When mine was in a local bodyshop, none of the guys would drive it as they were too scared of it. I was most suprised! The foreman had to drive it 2 miles to the Toyota garage and back and moaned and moaned and moaned about having to take it as he was worried something would happen to it. I did wonder if they thought it was worth a lot of money or something lol..

It's got to be a Landcruiser surely? That ticks all the boxes quite nicely. The newer ML's are better, but they still don't have a fantastic reliability record. I'm not sure when the point of change over is either?

Blimey mate, lucky escape. I think you were mad overtaking there on that road in this weather though to be honest, sorry. That road is lethal at the best of times, it's always slippery. And that bridge is on a crest so can be quite blind too. Be a good learning experience though eh, hope you feel better soon.

Isn't that against the law anyway, reversing on to a public highway? Agree on the rest though. I think this is generally a sign of society and the way it has gone or is heading. People in general just don't care any more, everybody is becomming selfish and self-centred, intent only on themselves being 'ok'. Peoples driving standards really annoy me, I do my best to drive at a sensible distance away from people, indicate my intentions, get on the side of a junction I need to be (this winds me up, people turning right but so far left you could get another car up their outside), be polite and acknowledge other people. Even as a pedestrian, saying thanks to people who stop on crossings. The little things go a long way..

Could be a knackered dump valve. Have you got silicon hoses? Could be a split on one, as they're not always visible but will push open under boost and cause a sound.

My experience is the opposite to yours, I didn't like my standard seats at all (standard UK leathers) as they gave me back ache, also as they were shallow sides they didn't hold me in very well. I've got Recaro SR's now (same as OEM) and I find them a lot better, I can drive the car any distance and not have back ache at all. I'm quite a big bloke though, 6' and 16 stone.

I bought a 'normal' car to get in every day, and all it does is bloody break down. Stick with the Supra! And no, like I said my girlfriends GT-Four is a pig and has gone very very wrong in the last year. Suspension twice, fuel tank, exhaust, spoiler broke, it's now blown a gasket too.. the list goes on!

Rattle could be the standard flywheel too if it is on the way out. Being dual mass it can cause strange symptoms. Best to inspect it on the clutch change or just change it anyway.

It'll need to be a very large external drive though, proper TV-quality video clips take up a lot of space!
