life expectancy of uk turbos at 105k then it'd seem I was robbed of 6k !!.
  18. The second turbo went on mine and Turbo Technics did me a pair of hybrids for around £1500. You can get hold of them on 01604 705050. Ask for Giles he knows his stuff and has done a few Supras now, the increase in performance is really good in my opinion.
  19. Chris Wilson fitted one to my car, it might be best to double check with him but I'm sure he said it only took an hour. It does as others have confirmed have an audioable and on the visual side of things the backlight turns from green to red, all in all a nice piece of kit. Got mine from Paul Whiffin.
  20. Alan, I recently had Chris fit his suspension to my car and can vouch for it. I put a review of it on here a little while ago if you want to do a search for it. I've also been toying with the idea of buying some Blitz Technospeeds (my stock wheels are in a real state) and having read what Chris says regarding them working well with his suspension I'm now more tempted than ever, wonder if we could haggle a discount on 2 sets ?, let me know if you're interested.
  21. HI Jast, Chris fitted one of the same guages to mine in the clock space it it does fit nicely, however at the same time he also fitted a Blitz Dual DC turbo timer (follow the link @ http://www.racelogic.co.uk for full specs and pics). I've mounted mine on top of the steering colomn where it's as easy to see as my speedo, It shows current boost, peak boost and has audioble / visual user setable boost limit warning. It's got a load of other features (turbo timer lap timer etc etc) looks nice and gives a good accurate boost reading (checked against the mechanical guage). All in all a nice piece of kit well priced with some usefull safety features. Recomended. P.S whilst the pictures don't show it, it's also available in black which makes it more discreet when fitted.
  22. Hi there Jast, just to back up gazwalkers comments on Chris Wilson, he really is an top guy to deal with. My car was handling like a pig (and a pissed one at that), I had Chris's own custom supension and settings fitted and some other bits and pieces done to the car and to say he's sorted it out would be an understatement, If you search my previous posts you'll find a sumary of it now. I've also had him fit one of the boost guages he mentioned and it does the job just fine.
  23. Andrew, sounds like you also have the same problem as I did, follow the procedure as listed and it should sort out the problem. Trust me it's one of the most satisfying fix's I've ever carried out on a car, it made a massive difference. Before After:flame Dev .
  24. Terry, sounds very similar to the problem I had with mine, both pipes (to and from the matrix) had hot water in them but a partial blockage in the matrix itself was severley restricting the flow of water through it resulting in a cool core temprature. Try removing the pipes and blowing in the opposite direction to the regular flow (cheers Steve W), when I did this on mine at first there was a lot of resistance which gradually got less and less. I then flushed the matrix out with rad flush (reverse flow again), a whole load of s**t came out and there was then hardly any resistance to flow at all. Job done and heating restored to it's former (and excellent) glory.
