  1. Just because you buy a Group 1 car for £100, doesn't mean that your premium will be proportionate. The same car ,say, valued at £2000 would probably be the same/similar to insure. If you are going to fork out for insurance, you may as well get a decent car, use it, then sell it when you are ready. As I understand, you are/will be a newly qualified Doctor, living in Manchester? Think you may need a defibrillator when you get your first quotes. Group 1 vehicles would be the sensible starting place.

  7. Then it must be one of the relay components within the fog light conversion. They are there to stop the "blown bulb" scenario which you now have. Check all the connections to the conversion. If they seem ok, then one of the relays used to "trick" the system has gone.
  8. Have you got the built-in rear fog conversion? This light displays on mine due to incorrect wiring (on to-do list). If not, deffo a blown bulb. Best to check when dark.

  14. Check this out for some groovy goodies, http://www.mvpmotorsports.com/Templates/frmTemplateM7.asp?SubFolderID=779&SearchYN=N Reading between the lines, and based upon the fact that its a NA run around, not being tracked/raced, stick to stock. Best way to upgrade your brakes is to fit braided lines and Chris Wilson fast road pads.
  15. Hope "patients" dont avoid the OP as he hopes to become a Doctor

  17. Next time she makes comment on the Supe, tell her "its not a matter of life and death. its more important tnan that" That will shut her up. Must be a common theme with Merc driving women, cos my 24yr old daughter asks me why I drive a Supe instead of Jag/BM, blah,shit,blah.....
  18. Think Kopite may have his number: though he is a fairly active user, maybe on hols before the Cup Final?

  21. Carl, what benefits would you gain by fitting LED's in the rear standard cluster? Are they brighter? Could they be confused for a brake light on, when it isn't? Just interested.
