  1. Maybe our hands and mouth are g-r-o-w-i-n-g?
  2. I remember when a pack of 3 in the pubs was 50p, and we thought that was extortionate then-which it was but there was only the local chemist then, and always a dolly bird behind the counter. IIRC if you had the courage to purchase from a chemist, they were around 30p- Durex Gossamer!
  3. no problem Adam. Would you like payment to secure? J16 would be great for me too!
  4. For those shaking their heads in disbelief, check out his location
  5. Yes, can you PM me your address please, or tell me your nearest motorway services/exit? Can pay you today to secure if you like? Tomorrow ok for collection
  6. If Mathew backs out, is quote 1 agreeable?
  7. Guys, this member has just crashed his car I don't think an off-topic discussion as quoted above is relevant when the guy is gutted. Thank you
  8. When did you last get a quote for a Sup before this? Have you moved address or changed jobs? Things other than the norm to consider.....
  9. Ok, I'll pay £60 for the fronts collected, you pay £40 Ps- you should change shocks IN PAIRS- I've got 2 stock rear shockers.........
  10. The NA is only a few quid less, if not the same to insure, as a TT. "J-spec" is your/our enemy

    3d tv

http://www.whathifi.com/News/KOREA-Samsung-aims-for-global-3D-TV-market-domination/ This months Whathifi has a 2 page spread, personally I will wait to buy one of these instead of a 60'' plasma next month.
  12. Think that might be rubbing it in
  13. If you were an existing policyholder I could have put you in touch with my insurer who doesn't take account of ncb Pity, I got my insurance on a daily driver Supra down from £950, to £360 as a weekend toy I'm a good 12 yrs older than you, and never claimed (touchwood), yet still got asked for that.
  14. Is your Supra a weekender? Is it garaged? Do you have daily driver insurance on a run-around? If you answered "yes" to all, I can help you.................
  15. Artex "can" be removed with a decent steamer, but its a PITA of a job, and the ceiling may have been tex'd from new, in which case it won't have been skimmed prior. Cut away the affected area to the nearest joist, patch-board in the same thickness, then your plasterer can skim the lot in. Artex really needs skimming over tbh, assuming youe ceiling is ok.
  16. If its electric, no issues if you ONLY have the illumination. If its gas-fired, the TV will be fubarred in no time
  17. So how much for the fronts as the rears are of no use if 1 is leaking Edit_ OOps- quoted Jackso, but the question is aimed at j80leo
  18. A-harrrrrgh........ Now I know why I can't see my needles properly at night. So, remove condom and re-insert old removed bulb. Thanks for that!
  19. If you want to split I'll take the fronts. Don't think they are refurbishable, but if they are, will take all. Have you asked CW if they are?
  20. Get your arse down to Richer Sounds, top of Renshaw St next to St Lukes church. I have done several installations, so guess you're lucky as I live near West Derby. No probs for me if you need help, as I need some cheap glasses!
  21. Just read this thread right through, wondering what it was about as your original post was some time ago. As I continued reading, I thought that it was probably a mini project thread, then BAM....... Gutted for you mate. Sincerely hope the car damage is how it looks,ie. panels. It needs a proper look underneath, which I'm sure you are aware of.Shite!
  22. Asda have got them on special offer last time I was there. However, as I live on my own I don't shop very often! Give them a try- though I would leave it till Monday. I hate supermarkets at the weekend.
  23. Copied for posterity. Thanks for a good laugh, Chris.
