  1. Hi Everybody, My car failed it's MOT on a front brake hose leaking so I thought it would be the ideal oppertunity to upgrade to Goodridge hoses. I've tried doing the offending hose first, but I'm unable to get the hose to tighten up properly. As tight as I dare do it it still leaks when you press on the brake pedal. I've searched and read the posts about filing the hard pipe nut down but this seems to refer to it not fitting inside the goodridge line, not that it leaks? Do I need to file this down or is there something else wrong? Cheers for any help, need to get my car back on the road
  2. It is possible to repair certain damage to sidewalls as well, but you need a special kit and training to do it. I personally wouldn't trust it on something like a Supra though. I used to work for a company selling tyre and garage equipment and they did training on the kit to do it. I'm afraid I don't know any specific places that have it. Maybe the Stapleton's STS Tyre Pro's places? And don't believe that if it's too bad they won't repair it, there's lots of places that wouldn't give a monkies.
  3. Hi Everybody, I've got four HP C4096A toners for HP LaserJet 2100/2200 series printers here surplus to requirements. Brand new, sealed in the boxes and genuines toners not cheap and crap refills. Looking for £30 each plus postage. Thanks, Mark.
  4. Lol.. Very good Looks like I might have found help with a local uni lecturer who is looking for projects for his degree students this year. Sounds ideal for both of us.
  5. National Trust membership is quite affordable, about £70ish a year for a couple and as said there are thousands of properties around the country to go to. Problem is most of them don't really open until March. I got a membership for Christmas and there's only a couple of places within reasonable distance of me that open between now and March
  6. Hi Everybody, I'm looking for somebody who is good with graphic design to help out with designing and producing a logo for a website/forum I am trying to get running. It's sort of a charity venture, as in it's a totally non-profit organisation that I am setting up as a support group and information centre for people who are having or had a bone marrow transplant. My design skills aren't great and my graphics skills are even worse but I need something to use. I will need it in a few formats and in high resolution so it can be used online and on printed media for advertising. Unfortunately as it's not a money-making venture I don't have any money to offer for this, so it will have to be out of the goodness of your heart, but you will have done your good deed for the day If anybody can help and would be willing to help, I really would be most appreciative. Thanks, Mark.
  7. I run a pair of Goodyear Eagle F1 Asym's on the back of mine and I'm very impressed with the wear on them, much slower than the GSD3's I had before. I generally run them at 36PSI too with even wear so far across the tread (3-4000 miles since fitting).
  8. Since there were over 200 UK Manuals made I'd say there's at least that many plus anybody could have bought one from a Toyota dealer, they weren't limited edition.
  9. I'd never get my fat arse in that!
  10. Only just seen this, it was me! Thank you very much
  11. These used to be like that but I've been using the car a lot more recently and they seem to have become looser and do it a lot more!
  12. Hi everybody, I've got a pair of Recaro SR's in my car and the drivers seat slowly winds itself back a little every time I get in the car. After a few in and outs, you find yourself almost laying down! Has anybody got any idea if there's anything I can do to stop this? By adjusting the mechanism or something? It's starting to get annoying when I'm using the car a lot during the day, and I often don't notice until I've pulled off and start thinking "hmm, I'm sure I could reach the steering wheel easier earlier!"
  13. Would have been me I saw you at the last minute too and would have waved if I'd have seen you!
  14. I am interested but would like a photo please?
  15. Looks great, I'd be very happy with it. Don't know if it's the light or does the door look lighter than the front and rear wings anyway?
  16. Nice work there Garfy, well done! Wish I had the skills and patience to do that kind of thing.
  17. Do you know what the paint code is for the red bumper? And what condition it's in, any chance of a photo please?
  18. Well I had to use the car for quite a long trip, so wiggled the wires a bit and made sure all was on there ok before I went and she behaved quite well. Not perfect but no noticeable misfiring. One of the clips on one of the coil plugs is very loose so not holding well and they're generally a bit sloppy so I'm hoping it's just that. I've got a spare set somewhere, just got to find the 'safe place' I put them in!
  19. Ok thanks Dick Was gonna go and have a look now but the heavens have just opened!
  20. No Dick, do I just do this across the terminals on each pack? What are the specs it should be within? Haven't looked at it at all, was fed up with it last night so just went home and left it.
  21. I doubt it will be the plugs as they've done only a few hundred miles, I replaced them when I put the other coil packs on. I already have the connectors, I've had them since I bought the car three years ago, just never put them on. They all look fine, as I checked them over, but I'm wondering if you can actually see it on them when they break down?
  22. First time in two weeks I've been able to drive the car as have had no money whatsoever for petrol and she seems to have developed a misfire from just sitting there Somebody kindly lent me 20 quid so I thought I'd go for a blast, put some petrol in, went to put some air in the tyres (bloody Tesco have started charging 20p for air ) and then once sheit was nice and warm took it up my favourite road to let rip. Pulling hard through 2nd, as I changed up to 3rd I thought the rev limiter had cut in early which was strange, then as soon as I got back on the gas in 3rd she started misfiring really badly I put some second hand coil packs in a couple of months ago from a member on here who had written his car off, as mine had a slight misfire when cold. These were fine for a while and then started doing the same, now this. I did notice that even the second hand coils had cracks in the corners by the bolt holes like the originals and wondered if they'd be ok, but now not so sure. To top it off, there was a small cloud of smoke when I started her so I think the valve stem oil seals are going too. She is on 126k so expected soon I suppose..
  23. I've got no way of getting them there unfortunately and that always drops the price. I'd be happy with a ton for the pair but don't see that happening if they collect.
  24. Neither have cats unfortunately. They're old Pug 405's. One starts but needs work for an MOT, the other might or might not need MOT work but has no head as it cracked it and the heater matrix. I don't have the time of inclination to fix them, and need some quick money. I did sell them on eGay but the guy is messing me around and I'm not in the mood for it
