What sort of supporting mods went with the charger conversion? Very interested in the work involved with supercharging the 1uz safely; really want to v8 the supra in the next few years. Is the gearbox coping okay?

If the sensor that you're talking about is on the throttle body, and it's making a funny noise, then it's probably not a sensor at all. You'll probably find that it's the trac butterfly stepper motor. Replace it, see what happens If you've unplugged your idle control valve and plugged it back in, don't worry it'll return to its starting location
