  1. PM'd. Yep, took an hour to get a deposit and then full asking price on collection!! To say I'm gutted is an understatement, but I'll get another one when I've got a house and am comfortably back on my feet.
  2. OK. PM'd you back about the BC too. So CLOCK, PLUGS and BOOST CONTROLLER provisionally sold pending payment.
  3. I've recently sold my baby and have some parts that I've collected up but didn't fit in the end. All prices are + P&P. Genuine OEM facelift rear spats. In 199 silver, used in good condition. Couple of small paint runs down low. £80 SOLD Genuine OEM sideskirts. Used and not in great condition. There are a few cracks at the front ends that I started prepping for repair then lost interest after having a change of heart about fitting them. The marks you can see along the bottom side are not cracks, just scratches. Collection only on these as I can't see them traveling well. £120 as they are or £220 repaired SOLD HKS 2nd decat. Used but in A1 condition and painted with hi-temp paint. £80 SOLD Shonky home made 1st decat. I got it thrown in with something else I bought. Didn't fancy fitting it to my car but I guess it'd do the job at a push. FREE Just cover postage. Stainless restrictor ring (52mm) £10 HKS FCD. Used. £40 SOLD Facelift interior clock. Perfect condition and working order. £20 SOLD Blitz Dual SBC. Used but unfortunately the wiring and boost solenoid is missing. Gauge only left. £50 Set of 6 colder grade NGK R plugs (BKR7E) Brand new. £10 SOLD 2L of V160 gear oil. £50 SOLD ***************************** New parts: A'PEXi power intake. Brand new. 4. SOLD. Charn123 has just been and collected the car. Was stunned at the condition as I knew he would be. Can't believe I've done it. I'll be back just as soon as I can!
  5. Your car looked stunning! Saw you at the beginning of the night at the services but lost you. I couldn't find the forum bunch. :o(
  6. I saw you guys at various points during the night but always going in the opposite direction so couldn't join you! thought I'd go along to the run as a last drive before the car goes but I have to say, I was a little disappointed. It's the 1st time I've been, the 1st 2 hours or so was literally bumper to bumper traffic until the London Eye, then after that when we got going there were speed cameras everywhere and in every tunnel. Most of them average cameras at 20mph. There are going tone a lot of tickets going out as there were so many people hooning though them! Got a bit bored after crawling through like 2 tunnels at 20mph/30mph in 1st gear!! Lol. Still, the experience of being part of 400 odd Jap cars streaming through central London was worth it. Never again though.
  7. The guy who bought the car is called Charn but he rang me so I don't know what his username is. Just wandered if it was you, but clearly not!
  8. Just ordered my new iPad! Excited much!!
  9. Ah yes, gunmetal, that's the one! Keep me in mind...I would consider an NA aero for some Supra fun! Lol.
  10. Cheers mate. Hopefully ending up with a nice pad, with a nice garage to keep another nice Supra in will be the end game! I'll keep an eye on here for when you sell the RSP! Might coincide with me being in the position for another again! Talking of the RSP...how's it coming along? I've still not spotted any photos!? Are you Charn??
  11. Yep, going to the London area. Hopefully that's far enough away for me not to see it on the road!! Though I do hope the new owner will keep any updates coming on this forum!
  12. I should've asked more ay! It was only advertised here so I guess he must be a member. I am actually genuinely gutted and am pretty sure I'll be fighting back the tears when it goes, but I will definitely be back to the fold in 18months or so. Just as soon as I've got a house sorted and am back on my feet. I'm pretty sure I won't find another like this though.
  13. Deposit taken. Sold pending collection and full payment.
  14. Well, with a VERY heavy heart, I am offering my Supra for sale. I’ve wanted one of these since I can remember and in May last year, the opportunity arose! However, now the girlfriend and I are trying our best to get onto the property ladder (the first rung on which seems increasingly high!) I’m going to have to sacrifice my pride and joy! I’d really hoped I could get away without having to sell up, but it just doesn’t seem possible! So, the car. As per the title, it’s a 1996 Facelift - Jspec Twin Turbo - 6 speed manual which was imported in 1997 with less than 5000kms. The odo, which still runs in kms and has NEVER been converted, now reads 120800kms (75061 miles) which will increase slightly as I’m still enjoying my toy when I can. The bodywork is finished in 199 silver and is totally original. THIS CAR HAS NEVER SEEN A BODYSHOP! It’s near mint with amazing reflections since I’ve fully detailed it and then kept it looking it’s best with subsequent coats of wax. On the inside there is full black leather interior which has also been well cared for having been treated and conditioned with Gliptone. Of course there is also the facelift black carpets and headlining. The car was virtually stock when I bought it and I have made a few small choice modifications but nothing at all major. There is a full Toyota service history from the 1st owner (1997-2009), 2nd owner (05/2009-05/2011) was Scooter on this forum who looked after the car himself and I've subsequently taken care of it since. There are very few Jspecs out there with any history at all let alone one like this. Tax runs until the end of March and the MOT expires 11/11/2012. ==================================================================================================================================================== Tuning Stock engine run at stock boost levels all it's life Blitz Sonic Power air filter (Airbox available) 3" Motoria cat back exhaust 255 ltr/hr Walbro fuel pump ==================================================================================================================================================== Suspension/wheels Yellow Bilstien shocks - like new Eibach Pro Lowering springs - like new Genuine and original 18" BBS CH staggered fit wheels (8.5J with 245/40 front & 9.5J with 275/40 rear) - some small marking but look LOVELY and all tyres in good condition Freshly refurbished and rebuilt UK spec brakes all round with Chris Wilson fast road pads ==================================================================================================================================================== Body Stock and original with black front lip and plastics all present and correct 4300k HID dipped beams (stock bulbs and holders available) CREE LED sidelights and rear number plate lights ==================================================================================================================================================== Interior Immaculate throughout! Me: No service items have been required in my ownership, though an oil & filter change is due which I will try and get done before I part with this awesome car. All other work listed above has been carried out by me with the exception of the fuel pump and Bilstien shocks. ==================================================================================================================================================== Points to note Some marking in the rear number plate recess where someone has had too large a plate fitted in the past A scuff on lower part of the front bumper, just above the lip Very small bubble on the OSR arch (been there since I've had the car and not got any worse) I am very fussy with the appearance of my car and these points have never bothered me. I really don't feel they detract from the look of the car and certainly don't warrant being painted for the first time since leaving the factory! ==================================================================================================================================================== To recap then, here is IMHO, one of the best examples of a Supra in one of the most desirable formats. It drives exactly as it should and turns so many heads. I will be genuinely gutted to see it drive away from me but needs must! Take a look here for an overview of what I've done during my ownership. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?252204-My-facelift-TT6-%28Updates!%29 I'll get some exterior photos up ASAP. I didn't mean to post this yet, just draft it but clicked submit instead of preview so I'm not fully prepared on the photos! Asking price is £10,000. Anything I've missed or any questions, don't hesitate to ask. 07824632799 or [email protected] or just PM!
  15. If you've emptied the system of fluid, there's you're problem! You will have air in the ABS pump which is virtually impossible to bleed out. Chances are, you'll need to find somewhere with a bit of kit that cycles the pump to force the air out. The following few paragraphs are copied from here: http://www.popularmechanics.com/cars/how-to/maintenance/4213448 Antilock braking systems are even less tolerant of contaminated fluid and air than non-ABS. The ABS hydraulic pump operates at several thousand psi, forcing brake fluid through very small valves. This can whip air and brake fluid into something like the foam on a latte, which makes bleeding difficult. Those same valves and pump can easily be damaged by tiny abrasive particles. The good news: Air that has entered the ABS controller can be bled out. Bad news: Some vehicles require the use of a hideously expensive proprietary ABS scan tool to cycle the pump and valves to purge the last of the air. But there's a simple solution to that: Never let any air enter the system. You can flush a system with fresh fluid by using nothing more than a wrench that fits the bleeder bolts -- and a helper with a normal attention span. 16. I use the CYC DA and am very impressed with it. Yes, you can get results quicker with a rotary (I used to use a Clarke one from Machine Mart) but it's easier to sling product everywhere if you're not careful, you'll shred a pad if you catch it and of course, you do run the risk of burning the paint. To be fair though, I think people do over exaggerate the risks. You have to go some to burn the paint.
  17. Snapped a couple of photos on my iPhone before I went to work this morning. I can't remember the quoted drops front and rear (-34mm front -28mm rear rings a bell) but it never drops the quoted amount anyway so I'd take it with a pinch of salt. IMO, it sits perfectly. Too high and it looks like a Land Cruiser, too low and you spend your life scraping your splitter / skirts / exhaust etc. and that's not a cool look!! This is how it sat pre-lowering...urgh!
  18. I'll take some more side on photos tomorrow get get them up. I do really like the way the car sits (and rides) on the Eibachs. Just about perfect IMO.
  19. I've just fitted Eibach Pros onto yellow Bilstiens on my JDM TT. Sits a lot nicer than the Teins IMO. Not the most flattering angle. Can post a better one tomorrow if needed.
  20. I know the feeling. Mine was hanging by the time I got home. Washed it, used it last night, minging again!! I hate this time of year!
  21. Ha ha, OK, I'll make sure I don't take so many next time.
  22. Yay!! All my locals are doing it! Damn...filled the Supra up on Sunday!
