  1. Hi All, My other half's crappy Corsa B 1.7D had it's alternator fail recently (possibly my bad) and the battery on it lasted five days of starting and running with no charge before it died and would no longer hold a decent charge. I bought a Lion battery from Eurocarparts as it was cheap and had a 3 year warranty. Several times the car has been hard to start or even refused to start if left for more than 24 hours. You only get one crack at a cold start too! I've checked the alternator before when this happened and getting a healthy 14.7, plus after a jump and short run time the battery works ok again. This time I'd had enough so I took the battery back to ECP who promptly tested it and declared it healthy. I've been out and checked the Corsa for current drain and I'm only seeing 0.01A which is good. The guy waffled something about Corsa's having dodgy earths but all the connections look good and strong. Can anybody offer any advice, I think they're giving me the run around? Cheers, Mark.
  2. Hi Everybody, Can anybody tell me the size (ID) of the washer hose on the Supra please? I need to replace some and didn't think to check before I left the car earlier. Cheers, Mark.
  3. Hi All, My partner is selling her car as she wants to downsize to something small and incredibly cheap to run. 2002 Focus ST170 122k miles Winter pack: Climate control, headlight washers, Xenon headlights Half-leather New alternator New front tyres MOT until May 2012 Taxed until April 2012 Very good condition inside and out apart from a small 1" crack in the front bumper. Lovely car to drive, will be very missed! £1650 ono. Might also be intersted in a swap with Lupo/Polo/Golf with a little money either way. Cheers, Mark.
  4. Hi, I've got a pair of doorcards as I've just replaced mine. The passenger one is in pretty good condition with just a couple of small marks but the drivers one is coming away on the bottom edge plus has a couple of gouges in it and has a loose speaker grill that would need to be glued back on. I'm looking for £25 for the passenger one and £15 for the driver one, collection only from near Eastbourne, East Sussex. Driver: http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard1.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard2.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard3.jpg Passenger: http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard4.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard5.jpg http://www.i-macca.co.uk/stuff/supe/doorcard6.jpg I've also got a pair of front speaker boxes minus the wiring but still with the filling. The speakers from both of them were torn around the edges so no use. Either £Free to collector or just cover postage if they're of any use to anybody before I throw them away. Cheers, Mark.
  5. I'll take this please! How much do you want for postage?
  6. I was running late for an MOT so needed one ASAP. Worth having here for others though!
  7. I've just had to replace my battery, £60.40 from Toyota with a 3-year warranty. It is a lead battery and not a calcium one but the equivalent Halfords lead battery is £84.99!
  8. Hi Lee, I'd like to order a pair of these, how do I go about it?
  9. Blimey, thanks, they're about a third of the price!
  10. I might put together a DIY kit using the list on your website actually.. are there any particular LED's to go for? I've just had a look at the Maplins site for a reference and there's a whole bunch of different types, superbright, high bright, normal, T-1, 5V, low current, etc. etc.
  11. Aww dammit Ok, I'll wait until the new year, let me know when you're about to do them again. I'm starting to think white instead of blue for the dash, will have to have a bit of a think. I don't suppose you have any pics of a dash done in white do you?
  12. Hi Si, I'd quite like a pre-facelift set (assume UK is the same?) that are blue and just the rev counter goes to red for redline. How much work do you think it would be for the petrol gauge to go red when that's low? I was thinking you could easily take the feed from the normal orange petrol-low light so it would be fairly easy? I'd also like the DIY set of blue LED's for the rest of the dash, heater controls etc. Cheers, Mark.
  13. It might be the actual centre console I need rather than the lid. I can't see it at the moment as it's 15 miles away I'll be going over there Sunday/Monday so I might wait until then to check if that's ok. If you sell the bits before then no worries.
  14. Does the centre glove box lid come with the hinges? The missus keeps leaning on mine and not it's got a wobble! If it does then I'm after that and the Jesus handle please.
  15. Hi Everybody, I've got this set of coil packs from my UK Supra that covered about 100k miles before they were removed (assuming they were original). They were removed as I had a slight misfire when cold but a replacement set didn't cure this so I assume these are still ok. They're in good condition apart from some hairline cracks near the bolt holes. No guarantees with them but they'd probably do somebody a good turn if theirs are stuffed. Looking for £50 plus postage. Cheers, Mark.
  16. Hi, I'd like the boot carpet if still available please? And possibly the mats, can you tell me what colour the beading around the edge is as it looks white in the photo?
  17. Hi Everybody, Unfortunately we're having to sell my girlfriends GT-Four as we just can't afford to run the Supra and the 'Four any more. It's a lovely car and arguably more fun to drive on the B-roads than the Supra, but it's still just not a Supra It's also a UK car so cheaper on insurance. Full advert over at Pistonheads: http://www.pistonheads.co.uk/sales/2978406.htm Cheers, Mark.
  18. I fitted mine today as well and have just been for a test drive down some of my favourite dark country lanes.. They're awesome, I'm very pleased with them indeed. I'm really glad I went for the high beams too, they're like daylight when driving in the pitch black! I thought at first the high beam wasn't making much difference, but forgot you have to give it a second or two to come up to it's proper brightness! I'd thoroughly recommend them
  19. Darett, you're ignoring my PM's and I can see you have been online since I sent you a message. Can you please let me know what is going on as parcel was not sent when promised and you have not provided a tracking number, also as promised.
  20. Hi Darett, Have you got any of these kits left? I'd like at least the dipped beam in 4.3k or 6k for a UK and possibly the full beam too? Thanks,
  21. The firmware updated didn't fix mine, every now and again the sensor still doesn't turn the screen off. Funniest report I heard when somebody called Apple about this issue - "Sir, your ears are too clean, it needs wax to reflect the light back in to the sensor"!
  22. I love that snack van I dunno Dick, gotta be bordering on classic now surely??
  23. If there is damage to the hard pipe on the car, what are the options? From what I can see it's a long old pipe across the back of the engine bay and looks expensive and hard to fit. Plus the bit inside the wheel arch is very short so not sure of the possibility of replacing a small section?
  24. I've never heard that before? I had assumed they were road-legal as so many people use them. I'm pretty sure it's the right end, it looks pretty similar to the OEM one that came off. They're specific Supra fitment too.
