What a year it's been! I felt after everything we have been through I should organise another Dragoncol run. This is a very cut down version of Dragonball where we all meet up on a Saturday morning, drive down through Wales and stay in a hotel Saturday night for a few drinks and some food. The date for this is Saturday 25th September 2021. On the Saturday we will be starting in Hereford at the Premier Inn Hereford Holmer Road. Leaving at 9.30am we will drive to Elan Valley reservoir, then down through the Brecons and hills of Wales stopping on the A4059 where we had the Top Gear shoot a few years back, then on to the Bwlch mountain car park and then finally on to the M4 and out to the hotel in Bristol. I have booked in to the Premier Inn Hereford Holmer Road for the night of Friday 24th September so you are all welcome to book in too. Burna and Darren are already booked so there's a full on party on its own! The hotel for the night of Saturday 25th September is Mollies Cribbs Causeway Bristol. Brand new hotel with an american diner attached. We have a reduced room rate of £75 per night vs the normal £90 a night. To book in to this hotel please email [email protected] letting him know you are with the John's Supra Party and he will book you in and send you a link to pay. If you wish to just come along for the drive or part of the drive please do, if you want to book in to one or both hotels please do! Its a very relaxed run so the more the merrier and any car is welcome. There will be google and TomTom routes based on the attached route once I have finalised it all. so....who's in?

always happy to have an argument on the internet. First one is in the for sale section and contains details of all the mods to the car which I didnt want to have to go through in order to meet the rules for a for-sale advert second one is a newbie chancing his arm in the suprachat section third one also contains the spec of the car and is in the chat section. I wasnt interested in asking for a guide price as the second and third link were, I was interested in seeing who wanted to buy it. the forum is a lot quieter than it was before so maybe I should take it as a chance to close the doors and you can all go to Facebook and be picky there instead!
-
As I say, it was purely gauging interest (hence why I didnt post in the for sale section here). It is a very unique car so the right buyer might be out there but the lack of interest shows me it would need a lot more time and effort to get it sold for that price!
-
The car was posted to social media to gauge interest. Ironically our own rules about for sale adverts on the forum means that I would have had to spend time detailing everything about the car along with pictures and cover the entire history of it. So rather than waste time doing that I decided to gauge interest. Of which there was none. The car will never be loaned out again as the risk of damage is too high now. Ellis looked after it for me after it was handed back by Goblin Works and it may go to him to be garaged but that will be it.

the picture in my gallery of the black car is a UK spec, sold it many years ago and forgot the picture was still in there!
-
I recently had my TTE wheels refurbished to black with a silver rim which I think works quite nicely. Yours should sell fairly easily as they are a good fitment for the supras

I have loads from the events in the 2000s on my old gaming rig at the kids house. I will dig those out too!

another highlight video from a Dragonball. Cant wait to get back in to Europe next year for another one! Belgium here we come! Dragonball21 The return of the Spa

The wrap is holding up well to be honest, its a good wrap and was well fitted so I hope to get another year out of it yet, and probably change it for 2023 for the 30th Anniversary of the supra being launched. I may take a look at the air cups if they work that well. I didnt want to put it on bags as I like how it handles at the moment!

it is, it runs right along the wheel arch but the arch liners and proper sized wheels usually protect it. The goblin has no arch liners and 20" wheels on a widebody kit so it basically rubs everything especially when it was set so low. It looked amazing that low but couldnt even get over a reasonable speed bump. I had to reverse it out of a car park once otherwise it would have got beached on a speed bump. Its been raised up now and can get over most speed bumps.

Thanks Matt. I will certainly have a chat with him. We ran a thing called DragonCol back in 2013 I think it was which was in memory or CJ who passed away with cancer so I have those routes saved up already but will tweak them as its been 10 years of learning about how best to route things. Would be great to see everybody on DB this year. For the 21st Anniversary we are going back to Brussels and Spa for the real Dragonball as that was the one we all remember the most.
-
Once the car was handed over it became my responsibility. I didnt pay for Goblin Works to do any of the work on the car so there was no contract as such. I think if they had fitted the kit before they would have known what to look out for, widebody cars generally have to have the ECU wiring tucked out the way.

At the moment I'm holding off organising anything until I see what the government do next. the plan is to do a Wales Dragonball at the end of September, starting in Shrewsbury, going down through to Elan Valley, across the Brecons via the Top Gear road and then staying in either the Celtic Manor (if they are doing cheap rooms) or drive to the Holiday Inn just outside Bristol for a bit of an evening party. We may also put in a trip to Whifbitz in the plan if I can work it all out. But I dont want to organise anything yet until I know we are allowed to travel and meet up!

thought it was worth doing an update on this! So the car is still hilarious to drive, I've never had so much attention when out and about. Its had some serious issues with the ECU loom rubbing against the wheels which has caused the car a few problems to say the least. Those are all fixed now and its back to running properly! We had to raise the BC Coilovers a touch to avoid it rubbing the arch and to allow it over speed bumps. The rear spoiler struts were fitted in such a way that the water runs down in to the motor and so one has siezed and I'm trying to source another. It is great fun to drive and I hope to get it to a few meets this year. Not sure I will take it on Dragonball next year but we shall see. I know it's not what we would have chosen to do to a Supra, but it gets attention and thats what we wanted!

It's great to see everybody back again. Hows the new milkfloat going?

Hi Faye, I had forgotten about the Sham runs through London. Shame we cant do that any more as the Supras have to pay ULEZ charges just to get in to London! Great to hear its all going well with Keith!

morning all, This year was supposed to be a big celebration of the 20th Anniversary of the club! It was founded on 11th April 2001 after a group of us met up at Santa Pod to discuss breaking away from supras.co.uk! For the 10th Anniversary we did a huge number of amazing events. We even brought Dragonball back and drove to Lille in France, we hired Santa Pod, we went karting and the list goes on! Here is a video done by Scott to show what we did the plan was to do the same this year but that was all wrecked due to somebody eating bat a l'orange and wiping out 12 months from our lives! What memories does everybody have from the last 20 years, what was the biggest highlight? And dont forget, its the 21st Anniversary of the club next year so we can celebrate that instead!

it might have just been a ploy to get everybody back on the forum!

Dragonball 2020 - Disneyland Paris May 14th to May 17th

Trying to get flexibility on eurotunnel is always tricky. If you rock up after the departure time they will try to get you on the next one but burna found a few years back that could be a 10pm train. -
Afternoon all Sorry for the delay in announcing this. Been a busy few months with the new job! It’s is official, we are going to Disneyland Paris for dragonball 2020. We have a Disney hotel booked on the outskirts of the Disney resort. Full parking, swimming pool, shuttle bus to Disney but far enough out to not be ruinously expensive. It’s is many miles outside Paris for those concerned about being too close to the capital city of France, but also has a high speed train in to Paris for those who fancy a bit of culture on the Saturday. Or it’s also on top of Disney resort for those who need to see mickey and goofy on the Saturday. Spaces will be strictly limited to 20 so when tickets go on sale don’t hang about as this one will be booking fast! First set of tickets go on sale on Saturday 15th February, second set on Friday 21st February It will cost a little more this year due to it being Disney but it will be worth it as we are going back to lower mileage, earlier lunches and less motorway miles. Full thread in events shortly, this is the discussion thread.

thanks, Christmas is coming so I will get that on the list!

Why have mk4 supras not been on "wheeler dealers" etc.?
Branners replied to herbiemercman's topic in Supra Chat
Ellis is still working on the club branding for the car, it will be the forum in big letters in various places on the car and a link to the Facebook in small letters on the front wing.
