  1. For what the guy intended it for, it looks okay I have seen worse on a Supra!
  2. Sell up and buy a tidy, sorted, Aristo
  3. Oh.... I feel like someone has just applied a set of UK fronts on my enthusiam....... with braided lines
  4. Personally, I'd only buy a car from another member or Jurgen If Racetech have a couple of cars you're interested in, then go take a gander and get a test drive to see how it fits at least. There have been a lot of cowboy car traders floating about over the years, be cautious and try not to get too caught up in the moment
  5. WOW, great find! Are these exact pattern parts, they look spot on. Absolutely unbeliveable price, i'll be getting a set in spring Thanks for posting
  6. All my mods are declared with elephant, no problems
  7. 7mpg in a R32!? What the hell were you doing with it? Mkiv Supra's were either n/a or twin-turbo; any single turbo mkiv will be an aftermarket conversion - i'm guessing you mean twin-turbo when you say single turbo? Your insurance seems mighty cheap considering your age, i'm having a guess that the quotation that you have had if for a UK spec car - J-specs will be substantially more expensive to insure. Worth taking a look into Answers to questions: 1) use the search bar its a very common question (remember that the Supra isnt really a 0-60 car, its more of a 60-180 kinda car!) 2) You can buy a really tidy manual N/A for under 4k, or you could buy a dog of a TT with an auto gearbox. For your average BPU auto TT you would be looking to budget between 6-7k 3) Use the search bar - there is also a Supra guide on here that explains all the different model types. Worth a read 4) You can buy an N/A for under 4k, but its not worth the extra expense of converting it. If you want a turbo, but a TT 5) The rear seats are vinyl, GZ and UK spec cars had leather front seats And a foot note; if you decide to buy a TT, it WILL cost you a great deal more to service and maintain than your Calibra and R32 combined
  8. Might this invalidate your insurance also?
  9. As above Replaced mine 18 months ago, if youre interested I can have a flick through my receipts and tell you what it cost - not as cheap as you'd hope if I remember right
  10. ooops, my bad (or good) Window regulator - p/n: Y69801-14111 - £62.63 inc VAT (Prefacelift J-spec TT)
  11. A bucket load cheaper than doing a Supra! Good work fella, looks really good. I've got a Honda XL250 waiting for me to do similar - just waiting for better weather. I'll be watching the progress, did you decide on the colour scheme yet?
  12. I think the LFA was only meant to a showcase of Toyota/Lexus abilities, I think they took a heavy loss to produce the numbers that they did At £330k, with very exotic technology, I think you'd be well within your right to class it a Hypercar - even if the GTR can keep up with it..
  13. I've said it before, but I think that the new shape XKR will be the peoples hero. If you love your mkiv's but want something fresher, then I reckon an XKR with some choice mods would be the direction to head. Cant see Toyota building another decent GT car; the NSX, GTO, 300ZX, and Supra technically would hold their own with the german and italian competition of the same era - especially the NSX aestetics wise. Unfortunately, these cars are now relics and times have changed. Japan seems more about everying other than GT cars. Works just fine for me though, I love owning a 20 year old car that can hold its own with most and looks as fresh as the day it rolled of the line - its the Ferrari for the average guy Supra's rule - dont need a new one
  14. I have no idea what the MOT regulations are on lighting, but it might be worthwhile checking. Then again, I dont know of many cars that meet strict MOT guidelines. Good luck with this, like you said it keeps you off the streets, and it doesnt even matter too much if you balls the headlights up
  15. Exactly what puts me buying a pre-built car
  16. This happened to mine last year. Unless you go to a breakers, you wont be able to get hold of the white runner. To be honest, it would probably be a bit of a balls ache to replace the dinky bit of brittle plastic. I just replaced the whole window regulator, you need to think that if that runner has gone brittle then what kind of condtion are the other going to be in. Your best bet would be to renew the lot (bar the motor, these are extortionate from Mr.T), I think the regulator is about £100, if you're interested then I can rifle through my receipts and tell you exactly what I paid and I can give you the part number too (drivers side window regulator for a 1993 J-spec TT). Pretty easy job too to be honest, took me about an hour
  17. Getting it sprayed by a bunch of tos*ers .....at a cost of £2600 I might add
  18. Good shout Like you said, you'll never want to sell the Supra as its a bit of a legend and you've put so much work into it. If you were to buy a GTR, you would have to spend a fricking fortune getting how you would need it (1000bhp+ ). Well i'm assuming you would want massive performance from it, would it seem like a lesser car if it couldnt out-peform the Supra?
  19. Would love to have the space to start something like this, great thread
  20. Is that a Whifbitz front bumper? TRD bonnet aint quite right - i'm out
  21. I've tried a lot of supplements, all deemed as the next big thing... Save your money. Eat clean 6 times per week, consume correct measures of protein, carbs and fats for your body composition and you're laughing. "NO Exploding Death-Napalm TURBO Mach3 TYPE-R" may stimulate you to press on through a tough session but so will good old school grit Back on track... GVT is a good body shocker, but you would want to run with it for longer than 1 week. Last time I ran a GVT program I did it for 10 weeks, made some decent gains on my legs
  22. Boostin it in the twisties..... brave man
