Welcome My car had one of the cheapo Ebay one on when I bought it. Had to change it for a Thor one as the speedo was erratic, and sometimes didnt register at all. Not sure Thor do their DSC/TSD anymore, but i'm sure someone else will recommend you a decent one

As mentioned; hammering a £600 window wasnt for me either Had my rear window seal fitted today - the seal cost me £48 from mr T in kidlington (Steve Manley), and a gut at my local auto winscreens fitted it for £40 He did say whilst I was there that its a "glass out" job I can dig out the part number for the seal if needed?

Me too, I left it in the hands of a professional though Had the glass removed; he removed all of the old putty from the bootlid and window, fitted the new seal on (which he did say was only possible if the window is out), resealed, and refitted. Took him 20mins, took me £40 - bargain

Do as much homework as possible before buying one, you may find that its not the car for you

window removal advice anyone??

I have just take out a very flaky, perished rear window seal as it was passing rain and soaking my boot. The old seal came out easily enough with a bit of pulling and twisting; the problem I have now is fitting the new one I ordered a brand new from Toyota (£48 if anyone is interested), but it seems to be a very tight fit. I tried for over 2 hours to fit the seal, using washing up liquid, wd40, and hot water but no joy. Is there a certain nack to fitting window seals? Has anyone sucessfully fitted one of these before? I know it has been cold today, which will affect the plyabilty of the new seal, but I tried pushing this on until I got blisters - wondering if I was doing something wrong?? As it stands, i'm having to pull a sicky tomorrow to get the seal fitted. I'll probably take it over to autowindscreens or somewhere in the morning, but i'd still like to know just incase they have trouble - plus i'd like to hear that they're a PITA from someone else, it'll make me feel better

As it says; I need a drivers side window mechanism asap, as my window is currently held up with a cable tied piece of wood! I'm looking for the complete assembly (see picture) as mine is FUBAR cheers

I dont get it; street racing?? Is that like the stuff that goes on in "fast and furious"? Does this actually happen?? The term "street racing" sounds so official, like a planned event. Probably why it is coming across as chavvy; it gives the impression that there is a secret meet somwhere, where people prod around under bonnets, rev the tits off their engines, and are surrounded by 16 year old girls in velour tracksuits. A spirited drive on the other hand is a bit more grown up - not intentionally going out to "race" someone, but if the opportunity arises to give you car a little blip when confronted by a car with equal reputation - why not? Personally, I love driving fast and have owned superbikes in the past. Problem is that I drive about 300 miles, and have see some terrible accidents - more than enough to put you off. Also, the police are driving such a variety of unmarked cars and the 90mph instant ban is not anyones idea of fun. ...My TSD is disconnected

I would have thought that the better bhp/tonne ratio, and manual gearbox would have given the Integra a better launch. Thought the Supra would have been playing catch up until about the 80mph mark Then other factors need to be applied: quality of tyres, quality of driver, and the possibilty that your Supra is'nt performing as well as it did 15 years ago Its easy to quote factory spec, but shi*ty "mods", poor maintenance, and general wear will probably see a few horses bolting - may be why your midrange is'nt as expected ....Anyway, this "racing" that seems to be so popular (basically driving in a straight line, in a supermarket car park or alongside a chav riddled bowling alley) is for c*cks

Has anyone noticed the amount of Supra spares being offered on Ebay by "GTBITZ.COM" Was just doing a sunday evening trawl through Ebay, when I found: "Genuine" rear boot spoiler - £200 + £70 p&p Boot lid w/out spoiler or internal trim - £220 + £70 p&p N/S rear hub - £170 + £70 p&P Rear wishbone - £180 + £70 p&p All of these parts have been taken write-offs, none of the body parts seem to be in anywhere near good condition, and a lot of their prices are pretty much list price anyway; rear wishbones for example can be had for about £220 from a Toyota dealer Its obvious this company are not entirely sure what they're selling or what the value of these parts is. My favorite "ad" of theirs is a ad for a rear hub; the opening image is of a hand written tag, that originally states the part is for a Subaru, they have then put a line thorough it and toyota is written below...??? Its almost as it the thought "I know, lets take a picture of a sh**ty tag, that will obviously give the impression that these are genuine parts - should we worry about the crossed out Subaru bit......nah" Nothing else to say really, just tickled me

Yeah, I did consider that, bit worried that if i'm applying enough heat the cause the paint to blister - I'll be applying enough heat to warp, or leave heat spots on the lense. might have to go back to the drawing board
