  1. I have just checked through my old receipts, and i'm 98% sure that the part number is correct. Just double check the part description when you order the parts over the phone, better safe than sorry. 98% though
  2. Inchcape is Toyota! I paid £20.49 for all 8
  3. Me neither, I thought the factory fuel cut was the biggest restriction on a stocker
  4. The front and back anti squeal retaining clips - I take it you mean the ones that fit over the pads? Y47743-50020 - £2.62 each + VAT from steve@inchcape
  5. BigIan's dyno run on his stock motor sounds impressive; 335 bhp from a stock car is pretty good.. 352bhp however, on a stock car with 100k+ on clock is pretty much unheard of (i'm not having a pop by the way!)
  6. I hear superchips are doing this for £64.99.....
  7. I think that particular kit is for a left hand drive. Best off sending V8 Killer a PM, his name is Dusty, he works for MVP, and is a really helpful guy
  8. This guy has just used it on his weather strips http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?t=213327
  9. Give this a look, real carbon fibre is pricey so this might be an option if you dont want to spend a fortune http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LARGE-3M-CARBON-FIBRE-WRAP-VINYL-60x120cm-DI-NOC-31-99_W0QQitemZ320504124797QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4a9f88d57d
  10. Get out your tape measure chap! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/LARGE-3M-CARBON-FIBRE-WRAP-VINYL-60x120cm-DI-NOC-31-99_W0QQitemZ320504124797QQcmdZViewItemQQptZUK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM?hash=item4a9f88d57d
  11. Hello mate, It may be worthwhile using the "search" tap on the tool bar; but to be honest, most of the results you will find will basically equate to - fit a TT engine You could go ahead and fit less restrictive intake and exhaust, but dont expect any massive power gains with what you have. Unfortunately the N/A is not the best base to work from if you want a fair kick of power. Your best bet will be to go for some form of forced induction, I believe a member is currently working on a supercharged project on his n/a, and there are a few n/a-T kits floating around Just do a search and see what you come up with, there's so much you could do, it just depends on what budget youre working with Happy searching
  12. How does this stuff fit? I'm guessing it has adhesive backing? PITA to remove I bet, heatgun jobby
  13. What a shame.... I wouldn't be suprised if this guy had reciepts for up to £20k+ on this car; but I bet sweet FA has been spent on any form of maintenance/upgrade parts. Its all visual, visually sh*t. He'd be best off breaking this car, I'm thinking alot of the parts dont look to bad separately - for example: the door cards look like they have retrimmed in a nice beige leather, and the boot install would look nice in the right car, the same story with the seats The sad thing is, that car will sell and we will see it again, and we will rip into it and the new owner. Lets hope for a write-off...
  14. you mean wraith - 80's gold!
  15. highway men - a bit cheesy but theres a hemi 'cuda and a rhona mitra... nice
  16. At the minute, its possible to get hold of a tidy TT for £5k; as mentioned, you would probably be better off buyting a TT. As well as the cost implications of converting an N/A to TT: You'd have to consider the labour costs (if you're paying someone to do it for you), the quality of the work carried out, the administration work - ie informing the DVLA, your insurance company etc. Then there the quality of the transplant engine; not knowing how many miles it has covered, or whether it runs as it should until it has been fitted. If you're going to be keeping the car as a manual, you will need a decent clutch to tranfer the power to the N/A 5-speed gearbox - but staying with the 5-speed will limit you to what performance modifications you can do as it is not as robust as the 6-speed or TT auto. If you did want to upgrade the gearbox, you'll have to budget for either a quite expensive (about £2.5k) 6-speed manual, or the cheaper auto box. You'd be better off finacially if you bought a TT, plus you wouldnt have any of the hassle that goes with the conversion
  17. Fo' Sho' A lot of people are far too hung up on 500bhp; Is 500bhp the benchmark for having a fast car? I read the other day that RyanG had achieved 430bhp on stock twins, that would probably be a decent goal to start with, then go single if you need more. As for looking stock, doesn't the HKS twin-turbo set up have to sit high up in the engine bay due to the larger dimensions?
  18. Exactly what I was thinking; they look a little pitted in places too - no offense to ray
  19. Welcome In my opinion, admiral will be your best bet, I have insured all of my cars and bikes with them for about 7 years and have always found them reasonable - just be sure you declare any modifications as the will not be leanient if you have a prang

    Hello everyone!

Welcome, your bound to find a decent car on here. Loving them wheels by the way
  21. I want a decent cold air feed to my airbox, Im guessing this wouldnt be a great idea with a sidemount though. Any other suggestions to where the retrofitted air feed pipe could be ducted? Is there any room upfront?
