Literally on the edge of my seat towards the end of that, fantastic. Good on Marco Malandri too !.

Get a TiVo !!, I've lost count the amount of times I've been down the pub and realised I've forgotten to record something only to get home and find it remembered I like that kind of program and recoreded it, superb piece of kit .

Like it says in the title the first race of the 2005 Moto GP series which kicks off today from Jerez in Spain. Can Rossi Sucsesfully defend his title or will Honda strike back with vengance ?!. God knows but if you want to seee some decent racing from guys wtih balls the size of space hoppers on 250hp (ish) bikes then coverage is on Eurosport now, think the 1000s are on around 1pm.

Water injection should help things.
-
Any new on this yet please Chris (fitted price if possible) ?.

By all means get them refurbed (hybrid or to stock is your choice, personally I'm v happy with hybrids) but I shouldn't bother putting the cat back in as it will make no difference to the longevity your new ones as long as everything else is set up ok. I notice you're car is a UK spec have you checked the condition of your intercooler as many UK cars ones are pretty much knackered now, mine's in appauling condition (soon to be changed). Also if it's the one I'm thinking of the Blitz induction kits are supposed to have pretty poor filtration qualitys, not what you need on a turbo'd engine.
-
Oh my god, whatever you do don't go asking if hybrids are a good idea !!, look what this poor guy started http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=35442

Sounds like you're in pretty much the same situation I was in when mine went. At the time I too didn't have a clue what to go for or where get it done either. All I can say is that if you do go for either a rebuild to standard form or hybrid then Turbo Technics were helpful and gave a two year guarantee on their work which in the end was one of the deciding factors for me.

I had my Uk Turbos "hybrided !!" (if that's the word ) by Turbo Technics when they went and personally love them. Met up with Mcanny one night for him to see what they were like and he posted his thoughts on them here : http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=17273&highlight=womble As has already been stated you'll be fine with your stock injectors and fuel pump but if your UK intercooler is in anything like the condition of mine and many others (i.e fecked) it'd be a good idea to sort it out, water injection won't do any harm either.

Fair comment may not be needed on a J spec, pretty sure the restrictor ring will be though.

As far as I've gathered from my time on here the N/As are pretty rock solid, looks like a nice car. The only one thing to bear in mind (and that's if it's of relavance to you) is that other than a De-cat there's not a great deal you can do to make them quicker and that TTs are available for not alot more cash.

Hello and welcome . How's that for a quick response eh !!! Most common 1st upgrade is a full de cat and a fuel cut cutter which'll allow you to run more boost (a simple bleed valve will do the trick there) also with your car being jap spec you'll probably have to invest in a restrictor ring so as you don't over boost. Chris Wilson (search on here for him) sells these. Make of exhaust is a kind of personal thing as from what I can gather with the mod's I've mentioned the biggest difference you're going to get out of any of them will be noise related more than performance. Personally I went for a HKS Super Dragger as it's not silly loud (sounds soooo much nicer that stock though) and fits quite closely to the underside of the car so clearence isn't an issue either. Hope this helps .

Ok here are the part numbers of the Lexmark cartridges that fit this machine (with a little help as per Mcannys post). Blk 10N0016 (410 page life) Col 10N0026 (275 page life, yeah right !!).

Looks like our cars are pretty similar spec wise. I'll be getting a CW intercooler fitted in a few weeks too. Did it feel much different after having your (intercooler) fitted ?.

Last I heard was that both of the projected replacment formats for DVD (those being HD DVD and Blu-Ray) have settled on their resolution which at 1920x1080 (gulp !!) give you some kind of idea as to the increase in qaulity we can expect from HD formats when compared to our (50 yearish old) Pal format which if I remember rightly is 576 X 720.

You assume correctly. I think it was What Hi FI (Sound and Vision) magazine just last month reported that out of over 100 Plasmas on sale in UK shops only that they enquired about only 6 !! were HDTV compatable and that none !!! of the sales people even mentioned it to them. The standard has been completly settled by manufactyrers since 1999 broadcst across Japan for the last 10 years and is rapidly becoming the norm in America too where ABC, CBC, FOX etc etc all broadcast films in widescreen with Dolby digital soundtracks too. Personally I'd do a bit of reading up on the subject just to get familiar before going to a decent dealer (I've used Seven Oakes a few times and found them to be helpful) and demoing a few set ups there. I did this a couple of years ago and ended up coming away not with a Plasma as I'd originall gone to view / buy but with a Projector which is fantastic. http://www.sevenoakssoundandvision.co.uk/ Oh and for anyone that's seen those ads for cheep plasmas and been tempted, beware !! http://www.avforums.com/forums/showthread.php?t=185630&page=1&pp=15

I'm sure that if you were to offer to pay for the fuel / ferry across, a night or two on the town in Germany and a flight home that somone on here would be more than happy to help you out and at least you'd have someone who's used to driving a Supra in charge of your new pride and joy. Surely that would work out far cheaper.
-
What ever you go for do check that it's HDTV compatible. Sky are set to start broadcasting in HD late 2005 early 2006 and the difference is supposed to be amazing.

You will get extra power with a bleed valve but only to an extent. What you could do with is a full de-cat (ie both of them) and an exhaust. With it being a UK car your fueling will also be ok and you can also fit a F.C.C (Pete Betts) to stop you getting fuel cut at 1 bar. You'll get alot more than "a bit" more power it'll sound great and your turbos will spool up quicker too .

Got to agree with with the people that have pointed you in the direction of AV Forums, great site with plenty of people in the know that are equally helpful. As far as I know regular CRT sets still offer the best picture / £ ratio but let's face it just aint a touch on either LCD's or Plasmas looks wise which when hung on a wall not only look superb but also take up far less room. Don't know how much of an issue screen size is but if you're after something really impressive and enjoy watching films then personally I'd take a look at one of the many projectors availabe. I've got one in my front room and with a 14ft throw (projector to screen) I get a fantastic quality 7ft wide picture. Once again check out AV forums for datails on these.

Yeah I took a trip down there yesterday with the friend of mine that brought it to my attention. Not a pretty sight .

It is / was an auto.

Ok vultures here we go http://www.cityautosalvage.co.uk . The complete engine (tubos and all) is sold and the wheels are smashed, the dash has also been smashed to bits / is missing but the glove box lid is still in the car and in good nick. The drivers side headlamp (glass) is full of condensation but the passenger side looked ok. Any other details wanted give them a call and ask for Jazz (seemed pretty sound) or ask me and I'll tell you what I can remember. Looked like it was a well cared for / very clean car before some t**t decided it was his to take, bastard.
-
As the title says does anyone on here know who's this car was as it's in a breakers and I'd like to know a bit about it if possible. Oh and if you are the owner I hope you came out of the smash ok, looks like it was quite an impact.
