  1. cheers everyone, think i'll bin the high level ones on the wing
  2. does anyone know where the law stands on indicators/side repeaters? do i really need three different turn signals on each side on my front end? was thinking of removing the side repeaters on the wing, is that legal? could i get away with removing the ones on outside of the front bumper too? i guess what i want to know is, would it be "roadworthy" to just have the two front indicators that nestle into the air intakes?? cheers
  3. you paid 12k for it and want 5k, some depreciation, someone will get a bargain. very tidy looking car, good luck with the sale
  4. what are 'tucky 40's skirts? want them
  5. you have to go see......he did say he'd give it the beans! [GRIN][/GRIN]
  6. toyota shouldve made the top spec supra a big v8. 3.0L N/A, 3.0L TT, and a fat 5.7 supercharged beast. toyotas R + D guys are stoopid, what do they know....
  7. mine are the same; black bilsteins with trd logo. doesnt really answer your question though
  8. I dont feel that type 4 is massively overpriced, i dont even believe it to be overpriced at all. at 6.25 per litre, and considering it has the car manufacturers badge on the bottle, i think its cheap as chips. i dont cut any corners when it comes to my car. its not as if i scrimping my way through servicing my car either; the motul dextron retails in at a fraction more than the price of toyota type 4. despite the fact that toyotas type 4 is the stock lubricant for the 'box, i feel that maybe motul being a lubrication specialist might produce a better product. just wanted to doubley check dextronIII was okay; or if IID would be better.........................15hr shift at work is making me rant, rant about gearbox oil. IM LOSING IT how many times did i use words that begin with lube:eyebrows:
  9. cheers guys. thought it'd be okay, but wanted to check. i hold all of you liable...............
  10. Is motul dextron III ok to use in a tt autobox? just ordered some from opie, then read oem type IV is recommended. okay to use or cancel order?
  11. my flight was 21 hours with a drop off in dubai. 30+ hours would be an immense flight!
  12. spent a year in perth doing nothing but drinking, thrashing a beast of a camper van around and getting sunburnt. nice people, cheap cars, good weather.
  13. number plate for sale. B19 PCW.As said, non supra specific, but you never know. £500
  14. £800 retail on a windscreen????!?! the cumulative cost of my first 3 cars wasnt even £800! which robbin bastid gave you this price?
  15. it may look good it may not; its just the means that seem to boggle me. no offense intended to the owner or her craftsman of a boyfriend. the intent is there, curious to see the end product; both now and in 6 months time. interesting, not good, just interesting approach to kitting a car
  16. what next....cardboard crankcases. some people. would absorb some impact in a smash though. what a sight; 183mph supercar, foam everywhere
  17. wow, what a great idea.....all bodykit manufacturers must be quaking
  18. im confused? whats the score with the foam? why was the car covered in the stuff?
  19. looks good, i'll get filling then. cheers
  20. was watching top gear the other day; its was the one where clarkson tests the new jag xk across the yorkshire dales. he mentions the laws/regulations regarding the height of the brake light on the spoiler. how it has to be a certain height pending on the position of the rear window. the thing is; am planning to make the sup look as "stealth" as poss before the end of the year,; ie, flush antenna housing etc etc. one of the jobs i wanted to do was to remove and fill where the brake light is on the top of the boot. where do i stand with this??!?!? if i remove it will the car be un-worthy of our fine british roads? or does this rule only apply when vehicles have a rear spoiler (my car currently despoilered). or have i just misunderstood the clarkson and got it all wrong? anyone with knowlege of whats law or myth please comment, would hate to have my car crushed or whatever ridculous punishment the government is dishing for such huge disturbance of british roads.
  21. if your looking at 300bhp; sell up and get a tt...cheaper in the long run....and possibly the short run too come to think of it. a stock tt would be a better base car to work from than the n/a, you'll only find yourself wanting to wring more power out eventually.
  22. the fables you hear at work! a guy i work with reckons his n/a honda crx does the quater in 12.3, tops out at 170, and will do a 911 turbo on the twisties. he also told me he spent time in morroco in INDIA too so......tall tales
  23. i thought 20% increase with a healthy dose of nitrous was the acceptable figure?
  24. cheers, they look the business but just wanted to know if anyone had had some first hand experience with them. feel with defi, blitz...etc, etc; youre mainly paying for the name
