Sounds awesome, will check it out. Good luck with it!

She's the best! Glad you've managed to get back in the Supra fold, what are you building?
-
Sorry for the delay in getting back to you, I had a lot of interest in the car which genuinely surprised me. I'm afraid I'm going to take it off sale, my friends and especially my wife have talked me out of it (I knew I married the right one!). The thought of selling the car really made me miserable, and as all my friends have said, I will regret it. So I'll keep her and hopefully this year I'll be able to get her running again and enjoy her for a few more years. Apologies to everybody who contacted me, it was never my intention to mess anybody around. It seemed like the right thing to do but other possibilities have come to light over the last couple of days.

Change of plan - no longer for sale. It is with a very heavy heart that my beloved Supra goes up for sale. Please read the whole add before messaging, and please keep any negative comments to yourself. Genuine UK manual Supra, owned by myself since 2006 with 152k miles. Full body restoration in 2018 addressing some rust and with a full glass-out respray including refurbishing the alloys in a gun metal grey. Originally owned by Formula 1 driver Ukyo Katayama, with log book to prove. While file of paperwork from the years. I started on a conversion to single turbo but got slowed down by the pandemic, and then completely stopped with a new baby arriving last July. The car is currently mid-conversion and so undriveable but has everything needed to complete, as below. To complete it needs the fuel lines finishing, inlet manifold re-assembling, the ECU and associated sensors wiring in, and then a mapping session. So not a lot of work or money to complete. This has everything needed for 600+bhp. Current spec: - Rota GTR 18” wheels, 8.5” front, 9.5” rear with Goodyear Eagle F1 Assymetric tyres all round - Blitz Nur Spec exhaust - Whifbitz 3” decat pipes - Whifbitz FMIC - Recaro confetti seats - OS Giken TS2CD, full overhaul kit fitted in 2014 and covered less than 6k miles - Front calipers overhauled 2019 with genuine Toyota kit - Rear light clear indicator conversion - Facelift headlights - Facelift clear front indicators - Clear side repeaters - Innovate LM-1 wideband sensor and LMA-3 aux box Fitted but not yet used (all brand new): - PHR Street Torque Kit; PHR log manifold, Precision 6266 0.81A/R turbo, Precision 46mm wastegate - Whifbitz Top Feed Fuel Rail - ID1050X injectors with PnP tails - Braided fuel lines for the top feed rail and removal of fuel damper Not yet fitted: - Whifbitz twin-box 3” exhaust - Brand new Toyota front subframe support - Complete set of genuine Toyota discs and pads - Rear caliper overhaul kit with Chris Wilson stainless steel pistons - Link G4+ PnP ECU with MAP sensor, boost control solenoid, IAT sensor, and XS loom - Burna's Link ECU 3D printed covers - Walbro 455 Fuel Pump - Fuel Pressure regulator with gauge - Most of a full Genuine Toyota head gasket kit Also comes with: - The entire stock twin turbo system - A complete genuine standard exhaust minus the rear cat as it started blowing - A spare 2.5” rear decat pipe that I was planning on getting fitted with a cat for MOTs - The active spoiler set up that was removed to fit the FMIC The bad bits: - The Recaro’s are tatty and in need of new foam and a re-trim - The dashboard panels could do with stripping and re-coating, they’re not awful though - The gear stick gaitor/trim isn’t original and doesn’t fit well - The front bumper has some damage around the driver-side headlight washer where my mates car rolled in to it - There are signs of the paint bubbling slightly on the sills under the doors - The rear lights have a tendency to mist up and need re-sealing - The rear steel part of the front subframe is rotten through, but the car comes with a brand new one to fit The engine oil has been changed every 3000 miles or annually depending on which has come sooner, for many years this has been annual as it hasn’t covered many miles at all. Spark plugs were always changed at the same time with NGK coppers to the correct heat rating and gapping. The original radiator was replaced a couple of years ago with once from Chris Wilson that is very similar to the original design. The cam belt has been changed as required (I have invoices for the work) and at the last change the front main seal was replaced too. The water pump has also been replaced during my ownership, probably about ten years ago. I’ve owned this car for nearly 15 years and am very attached to it. My situation means I could do with selling it, but I am fully aware of how rare it is and so ask that you do not make offers. The asking price is the asking price, I will not be swayed. If it doesn’t sell I’ll try and sell one of my poorly functioning kidneys instead. The car is in East Sussex for viewing, obviously once coronavirus restrictions allow. You will obviously need to trailer the car away.

Ok, assumed it would be something that was discontinued. Will see what they're going for when everything opens up again.

Hi All, I'm in need of the steel front cross member, the bit that bolts to the alloy subframe. Anybody got one for sale? Thanks, Mark.
-
Thanks for the replies, I’ll investigate those. Typical that last time I looked at eBay there wasn’t anything there! Ideally, but I’ve given up on finding one, or at least one not requiring a remortgage!

Hi All, Still looking for a standard front bumper, colour doesn't matter but needs to be in good condition, no cracks and not bent. Thanks, Mark.
-
Hi, I've upgraded to 3" pipes so these are surplus to requirements. Have been on the car over ten years but in good condition. Downpipe has boss for wideband lambda sensor and is for UK turbos. I believe the second pipe will fit UK and Jap. Collection only from Crowborough, East Sussex. £120.

Hi All, I'm looking for a standard pre-facelift front bumper. Colour doesn't matter as it will be painted, but must be straight and free from cracks. Many thanks, Mark.

Bump - still available!
-
Sorry, now added. That'll teach me for copying from the Facebook group!

Black carpet, originally grey, just dyed again and comes with a spare bottle of black dye (just in case). In very good condition, couple of flat spots but would be covered by mats anyway. It’s not patchy as it looks in the photos! £60 Collection from Crowborough, East Sussex.

Aren't they Rota Grids? -
Sorry, no, only this one.

Bump - open to offers.

Today I finally found some time and nice weather to put the interior back in. Big thank you to Paul for the UK carpet, I had huge regrets from selling my UK interior years ago so it's good to start putting it back to how it was. So it's all now back in, apart from a load of broken clips and missing screws. Quite a few of the plastic panels could be in better condition, and apologies for the horribly knackered drivers seat that lets it all down! I'd forgotten how much noisier it had become without carpet and rear seats, so nice to drive again now! Now saving to get the interior re-trimmed in leather..

Hi, Offside front wing and spoiler, both in red. Both are scratched and need to be repainted, the spoiler has some minor chips here and there but easily filled if painting. Wing is straight, just scratched up. Wing - £80 Spoiler - £50 Collection only from Crowborough, East Sussex - sorry but I just don't have time to find packing materials and get it to a post office etc. Cheers, Mark.

Big thank you to Jamie for looking at this for me!

Thanks Jay, I assume Jamie is jimjam above, and i've already dropped him a PM

Thanks all for the replies, I'll have a call round and see who can do the best quote. For the record, I was perfectly happy with the quote, but am unhappy with the customer service in this case. I used Adrian Flux years ago and the service was terrible, I'd hoped it had got better by now.. Hi Dick - yes, still got her! Finally getting round to sorting everything out, don't know if you've seen the refurb project in Supra Chat?
-
Hi, Currently insured with Adrian Flux and they have just rejected my agreed value request with no reason attached, and no request for additional information. Rubbish customer service which I don't have to put up with, so looking to change to somebody who can provide that basic service. Who are people using for agreed values on their cars? Any recommendations? Cheers, Mark.

I went in at 18k back at renewal in September, the car has been away since May. The interior and engine bay are 'tatty' at the moment, all present and working but not the best standard yet. The only UKs going recently have been high-end single conversions so I really wasn't sure where to aim. I'm thinking I probably should have said £20k though.. It was A1 Automotive Race and Restoration in Livingstone, guy's name is Martin Leeder. Their Facebook page is worth a follow, a couple of the company directors sons do some racing (one in BTCC) and they get the cars in there sometimes. One of the best to follow was repairing their E90 3-series (I think it is!) from pretty serious damage in four days, cutting out the A-pillar and part of the sill from a donor car. Top work.

I love threads like this, so thought it was my duty to share the story. I'll keep it up to date as I do more bits, there's lots on the to-do list, but time and funds mean it has to go a bit at a time. Thanks - ten years and counting! I did think about re-shelling a couple of years ago, for me anything but another UK manual shell wouldn't be doing it justice and they're rarer than rocking horse poo. There's so few of them now, it had to be saved. And yes, very well waxoiled! One of the reasons for the rust on the rear offside quarter was that it appears to have been repaired at some point and was devoid of any protection, so it had been sitting there rotting from the inside out for years. I'll definitely keep on top of everything now, have just spent a fortune in cleaning products to make sure I keep the paint in good condition. Bordering on paranoid!! Funny enough, I've *just* filled out the forms and submitted a load of photos and invoices for the agreed value. The valuation is hard though, so I think I'm on the conservative side at the moment, but will revisit that once the interior and engine bay are up to standard.
