i had apulsar for 4yrs great little car lots of fun. mpg was about 16/18 at best 1 gearbox went wrong 1 clutch went clutch master cylinder went the brakes as standard are really bad and quite dangerous upgrade to big brake conversion was about 400 you need to put a front mount if you take it over 0.9 bar boost another common fault is the relay switch for the fan goes sometimes. need uprated fuel pump with power mods my hand brake seized on as the cables and springs can rust get it undersealed on a new import if buying a used one in this country make sure it has been done other wise it rust to bits as mine did i then had to brake it for spares. if you put a front mount in you need to put the washer bottle and battery in the boot rear quater panels are prone rust. my brake lines burst on mine as well apart from all this i loved mine till the end and beat a lot of cars in it was running 295 bhp as well. lots of understeer without suspension mods
