  1. Thanks to Mawby, Max, and Fizzle for the offers. Supracars has offered to help me out - bit of relief. Hopefully it'll pass its 3rd attempt at an MOT Cheers guys
  2. My friendly M.O.T centre have decided to not be so friendly after 3 years of trouble free testing Is there anyone that would be happy to let me borrow or hire their 2nd cat for a week or so? I'm happy to collect and return, and willing to pay for the borrowalisation Cheers
  3. Feel bad for you Chris, more than likely wont be a cheap repair if the oil pump is completely fecked. Just to get the ball rolling with the repair calculations, Whifbitz are the cheapest place about for OEM crank pulleys - about £230. Dont buy 2nd hand
  4. Its a lot of work if you're doing it yourself - if you're not doing it yourself, call one of the traders, i'm sure they'll be able to quote you for the full conversion and source all of the parts required
  5. My older brother loves his MR2 but never drives it, I think he has issues with the fact that it wants to kill him. You'll probably find the that Supra can also be a little tail happy on occassions, but its miles more versatile than the MR2. Better over a distance, room in the back if you have kidnapped two elves, the engine is more accessable if you're a "DIY'er", massive selection of aftermarket parts, inspires more confidence at high speeds, smooth power delivery (in stock form), oodles of torque
  6. Mk3? the 80's are dead! My brother recently sold his Mk3 G reg, white with blue velour tracksu.... interior, N/A, manual, 70k, some service history, completely stock. Got £400 for it. Lovely car, nice to drive, but you just got the feeling that he needed to have a mullet, and he should get in and out of the drivers side window. My other brothers Mitsubish Chariot almost kept up with it in a straight line The Mk4, with very minimal exterior changes, is timeless Oh and Mk3's are known to have their headgaskets fail

Just to give you an idea; the kind of ad you should keep an eye out for http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?229930-N-A-Supra-5-speed-manual-red

WOW, I really wanted to buy the car in the 2nd ad - I hated everything about it but the ad was just putting ideas in my head, was like a really trippy dream The best thing to do is to wait until a members car is up for sale. What you'll probably find is that the majority of Supras that arent owned by club members/enthusiasts, are rarely serviced properly. I guess this wont be so much of a problem with a N/A as it is with a TT. You'd probably want to steer clear of a car that has been overly tarted-up with sub-standard aftermarket parts: cheapo induction kits, ill-fitting wheels with crap tyres, botched on exhausts, and bodykits made out of papier mache and expanding foam. If you really want a decent Supra it may be worth trying to find one in standard condition, because as of late I personally have seen some real dogs being hammered around by little oiks, who usually bolt on the cheapest tack available on the interweb Godd luck with you search and be tough, try not to get all doe eyed when you finally test drive one
  9. What the hell was the first car? What a dog of a car, he struggled like buggery to get his fancy-pants gull wing rear door open. ....Dont think Admiral would insure them kinds of mods After market exhaust (tick) After market filters (tick) Engine management chip (tick) Abilty to drive on three wheels...
  10. "As with all Supra's you can never get the power down...." . Jerk. Did anyone else really enjoy the sounds that MG was making?
  11. The front end is covered in primer, must be a big ant problem in the area
  12. Chuck some "winter" oil in it. Metallic sounds arent good!
  13. The Veyron made it into production.... 6 wheels, the next big thing on the Jap scene
  14. Williams built a 6-wheeled F1 car in the early 80's, and it was (apparantly) absolutely ballistic. Didnt meets regs so they had to scrap the idea. Suprised none of the big supercar builders havent already gone down that avenue. I guess theyre too bothered by weight, emissions, MPG's etc..
  15. You know when you've had too much Grolsch, it's when you can no longer spell Grolsch
