  1. I've had my annual love-loss for my car; a little sunshine and a little polish has cured me and i'm ready to love again Just wanted to share... cant be MSB on a stock body in the sunshine And yes, that Fiesta absolutely dwarfs my car
  2. Cobra Guzzler? Not heard of these before..... also a little worried about googling them
  3. The post was aimed at carpo, all light-hearted though. GLWS Carpo, would love to take the lump off your hands - bad timing though
  4. Not sure what will happen with the Supra, but I have unexpectedly noticed mk2 16v Golf GTI's are fetching upto £4500 in stock trim. Same kinda story with E30 3-series, Corrado's etc. I'd like to think that for its time, and given its competion, the mkiv is more of an iconic Jap car than a 3000gto, 300zx, any skyline, any scooby, or any lancer. At the moment you seem to be able to get hold of a TT for under £4k, and an n/a for silly money. I guess this is a good thing as it offers up the opportunity for more and more Supra's to be abused and killed by chavs, in-turn making these cars harder to come by in pristine condition. I guess its the same with any car though, if you keep it in immaculate condition and mechanically sound, someone will pay over the odds for it if its what they really want. ....but then again, i'm never selling mine so I dont really give a sh*t!
  5. Indeed. How very dare you state how much you want to sell your own stuff for
  6. Comes with the territory i'm afraid
  7. Looks absolutely awesome I must say, I did think it was going to turn out like a sack of poop when you started the project thread (sorry) Toyota should start production
  8. Manual rad isnt compatable. The auto rad also cools/heats your tranny fluid
  9. Not to put a downer on the whole subject, but.... The insurance will be the first hurdle. These cars are cracking on, and are expensive (relative to what you consider expensive of course) to maintain. If you think ownership might be too expensive for you, then it more than likely will be. If you dont have much disposable income then be prepared to make some sacrifices What sort of budget did you have in mind for a car.... if you dont mind me asking that it?
  10. Its the engine light that would be the worry, the majority of the value of the car is under the bonnet
  11. I only see about 24 mpg on mine at BPU level, are you sure that the mpg's have dropped accordingly due to the increase in performance? Would the car not fail emissions or even edge towards borderline failure if the O2 was buggered?
  12. pezzler

    Shelby stripes?

What the hell is a ricer?
  13. Good call - thats just laziness, makes you wonder what else on the car hasnt been given proper attention
  14. Anyone got a reliable coilpack in good condition? Cheers, Andy
  15. Welcome! Shame you cant pop the door card off quickly to take a gander - the window regualtors arent massively robust. Might be a case of the regulator has bitten the dust, and the current owner has pinned it up with a length of wood or something
  16. I replaced my o2 sensor last week, £132 from Steve Manley at Inchape Toyota in Kidlington. It must just be me, but I found £130 inc VAT quite reasonable for a brand new genuine sensor - especially considering the car its for Would recommend replacing the o2 sensor, my car has been running so much sweeter since replacing it
