  1. I understand the PCMCIA is better, unfortunately it's a new laptop and only has an ExpressCard slot which really narrows the options. It would probably be easier to get a cheap second hand laptop for just this purpose to be honest..
  2. Well it looks like I got sent (and paid an extra $50 for) the LM-1 RPM kit and I didn't think I needed it either. Bit of a pain..
  3. That's kind of the idea Dick.. I'm having second thoughts about one thing though, will PM Might need to just confirm a couple of wiring things with you regarding the Innovate kit too. Parts of their instruction manual might as well be in Chinese.. And there's only three hoses, and then a length of rubber hose and a couple of jubilee clips. Am certain the PHR turbo's aren't water cooled though, maybe somebody can confirm. What kit are you using Supra ST Myster?
  4. Can anyone recommend a good USB to Serial adaptor that will work ok under Vista and not get grumpy connecting to things like ECU's and Dataloggers etc.? There's plenty about but I'm not sure about the cheapy ~£25 ones in case they're a bit flakey. I have enough flakiness with Vista
  5. Not as far as I know, no. Had a quick look in the shed and couldn't see them, but I think they're under something else which I'll have out at the weekend
  6. One of the two packages from the US turned up today. According to FedEx the other one is still up in Stansted somewhere I assume they're sorting it for customs charges etc. and hopefully it will be here tomorrow. I've now got everything but the turbo.. http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-wholekit.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-dpipe1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-dpipe2.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-dpipe3.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-dpipe4.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-hoses1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-hoses2.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-pipes.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-manifold1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-manifold2.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-manifold3.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-ITSwastegate1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-ITSwastegate2.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-ITSwastegate3.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-InnovLM-1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-InnovLMA3.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/temp/singleconversion/Single-InnovXD-16.jpg Only thing I'm not sure about is the three hoses. There's obviously a small one that came with a blanking plug that is the oil feed and the blank is for blocking up the stock second oil feed. The big one is the oil return. But what is the other small hose??

    Tyre prices

285's will be fine on a 10J rim.
  8. Thanks Jody, let me know on the pics and I'll let you know on the clutch, cheers Is it a standard bearing or OSG specific, if so how much are they and can you get them? Hmmm, I have a 'lovely' ex-girlfriend you could gladly come and take away
  9. Understood. No pictures of it dismantled then? Anything else needed to go with it, new release bearing, new flywheel bolts etc.? A quick search tells me this is one of the best clutches for the mkiv, but common sense tells me you don't take testicles in part exchange?
  10. How many miles has it done Jody? Looks like it's the complete kit to convert the release mech etc.? Any idea what pedal feel and bite is like? Cheers.

    Bloody notherners
  12. Cool, I'm hoping he'll be doing mine soon too Cheers!
  13. Who mapped your Link Graham, if you don't mind me asking?
  14. GT28's would be something else. That's the size turbo they use on S14's isn't it, they have a T28 as standard? Interesting project
  15. I think you could see close to 500 flywheel with the most extreme hybrids, depending on the car. I made as good as 400 flywheel on my UK spec at 1bar on standard turbos and just decats. With hybrids, cams, some kind of ECU to trim the fuelling and timing, I can't see 500 flywheel being unrealistic. Rear wheel though, no chance.
  16. Agree with that, most respected dyno in the country. The website is an original http://www.surreyrollingroad.co.uk/, god bless Google.
  17. In which case replace pressure for airflow
  18. Extra stress on the internals of your autobox. There's a good reason it doesn't shift that quick as standard.
  19. Essentially option B is fine for a MAF car like a UK Supra as it is just rescaling the MAP sensors output voltage. The UK ECU doesn't pay any attention to this for fuelling, it uses the MAF which has nothing to do with fuel cut. By the look of that diagram it also never lets the MAP reach it's fuel cut voltage, it stops just before it. For a car that solely runs a MAP sensor like the J-spec Supra, that is bad as MAP sensor voltage and therefore air pressure reading will be telling the ECU the wrong things and will cock up your fuelling slightly. Hence, option A should be used as it keeps the signal the same until fuel cut needs to happen then stops it just short of the fuel cut voltage and caps it (i.e. 4.8V instead of 5V).
  20. It rescales the output voltage of the sensor against the pressure it sees. So that for instance if before 1.2bar = 5V now 1.2bar= 4.5V and 1.6bar = 5V. It's got nothing to do with injector duty.
  21. I know pepipoo is primarily about speeding, but they might have advice on this too? I'm pretty sure, as Ian says, that if the date of the offence has been filled in to be 30 years ago, they've stuffed up and it doesn't stand. Same about your name being wrong. Don't pay it, for goodness sake!
  22. It rescales it so that you in effect won't reach fuel cut.
  23. Shame as they generally do a pretty good job too.
