    What BOV?

Since I sold my Supra I usually just lurk here but. I was on the don't need a BOV side. Until recently My FD had a GT4088 Turbo without a BOV. Started to have compression issue and found both rotarys were low on compression. When it went to be rebuilt the turbo was inspected an there was a large amount of play in the shaft. It was possible to move the compressor wheel about 5mm back and forth in the housing so the wheel was hitting the housing. Once the turbo was off and the housing removed both compressor wheel was missing about 1mm of metal and the housing had 1/2mm of metal missing. There were tiny shards of metal in the intercooler and pipes all the way to the throttle. So as the engine had only done 4500 miles since it was rebuilt it appears as if the compression had been lost due to the sharks getting into the engine The Compressor wheel had unscrewed itself, I was running 1.4Bar and the only way for it to unscrew would be compressor surge. So now I'm in the need a BOV camp
  2. Not a DJI Phantom but I'vs got a TBS Discovery. Word of warning the Phantom isn't powerful so in winds don't fly. I've flown with a friend who has a Phantom where i could fly without any issue when the wind went over 12 mph the Phantom struggled to cope. He's also lost 2 due to winds and that in Milton Keynes not Scotland
  3. I always thought auto dimming mirrors were a gimmick until a bought my current car.... Now I'm in the same boat of trying to retro fit auto dimming to my RX 7
  4. Tein Dampers are green those are yellow. Are you sure there Tein dampers?

  6. link That is alot for good brakes, bad bumper and bad wing From the pic it looks to be brembo as the disc don't look standard, center part of then isn't at right angles
  7. thursday morning i think it was the red one i spotted at the Team Valley roundabout under the A1
  8. Celica looks passable due to the roof, the supra looks just wrong because of the roof line......... and the price!
  9. Have you accounted for data roaming charges in your budget? Oh and Pics!
  10. Problem with insurance companies is you don't know how good they are until you need to claim and then it's to late.
  11. Wasn't this a thread about insurance not if dukenukem should dump the GF? Insurance would probably cost more than paying for roof and indicator.
  12. Had RPS street max in my old TT and lightweight flywheel. Worked well and never had a problem, RPS was rated at 600 lbs of torque, clutch was heavier. Wouldn't go near a paddle due to the grabby nature of them. Have a Carbonnetics twin plate in the my RX7 with GT4088 and it's taken all I've thrown at it, but the supra has more torque than an RX7. If you need more than the Street Max can offer do the right thing and go twin plate they cost more but car will remain very similar clutch fell.
  13. I have a twin plate in my FD and thought the clutch had failed as though the pedal appead to work the clutch wouldn't disengage. Tured out to be the clutch fork which isn't part of the kit had snapped. Mine is as slight as a std clutch too so stop start traffic isn't a problem.
  14. The update is 3.61, but same here get the same error that the network is undergoing maintence at least it shouldn't be long. Have read that the PSN is comming back region by region.
  15. Solved this now. I'd been using the correct config but I was expecting the VPN to come up as soon as I'd complete the configuration of it. So once I'd done it I sat and waited for the tunnel to spring into life......... but it never did. Now i know data has to be passed for the tunnel to come up. Only realised this after 10 hours of trying to find a solution.

  18. Know the feeling of waiting for your car to be on TV. It's worth the wait when you see it.
